As far as I know, you don't get taxed unless the store you're ordering from is also in the state in which you live.

Yup. It's called nexus. Except Seattle isn't so much a state as it is a city. They also have distribution centers in some other states, but I don't really know where.
 
Picking up King of the Hill and 24 (my original copy got fucked up by people borrowing them...). Now I'm pissed off that I bought Futurama this summer for double the price. And Simpsons when it came out... GRRRR... Oh well

I just ordered them, as I couldn't refuse the free shipping and two boxsets which I really wanted for about 30 dollars.

Why are these boxsets 15 dollars anyway? It confuses me... Though, thinking it over, maybe Fox is lowering the price of season 1 sets in attempts to get people to buy the other sets at full price? Sounds like a good business plan to me.

I just wish Dark Angel was 15, too, but, it's not. :(
 
Rats, Millenium has been jacked up to $50. In Living Color is up to $30 now too. Ah well, managed to get 24 and Futurama. Kinda weird that they'd still list them as 75% off when they pretty much returned the prices for those to normal.

i had ordered a copy at first, but i ended up canceling it and replacing it with king of the hill
(my girlfriend wanted it instead of mill.)

I got 24 for $16.47 shiped, thanks to some amazon quiz points I've earned. Great deal & now I have my sisters xmas present.
 
I am really surprised that most of these are still available for purchase. I figured it would have been dead within 2 hours of posting.
 
That's what I thought. I saw the deal early in the day, but passed. I went back and saw that it was still live just a couple of hours ago, and decided to order 24. Who knows when I'll get it...

This deal was even on tonight's The Screen Savers.

Wow, 24 hours later and most of the DVD sets are still in stock! Picked up 24 and Buffy TVS. Missed out on Millennium @ $15 though...I really wanted that set. Millennium was a great show, yet some of the episodes in that first season are disturbing and hard to watch.

BTW, if anyone wants to sell their Millennium set, just send me a PM.

xfiles really should be a part of the deal. i hope some other shows go to 15 or less as well. i got futurama, simpsons, and 24, if i knew millenium was any good, i would have snagged it but i never heard of it.
 
It is smart marketing, sell the first season of a series for cheap then hopefully hook the people on it and get them to fork out big cash for the other seasons. I am bummed that i missed out on Millennium though as I would have liked to have gotten that as well.

X-Files wouldn't ever be 15 new, because of high values to pay celebrities and other people, I think Chris Carter mentioned that before when talking of the very high prices of The X-Files boxsets, up until about a year ago they were 150 bucks each! :shock:

Now they're 100 dollars, but they SHOULD be around 60-70, but they aren't and probably will never be.
 
You people really should've been using Share The Love at Amazon. Would've saved 10% on all the box-sets....making them around $13.50

Agree, me and a co-worker did this and got 24 for $13.50. Anyway this deal is awesome, especially on the 6 disc set because it puts these sets at over 50% off. Anyway, thanks for posting this I got 24 and Angel, these are two DVD sets I've been meaning to get and almost bought them full price when they came out. Now I got both for a total cost cheaper than one regularly priced!
 
I picked up that Futurama set in Toronto a couple of months ago for $20 Canadian. $15 US is a great deal, its a nice set, Id highly recommend it.
 
Angel is one of the best TV shows I've ever seen. Season 1 is pretty good, but not nearly as good as the later seasons.

Its definitely worth $15.

Angel is pretty good. Did you like Buffy? If not, then I'd say you wouldn't want it. If so, then you should give it a chance. If you aren't sure you want the box set, just watch it on TNT.
 
Let me put it this way... "Millennium Season One" is well worth $50 even. Trust me, I snapped it up the day it came out with no regrets. $15 was a steal for it, anyone who got it for $15 you really got a steal of a deal. :)

Just to warn people who are not familiar with the show... it can be disturbing to watch at times with some of the content matter. However it is a powerful show, and its well worth watching.

Janurary 4th can't come soon enough for me, as that's when Season 2 (the best season) comes to DVD... in Widescreen for that matter. :D

Roswell from what I remember was a decent show. Kinda more like a drama than action/suspense. It had a huge cult following that managed to stave off its cancellation for two seasons if that's worth anything (I actually think that's in the Amazon description). But it's about a buncha teens and I think one of them is an alien and they're trying to hide him from the authorities.

EDIT: I order Millenium from them Oct 11, it shipped the next day and I received my order on Thursday, this is with free supersaver shipping too. !!!!!

Same for my and my 24. One of my friends ordered roswell and recieved them on Friday.
