GBM Get!

I love the screen - it's smaller, but it's so bright compared to my frontlit SP. I plan on carrying my GBM with me everywhere.

"Now to buy more GBA games..."

Just got my Micro delivered. It looks really cool. I feel really bad for my mailman. He just delivered the Micro and a game (both in seperate boxes) and yesterday delivered 2 other boxes of Amazon games (one box had 2 games, one box had 1 game). For some reason Amazon really likes to split up these game orders. That wouldn't be so bad but more is coming (I think UPS though) since for some reason they even split up the shipment of the GBA Micro and Metroid NES Classic game I ordered together.

They probably ship from multiple warehouses.

:whistle2:k Is everyone here talking about the same thing?

how are you holding the thing? I find I have to hold my DS with some space so it's resting on my fingers or else my hand cramps if I clutch it like a controller.

Got mine yesterday - I love it. I was thinking of selling it on eBay but now that I've played it - no way. The screen is awesome and it is unnoticable when I bring it into the shitter.

Anyone know of any good cases for it? I'm thinking of something along the lines of the thing the PSP came with. I don't want to scratch the screen...

The closest thing i found to the psp case is the GBM socks which look goofy compared to the slick micro. I just use the pouch the system came with, except I trimmed it down to fit the micro snuggly.

iPod socks look better, but overpriced.

I just use the pouch as well... but the screen is actually attached to the faceplate, so unless you get a really deep scratch, all you should need to do is replace the faceplate...

you guys should check out BB, they had the Pelican GBM starter kit for 4.99 there a couple months back (it has a case, screen protector, screen wipe, earphones). they also had the pelican GBM gel skin which protects the GBM well from drops for 2.99... but those might be long gone...

on a side note, i picked up the famicom one and was wondering if anyone has tried to use the $10 coupon in-store and what stores accept it...

Apparently, it is difficult to use the coupon because it is worded badly and the cashier/manager interprets it as saying that you need to purchase the Micro with the game to get the $10 off even though that is not the case.

I purchased my Famicom Micro before Christmas, but just got around to using the coupon yesterday. I had to travel to a few EB's to find a copy of Wario Ware Twisted. It seems that as soon as the price dropped, all of the stores near me got rid of the game.

Anywho, the cashier had to call another manager to inquire about the coupon, since scanning it did nothing. Since it was a company coupon, they were able to just give me the $10 discount and mark the coupon to be mailed out by the store. Took a few minutes, but the cashier wasn't busy.

Wario Ware Twisted for $10 would have made any hassle worth it, but it wasn't too complicated.

I stopped at my local TRU to see if this was the same deal instore. When I got the cashier to price check it, it rang up as $99.99, but it had "PROMO" next to it. Since the cashier was being incredibly crabby, I decided not to press the issue and declined to purchase it, though in hindsight, I should've asked about it.

Any word on if this deal is instore as well or not?

Thanks for the heads up! Saw a bunch of these at a BB near me and picked one up.

Damnit i missed this sweet deal! $50 for a micro and a RC Car, you just cant beat that... might try and get the silver for $75 but it just dosnt have the same oomf to it.

Your GBA is tainted... reasons to not buy used hand held systems.

Same thing happened to me.
I asked the cashier about the "PROMO" & it nothing big, just a drop to $89.99.

Hey, mine finally shipped today! Didn't expect that at all, after being delayed. I guess I was just a bit jumpy after the RE4 thing. Says it shipped through "Airborne Home" - never heard of that.

I purchased 5 new gba games (on the cheap) just to complement my micro. It's suprising how much more interested I got in gba games just becuase of this system, having already owned a gba, sp, and ds. o_O

The silver back one I want is still $75, I wish this thing would drop or at least be able to pricematch it somewhere in-store like TRU since its through them on the website.
I know that the silver, black, and famicom faceplate can be purchased on nintendo's website, but what about the other faceplates packaged with the micro such as the blue swirl and the camoflage one depending on which one you purchase?

The online store had them at launch, but now of course they don't. I could be wrong, but I believe the Nintendo World Store in NYC still carries the other face plates. I don't think you can buy them anywhere else though, so you might have to trade.
