Pretty freakin cool 3rd party accessory fron Nyko called "Gameface".
http://www.nyko.com/nyko/products/?i=69

Taken rom Joystiq:
"Accessory manufacturer Nyko has announced their new Xbox 360 faceplate kit, the GameFace 360. If you're feeling inspired after a few rounds of the colorful Kameo, or you just can't get those Geometry Wars patterns out of your head, the GameFace could be for you. You can buy the kit at most gaming stores, and then download Nyko's PC/Mac compatible software to design and print your own personalized faceplates. The kit comes with 15 blank templates, 6 pre-printed skins, and a clear plastic plate that snaps on over your pimped out creations."

think of the pornish and xxx rated possibilites.....:)

I have a great idea for a faceplate to fool all those greasy fingered friends who are always eager to play your damn video games and conversely shaq-fu the controllers ...

the pelican one, do you get 2 custom faceplates for $35?
I believe its actually one. You actually purchase the empty case that can hold 2 in stores and it comes with a code that you scratch off and use at their website where you create your faceplate, and then they mail it to you. $35 includes shipping I believe.

Any word on how that pelican one looks or that one Scorch linked to? I'd be willing to pay about $30 for a high quality (build and image quality) custom faceplate of my own design.
I was going to buy this when I got my intercooler. Pass up on it as I wanted to hear some feedback from people who bought it.
speaking of the intercooler, how is that working for you?
tempted to buy it even though i have 0 problems with my 360.
(now i must find wood to knock on)

Havent seen them. He'res the website that allows you to create them:

http://www.pdp-usa.com/face.html

From playing with it, it doesnt have any option (that I could see) to upload a pic.

It's working great. It does make the 360 louder because of the 3 fans it's also not going to make the 360 super cool. It only drops the temp a few notches down but every little counts to me. I have had it since it came out and am very happy with my purchase.

Yeah, thanks for posting that site....$35 seems a bit high since they are not THAT great and just the same pictures.....now, if you could UPLOAD, different story

Seems like the crew over at Penny-Arcade are testing it out right now and will be posting their results when they can.

Considering the overall quality of Nyko's 3rd party products, even as far back as the Game Boy era (some magnificent hard-shell cases...wow), I think that it will probably be worth it, just for the customibility factor. Let's just wait and see, though...I'm keeping my fingers crossed for great quality.

Saw this the other day, but wanted to hear some feedback on it before I got it.

The only problem is my printer isn't amazing, so I'd be afraid my faceplates would look like crap

you could print yourself some pretty hot dot matrix faceplates.
again I'll say this is easily worth the buy. My printer is crap, but the face plates still look good
PICS! Please...

Wow that is actually pretty cool...and it's only 20.00? I think I may pick this up.

How many blank pieces do you get? And how would you go about getting more?

Hmmm what designs would I make...

you get 6 premade ones, and 15 blank ones. Right now the only way to get more blank ones is to buy another kit.

Or keep one blank one as a template and use a piece of tagboard to trace on and make duplicates.
:applause: great idea!
I suppose you would have to make sure your printer could handle tagboard though.
very nice
agreed. thats hot.

you know what is sad....ive yet to read or try and figure out how to remove the face plate.

You grab it and pull it off.

that might work, but just informing you, on the clear faceplate that goes over, it has two pegs on the end, that you slip the printout over. But the blank papers have punchouts on them, so when you print a faceplate out, it prints stuff on the parts you punch out. And yes I know that's a bad explanation, you'll see what Im talking about if you get the kit.

I think I kind of get what your talking about but couldn't you just cut out those sections with an Xacto knife? Just make sure you use a dark marker when you trace the template so you can see it through the printing.
so, what do people think of my Perfect Dark faceplate?
Very cool. But you still cant upload pics?

And i'm still not too keen on not being able to change the power button and cd tray.

And thx for the PM.

you download the program to your computer, and design it with that. Yes, as far as I know you HAVE to add your own pics, and you SHOULD to use the program to print it out. It's the Pelican one where you cant use your own pics.

Link to program: http://www.nyko.com/nyko/products/?i=69

you can download and get designing faceplates without buying it yet

Link above is a thread that contains a review, photos, templets, a photoshop templet, etc.

The photoshop templet I take it, isn't exact, but it's attached to the last post on the first page of the thread.
thats a picture taken from the thread you posted...

just wanted to point out that whoever took that picture is a complete idiot. I have both a 360, and the same cable box, and they both get hot as hell. putting one on top of another is an awful idea lol.

I think i might pick up the blank faceplate from work this week too

ok, i just bought the pelican make your own faceplate thing (70% off at best buy clearance...so 9.53 after tax)

went to the website and can't upload pics for the faceplate :(

i guess they gave up on it...i guess i'll return it
