It also has a TIV of $11.00 without the bonus at Bestbuy. So 60% would be around $17.60 altogether.
 
I have a $5 RZ certificate waiting in my account AND I have more than enough points between the ones on my account and pending ones for yet another $5 certificate.

Now do I wait and see if those pending points all post and just print up one $10 certificate or waste the $5 certificate now and hope the other one posts sooner than later? ;)

Actually if I wait, I'll probably just use both and my remaining $50-60 in credit to pre-order GTA V from their website and pay it off in full.

Hopefully since I'm still a GCU member I'll get any promo gift cards or other offers that may pop up later on.

Every time I've done it the cashier says it won't work... Every time they say "I'll try it anyway"... Every time it's worked haha.

So yeah it'll work, even if they say it won't. Just ask them politely to please try it anyway.

If your denied with the "double dipping" BS contact the store manager or regional manager using their contact info found in-store, call the CS line & have them explain it to them or goto the BB forums page. They'll usually reward you for the trouble.

I know exactly how you feel. I live in a small town and there's only one bestbuy so I usually get in on the good deals. Whenever I ask to see a manager or have them do a pm because something didn't go right they almost always have a horrible attitude especially when they have to pm. it's very unwelcoming.

Got one final score from the April mag. Local BBY had a store clearance of Other M for $25. I asked the gaming rep if I could use the $30 off coupon. Of course he said no to which I stated that the coupon specifically stated that it is taken from sales prices and had no indication that it wouldn't work on clearance games. He read the fine print what looked like 5 times and said "Hmmm... You're right". He grabs a manager and the second the manager walks up he says "He explained it to me and the coupons are ONLY taken off regular prices and don't work on sale items".

Politely, I said that changed a long time ago and they now stack with sale prices. He said that HE knows the policy as its HIS store and they were incorrectly stacking previously and that they have since fixed it.

I chuckled inside a little and just asked if he would read the terms on the back side of the coupon. He flipped it over and then said it didn't matter as they couldn't give me the game free. To clarify I asked that the coupon is valid and the price of the game is valid, you are just denying me using it correct?

He replied that both were valid, but he literally couldn't do what I was asking as the system wouldn't allow it. I asked if I could compromise and buy the game for $25 and he could give me a $30 GC.

He then said backtracked and boldly stated he wouldn't honor the coupon.

So off to corporate I go... They originally said the system wouldn't allow it. I clarified that they were CHOOSING not to honor the coupon making sure both were valid (price and coupon). She agreed and sent me to customer relations. CR said I could buy the game next week as it wasn't on sale then (do they really think I'm that stupid, as instead of a free game it would be $20 also I stated the coupon ends this week... she had a duh moment I guess).

She said that I could purchase it outright for $50 next week and they would send me a $60 giftcard to cover gas and the game. I said that was doable. 5 minutes later the original RZ Silver Rep calls me and says she spoke with the manager and I could go back if I wanted. They agreed to mark the game out for a penny and she could send me a $15 GC to make up for the $5 difference and gas. Sweet. So I said that I talked to the CR rep and she alread sent out a $60 GC. RZ rep said she couldnt cancel it and already set up the $15 GC before calling me. She said to just consider it an apology and thanking me for being a loyal RZ silver member...

RZ silver does have its perks in CS relations

Man, wish I could have that sort of experience. The manager sounded like an idiot though. I might have just tried to take the game and coupon up to the register and see if they would scan it.

Maybe one of these years if we get a 3D tv, we might qualify for silver.
 
I find the managers at Best Buys sometimes are the biggest asshole because they just like bossing people around for no reason. They're just that type of douche. So they always start with the presumption that you are wrong even when you are right.

The original gaming rep tried scanning the game and the coupon. It wouldn't allow it. Also tried adding $6 to it in case it was like grocery stores where you couldn't have a negative balance, but as long as you owed them money the coupon could give you money back on that one item. (wife got half into extreme couponing)

The coupon probably didn't work because you're supposed to buy Metroid Other M AND Sin and Punishment 2 for the $30 to come off.

Actually it was clarified on the BB forums that it was either or and you did NOT have to buy both to use the coupon.

Didn't realize Homefront had an online pass. You'd think when a game does as bad as it did they would just make the online pass free since the only way anyone would buy this game was if it was used for a super low price.

Used does NOTHING for the publisher, so the only way for them to make money off the super cheap used sales is to ding people for the pass.

They did do a smart thing though because I think you can play up to level 5 online then need a pass to go higher.

I was glad I even managed to get the PM. Used trade-in credit from a Target clearance game during their mobile coupon week and got it for free (excluding gas I suppose).

I'll have to try that next time, though I could only imagine 3 specific BBY reps in the area being willing to even try. Wish I could find a decent copy of Darkness 1, anything I've ever found at Gamestop has been completely destroyed.
 
I'm debating if I am going to use my resistance $20 off or $10 off 29.99+ used coupons. I would like to just buy something and trade it back in to make some credit, but I don't see many options.

Just rolling off that on this new page; i wonder what they do with the statistics of the coupons. Say 'this coupon was used by 80% of subscribers and 70% of single issues sold while this coupon was used by 10% of subscribers and 5% single issues sold. I would think they look at that stuff when inventing the month's ahead set of offers.

So while it stinks we didn't use the darkness or yakuza coupon, i would hope it helps us in the long run of what to offer in coupons and what weekly sales they put out to help savvy shoppers.

Just my two cents. This program is still new on my eyes and quoting iatcg will guaranty me at least one reply :)

I have the credit card and use it as much as I can, but I try to buy a lot at Target using their credit card, since you get 5% off instantly before tax.

Look at the Max Payne deal people will end up with no worse than $40 & $20 credit on day 1 & the ability to trade it in for $30 since they'll have it on day 1. Doing this 3 times gets you $60 credit & at least $60 cash back vs the $9 savings(tax not included since state tax varies so much).
