Crank: High Voltage - In Theaters Now!

Finally watched the trailer....Seems like a lot of cussing for the sake of cussing. And a lot of boobs, porn stars and guns. For anyone still doubting, that definitely is Jenna Haze. I'm sure it'll get crappy reviews but it will make money. Doesn't look bad, just not worth seeing in theaters

I just bought the first one on impulse while leaving Target.

Watching it under the correct pretenses, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I could not stop laughing.

THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST MOTHERfuckING MOVIE. GODDAMN.

Also, Shoot 'Em Up 2, plz (although that movie had the perfect ending, so they probably shouldn't mess with it).
Why are there people trying to explain his fall to "death"? It doesn't need to be explained.
People have survived falls of that distance. It's a fluke when it happens, but...

Anyone happen to know where you can get ringtones for your phone like how Chev's ringer sounds? I know his might not be real, but I like these "different" sounding ringers Than the gay ones that come with all the phones I've gone through so far. Thanks

Meant to go to the midnight premier but was busy. :/

Will go this weekend I am psychedddd to see it.

Also waiting to see Neveldine/Taylor's next movie, Game (or Citizen Game, or whatever it's called now), in September.

omg, this is going to be so awesome - my friends and I have been looking forward to this since we walked out of the theater after the first one! Only a few more hours until we see it...

Looks like we're in for a real treat :D
Okay, no doubt Crank 2 is utterly kick-ass, but please try and avoid linking to reviews written by Harry Knowles. He is an insane manchild who is seriously constantly high on something that makes him insanely enthusiastic about everything, and acks like every movie he sees reached out of the screen and gave him the best blowjob ever.

Like I said, positive reviews of Crank 2 are great, no question, but Harry is not known for being a good source for reviews, and some people think that him being so enthusiastic about a movie, usually means it sucks. Heh...

I have the flu and a snapped jaw, and I have been instructed by my doctor to stay in bed, get plenty of rest, and move as little as possible.

But there is no force in heaven or hell strong enough to keep me from seeing this tonight.

This movie looks dumb as shit. I don't care if it's meant to be a popcorn muncher. Isn't that the guy from Transporter 3? That can't be good.

The movie is a spoof of the action genre. It's supposed to be stupid and funny.

I'm probably going to get bombed for this one, but I have no desire to see this. The first one was all right, but I've grown so tired of Jason Statham's one trick acting. He's the same character in every freaking movie he's ever done. Mr. Slick, Bad Ass Tough Guy with a chip on his shoulder and a too cool for school attitude. Oh, and the intimidating scowl and accent. Can't forget that. I actually really liked him in the first Transporter and Italian Job, but then he just kept rinse/repeating too much. How many different ways can he beat somebody up or drive a car really fast? He's gotta be one of the most self indulgent actors on the planet. All right. Call me a retard. :)
I've hated Jason Statham FOREVER.
So, it's not just me then? haha. I don't know why, but I'd just love to read a headline one day to find out that some unassuming person like Bob Saget or Ryan Seacrest kicked his ass outside a bar or something. The joy that such a story would bring me is really immeasurable.

Hmm... looks like you win. it's 80% on rotten tomatoes so far. I just don't think I'd enjoy it. I guess I'll watch it if some friends go.

yes it would be funny, but if you even know the guy... it'll take much more than Bob Saget.

Jason is that good, but all the movies do tend to be typecasting the guy. He has been in a couple foreign films that tend to go away from the tough guy role....

Saw it, loved it. Was hilarious in every way possible. Not going to win any awards, but it was worth every penny.

Go in expecting a violent, funny romp and you will not be disappointed. Especially if you like Jason to begin with.

Yea, I hated the first because I took it too seriously. I watched the first one a couple of months ago and enjoyed it greatly since I took it as a stupid and over the top spoof. So I'm kinda interested in this now knowing it's not some hardcore action movie, and since Keith Jardine has a cameo.

Damn it, nEEd/wANt to see this!

Just got back.

That movie was fucking awesome. It was everything I wanted it to be. I love how it literally starts exactly where the first movie left off. Seriously, I haven't enjoyed myself at the movies this much in a long time.

I love when he tried to hijack some random dude's car and just fails

To all the Statham haters, yes, it's true that he mostly does shitty movies. I can't stand most of his work, personally; but every once in a while he does something that takes him away from his usual 'badass in a tuxedo' role. Crank is definitely one of them. He's still a badass, but he's not his usual, slick, polished badass with a heart. The whole movie is basically Jason Statham running through a city being a huge asshole to everyone he meets, and the results are hilarious.

If you ever want to see Jason Statham doing something that doesn't totally suck, I definitely recommend Crank, as well as Revolver (which didn't fare well with critics or audiences and I have no idea why; I thought it was fantastic) and The Bank Job, which I haven't actually gotten a chance to see yet but I've heard great things.

You haven't seen his two best movies.

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.

Matter of opinion, I personally thought Bank Job was better then those. Close though.

I can't wait to see this!! I'm going to check this out on Tuesday night, we have a group of us from work, (like 15 of us ) that are going to go to the 10pm show, it's going to be sick! SWEET!
The first one was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

This trailer looks like it will top that. It's so stupid and nu-metal.
I agree.... looks like the dumbest movie ever. At least I didnt get suckered to see the first one

I hope to go see this tomorrow. I like most of the movies that Statham has been in but his best work had to be Transporter because he has done three of them and if people didn't like'em they wouldn't keep making them. Remember, he is in a lot of Guy Richie movies which are normally hit or miss with people so keep that in mind.

I rank'em like this:
Transporter
Bank Job
Snatch
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
Crank
Italian Job
Death Race
Revovler (One of the few times he has played a role with hair)

Gonna see this today.

Totally forgot that the first one opened up with Statham smashing a television while Refused is playing.
 Sorry dOOd but... really? The Bank Job... ? Next you're gonna say his medevil movie was his best work.
Different strokes man. Also, Dungeon Siege is a piece of shit.

Just got back from seeing this. It has to be more fucked up then the first. It was one of the dumbest movies I have seen and that is a good thing. It was funy as hell and is one of them good movies that are made to just be crap. If they were trying to make a good movie it would have sucked but they were just making fun of the action movies that are made and that is what was so great about it.

I saw this last night - if you were a fan of the first, you'll love this one even more. If you didn't like the first, there's still a good chance you'll like this one - one of my friends hated the first, but loved this one. Probably because there's far more violence, swearing, and boobs in this one.

If you haven't seen the first, though, I'd recommend checking that out first. It references the first one a lot through flashbacks, but it makes a lot more sense if you've seen it. And, no, it's not so you understand the plot better (because, really, who cares?), it's so you understand the jokes better.

It's a shame that so many people are incapable of understand that this is not supposed to be a serious action movie. When we say "it's supposed to be shit", we don't actually mean it's supposed to be the same generic action movie garbage that gets churned out multiple times a year. It's a mockery of of those movies. A spoof. A critique of the average, retarded American action movie, and it's done brilliantly.
