I was at CompUSA today looking for anything on clearance and it seemed liked at least 25% of the games had clearance tags on them but when I saw the prices I couldn't believe it.
Burnout 2 for XBox was on clearance for $49.99. SSX Tricky for PS2 was on clearance for $19.88. There were at least a dozen $49.99 clearance games and just as many if not more greatest hits/platnium hits games on clearance for $19.88.
To make matters worse, most other games were on endcaps with no price tags or any indication of how much they were. I was about to leave but on this rack, I saw Ikaruga, Gallop Racer 2003 and Resident Evil 2. I asked for price checks on them, Ikargua was $34.88, Gallop Racer was $39.88 but the item that didn't make the whole trip a loss..Resident Evil 2 was $29.88!
Normally I wouldn't think $10 off a MSRP is a big deal but considering how rare the game is, I decided to pick it up. I know it was a good deal but I'm still confused on how CompUSA thinks $49.99 prices as a clearance is going to fool anyone.
