I'm not sure when they actually dropped, and I don't know if it's been posted yet (damn search function is not working currently), but I saw these when I was in Game Crazy today. These are for new copies.

Contact is well worth $20 in my opinion so if you have a Game Crazy nearby, pick it up!

YMMV - This was in the Salisbury, MD location.

UPDATE: Items don't appear to be on sale at any other locations. If you're in the Salisbury, MD location you may be able to pick up the titles for this price if the store honors the $19.99 advertised price on the wall.

This thread can be locked or moved to the East regional forum, whichever you prefer.

they haven't changed the price at my store yet, but i noticed that Contact was already going down in price. is it worth the $18 used?

I know touch detective is definitely worth the money.

Did you actually SCAN the games or have them scanned? Or were you going by the price on the wall? Because the prices on the wall are often wrong (I've personally seen three stores have Contact at $19.99 and $29.99 tagged but it's usually some employee putting them in the wrong spot).

I'm almost positive it has to be an employee error and the games aren't $19.99. I worked yesterday and they were full price and they didn't change in price today (that I know of)..

I didn't have them scanned but I was talking to the manager and he pointed at the wall and mentioned thay were $19.99. I told him I already had Contact and was holding off on Touch Detective for the time being. I'll mention this is YMMV in the OP since I won't be able to go back to that store for some time to verify.
Please be fucking universal on Contact.
I already checked Gamestop, if it is universal, they haven't updated the price yet.

Contact is so fucking overrated it isn't funny. I would maybe pick it up at $10, but not at $20. I got it at $30 and I was so disappointed in it.

well if you use gamer's gift card at best buy contact is only $24.99, which I gladly paid on day one. My only complain about Contact is its length, since i beat it in about 12 hours.

Yeah, Contact is a pretty average game. It got way too much hype because a small component of the art style somewhat resembled earthbound.

Touch Detective is quirky fun. The puzzles can be super frustrating at times, as not everything follows logic. But the art style and dialogue are pretty captivating. Also, it's not a common title to find, in my experience.

QFT. That's what got me really interested in the game. Turns out only like one screen is like that. And the rest of the game blows. What a rip.

It is NOT YMMV. The games are NOT on sale. They were on the wrong place on the shelf. Prices are NEVER YMMV. Prices are downloaded by the computers automatically every morning. The store cannot open unless the computers are up, and the prices are updated when the PC is turned on. What you saw was nothing more than the games on the wrong spot on the shelf. Contact is 34.99, Touch Detective is 29.99. If you would have had them scanned, they scan at full price. Please lock this post.

That's not true, but thanks for clearing up the confusion, if that's the case.

Sorry, but it is true. Game prices are never YMMV. Trade-in values are. Used and new prices between store to store never vary. You may get an instance where there will be a game like Vegas on the wall for 59.99, the employee will say 59.99, but because that employee only works weekdays and missed the memo and someone didn't do their job over the weekend and kept it at 59.99, will be shocked when it scans for 39.99. (I'm referring to the Vegas 39.99 sale over Christmas break)

I've edited the original post. Does Game Crazy honor the advertised price on the wall? If so (and I don't see why not since it is a price tag), people may still be able to get it for that price at that specific location.
