hopefully it will be better now that it is on USA. they have been slacking the past couple of weeks
Slacking the last couple of weeks? The WWE has been slacking the past couple of years but hopefully with TNA doing better it will make the WWE work on their product a little more and we get some better quality matches.

Also, cudos to CheapyD for having a least one more contest before his move to Japan.

I don't care for WWE anymore. They need to go back to their roots and just wrestle. Forget all of the storylines shut and wrestle. IMO TNA has it right why can't wwe see this. However I still watch wwe ever now and then.

I did read that Raw would not air 3 times next year due to the dog show and the US Open. But, they are going to bring back Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC for a few episodes which will be Raw shows.

Yes, Raw will be pre-empted for both the fucking shitass dog show as well as for the US Open.

In all honestly, staying up late to watch tennis and then Raw was never a bad thing to me. At least tennis is a sport. But the dog show? Who the fuck thought to put that shit on prime time? I'd rather watch a fucking spelling bee. Or two people suffer through playing Shaq-Fu.

I agree that they have been slacking the past few years, but Casey is right, the past few weeks raw has been sucking really bad.

I hope there's some sort of big title change on RAW. I was thinking that with Triple H coming back, and the fact he was supposed to feud with Flair, he might cost Flair the IC championship.

In! The homcoming should be interesting to watch, but only because of the guys you don't see every week anymore. I miss the monday night wars days.
Wow, WWF (well WWE now) on USA, now that brings back some fond memories.
Saturday Night's Main Event will bring back some fond memories

GOOD competition is a good thing! So when is TNA going to air now, in the Raw timeslot? HMM 8 pm also, looks like Vince is trying to take the WCWs slot and give the WWF slot to TNA, or is is still gonna be 9-11? I haven't watched it in about a month.

RVD is coming back at the beginning of next year accordibng to his latest interview. TNA is going to be on Saturday nights at 11:00pm. This Homecoming show should be excellent except for that recycled angle with Bischoff vs. Cena. They are trying to make it another McMahon vs Austin angle. Its not even close to how good that was.
Here's to hoping RVD makes his return there.
one can hope, but it doesn't sound like he'll be back until next year
Is RAW switching back to the 3 hr format or is this just for this special occasion?
No, to answer your (and $hady's) question, this is a one time thing. Raw will go back to 9:00-11:07 the next week.

TNA has a shit slot, Saturday nights from 11:00-12:00, repeats on Monday nights from 12:00-1:00AM.

Thank the maker for tivo!

how is this gonna affect my beloved ultimate fighter?

Ric Flair's best friend is returning. Triple H will proceed to get his title back by the end of this year. I am also hearing that The Rock has retired.

Spike is playing off of WWE's success that it had on it's network...they are hoping to get people to sit in front of their TV's for 5 hours this monday and 4 hours every week after that. The Ultimate Fighter season one was successful because it aired right after Raw and a lot of WWE fans ended up watching that show. Now they are going to put TNA right after the Ultimate Fighter to attract a lot of the WWE viewing audience.

Whoopee-shit. You figured out what EVERY TV CHANNEL wants you to do.

Ultimate fighter, to the best of my knowledge, isn't changing at all.

You can't see me. My time is now!

Wish Bret would be there. I'd heard he would be, but I don't believe there is a chance in HELL!

and that to me is worth a couple pre-emptions a year. One of the biggest incentives of the whole Viacom deal was supposed to be the synergy between all the networks. WWE could gain more exposure through their alliance since Viacom owns CBS, MTV, Nick, UPN, Spike, etc. But Viacom rarely advertised or promoted the WWE and seemed more than happy to let their lesser shows flounder in the ratings (where as USA surrounded shows like "Sunday Night Heat" with original programming that would appeal to a similar demographic and often featured appearances by pro wrestlers).

NBC has only been aligned with the WWE for a short time now, and they've already done more for them than CBS ever did. I've seen ads for RAW's move to USA on several NBC programs already and the fact that they are willing to take a risk and let the WWE have occasional specials on what is typically a slow night for them shows me that they really want to gain more exposure for this product and make it a success.

This "homecoming" is long overdue... I just hope the WWE can capitalize on this oppertunity by stepping their game up and recapturing the magic that made the "Attitude Era" so special.

Didn't TNA when it was on Fox Sports Net come on at the same time? That sucks I liked it better when I could just watch Impact! through www.tnawrestling.com whenever I wanted. Sadly I don't have a DVR device so I guess I will see it every once in a while when I am up to watch it.

I just watched the ECW One Night Stand a few nights ago. I wonder how many of them (former ECW wrestlers,) wish there was more action, and less soap opera...

