I got game when it was in stock a few days before the CC deal broke. It's fun, but be ready for a hard game. And the xbox ver does have "tearing", I had hopes the tearing would only be at certain parts of the game but it seems to happen at every level at some point. However I would rather have a bit of tearing then a ton of slow down.
 
Doh!... just traded for this game.

Anyone have experience with how backorders work at Bestbuy.com? Do they usually ship them out eventually or end up cancelling the orders?
 
it depends. this one might be fulfilled because they usually cancel their orders. but this one came back in stock so I have good hopes :eek:

anyway, i ordered a copy. i was hoping for the GC version, since i'm already used to it, playing multiplayer with my cousins.
 
I bought this awhile back new for $20 and it is worth full price so Im happy. If I can get it in store for $4.99 I may buy another copy for a friend or to return to Wal-Mart and make a $15 profit.
 
Wow, I'm glad I'm not the only one who ordered back on 7/2 and never recieved the game. I guess I'll give BB a call tommorow just to see what they have to say about the situation.
 
Yeah, I'm in the same boat, says it shipped on 7/3 but still hasn't arrived... Though, if they shipped media mail it wouldn't be unheard of to take forever.
 
I'm amazed it was still available for order nearly 12 hours after it was first posted. Either BB got ahold of a warehouse full of the thing, or their gonna be cancelling an arseload of backorders. Hopefully the former :)
 
For $5, they can take as long as they want to get my copy shipped out. Well, it would be nice to have it in less than two months, but I won't be peeved if it takes a little while to get out to me. Anyway, thanks for the heads up, and let us hope that all of our copies are shipped out eventually!

if it's still listed and people are still ordering, I'd say there is about a 0% chance of this game ever being shipped to those on backorder.
 
Not only can I not order, but I also can't bring up the page. In fact, I can't bring up *any* bestbuy.com page. They're all completely blank.

Maybe they should change their domain name to nobuy.com.

Must be a browser thing. Opera shows the page just fine. IE shows nothing, of course.

Anyways, when I ordered it the last time when they had it up for $5, it said backordered but still shipped out less then a week later. So I assume this will be the same situation.
 
Well, i'll give it a try...they don't charge your card till they ship it anyways, and for $5.29 total, not a bad deal.....

If I don't like it....well, I can always trade it ;)
 
placed an order on 6/5 and never received it...had to fill call BB customer service approximately 45 days later to get a refund....

Seems like I am in the boat with many of the people here. I ordered at the end of June, was told it shipped July 3, and it still hasn't come. Spoke to BB customer service and they told me that if it doesn't come in another week, then they will refund or reship next day air for free. Since they don't have any copies, my guess is $5 refund is coming my way in a week.

if you ordered when it said it was backordered. don't hold your breath. they have never complted a order from me on backorder. they will just cancel your order in about two weeks

If anyone lives in the Paramus, New Jersey area they have Metal Arms instock for Gamecube and XBOX at the Garden State Plaza Best Buy. I recommend you order it online and use the store pickup option. I just picked up the XBOX Metal Arms at that store for $4.99.

Forgot to add that if you go there you should ask the employee to check the stock room for it. That is if you don't use the store pickup option from the online site.

BTW I have had Best Buy complete a backorder for me before.

Last fall I placed an order for Megaman and Bass (GBA) that was on backorder. It took about two months, but I got my game.

So if you're not in a rush to play it (and how could you if you've been to CC lately), then no loss in waiting it out.

I ordered 6 orders of 18 copies (3 copies per order which was the max)the latest 4 orders were cancelled and my first 2 were not. so Im hopeful they will be filled. if anyone wants one ill do 10 shipped