Here is the official Raw Homecoming Preview:

WWE Homecoming
October 3, 2005

They say you can’t go home again, but next week, RAW breaks the rules one more time as the flagship returns to the USA Network with a bang.

Two weeks ago, Mr. McMahon decided that John Cena would make his first defense of the WWE Championship on USA against none other than RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff. Last week, Kurt Angle put Cena through a table with an Angle Slam, and the final RAW on Spike TV went off the air with the GM holding the WWE Championship high (WATCH this video). Was this a premonition, or will The Champ overcome the odds once again to retain his gold?

Prior to disrupting last week’s main event, Angle campaigned to Mr. McMahon for another title shot, claiming he earned it by defeating Cena at Unforgiven. Angle’s plea was interrupted by Shawn Michaels, and after a verbal sparring session, Mr. McMahon announced a blockbuster: HBK vs. Angle in a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match at Homecoming. Kurt made Michaels tap out at WrestleMania, with HBK evening the score at Vengeance; next week, the man who can score the most falls in 30 minutes will take the rubber match. Angle also put HBK through a table at the conclusion of last week’s RAW; will this give the Olympic Gold Medalist a leg up?

While RAW begins a new era on USA, one man will see the end of his RAW days at Homecoming. The rivalry between Edge and Matt Hardy will come to a head when they do battle in a Loser Leaves RAW Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Last week, Hardy sent Edge flying off a ladder, giving the fans a brief preview of next week (WATCH this video). Will Edge be at 100 percent next week to eliminate Hardy once and for all, or will Matt claim a shot at the WWE Championship and put his nemesis out of a job?

SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long made an appearance on RAW, asking Eric Bischoff for some exposure at Homecoming. Mr. McMahon thought this was a great idea, and has given Long the opportunity to have a SmackDown match on the show. Be sure to tune into Friday Night SmackDown to see who will compete in this historic match.

Also, Women’s Champion Trish Stratus and Ashley will face Torrie Wilson, Candice, and Victoria in a three-on-two Bra and Panties Match. Candice made the challenge after Trish and Ashley stripped her to her bra and panties last week; which Divas will be brought down to their lingerie at Homecoming?

And finally, WWE Homecoming wouldn’t be complete without a dose of the men who helped get RAW off the ground. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper will host Mick Foley on Piper’s Pit. Also, WWE Homecoming will feature the return of “The Texas Rattlesnake” Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and Triple H.

On top of all this, several legendary names from the past will also be appearing on RAW Monday night. Scheduled to appear are "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Jimmy Hart, Hillbilly Jim, Superstar Billy Graham, Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Harley Race, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Chief Jay Strongbow, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Nikolai Volkoff and Koko B. Ware.

Don’t miss an action packed three-hour extravaganza when RAW returns to USA Monday night at 7:55 p.m. ET.

Stay tuned to WWE.com as more information on RAW's move to USA becomes available.
Hopefully they make better storylines now that Triple H is back, cause the ones with Cena as the main character have been horrible.
I think Cena's program with Kurt Angle is doing just fine. The last thing I want is five more years of HHH in the title scene. If HHH comes back and stays out of the title picture for more than two months, I'll be surprised.

I'm looking forward to this show, it seems like the last month or two the writers have been saving their good ideas for when they return to USA and using the throwaway ideas to book Raw. Arrested Development vs. Raw this monday, i'll tape both, but which one to watch? Hopefully Triple H's extended promo happens to start things off so I can watch AD.
Hopefully Triple H's extended promo happens to start things off so I can watch AD.
Oh ya... I see the irony here

I miss the late 90's WWF days, back when there was DX, the Stone Cold/Rock IC feud, Undertaker crucifying people, Foley's multiple characters. Those were the days. I'll be watching Monday to try and get back into it, but I dunno if I can. WWE really needs some good competition so they can put out a better product.

I welcome back Mick Foley with OPEN arms.

I still think back to the Undertaker-Mankind Hell in a Cell matchup in 1998.

Wow, that was awesome.

While I don't mind John Cena (although I find him a rather derivative) and I love Kurt Angle, I think this fued has been rather lame. I wasn't a huge fan of the Jericho/Cena fued at first but that grew on me with each passing week. It made for an awesome Summerslam match, and the follow up on RAW was just as engaging. On the other hand Angle vs. Cena seems to have lost steam more and more each passing week. It's simply too repeatative and lacks that "x factor" that really draws in the audience and gets them interested in the outcome. The fact that HBK/Masters and Edge/Hardy have been higher in the card during some recent RAWs reflects that.

I look forward to seeing where they go with things following the Homecoming and more importantly, post-Taboo Tuesday, heading into Survivor Series.
