Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn I bought this for $50 earlier this year, that is just a crazy price.
That's the megaset btw.. the entire Python run plus movies and extras

insanely cheap price

i love store.aetv.com
No movies on this set. Just the show.

Yes and no. It doesn't include the movies, but it includes more than just the show (the last 2 discs).

Really, the last two discs aren't incredibly important. The live performance on the first of the two bonus discs is entertaining but not the kind of thing you'll be watching over and over, and the best of included on the second extra disc is just redundant. I did like the German episode, though, especially since they actually recorded new sketches (and redid a few old ones) for it. :)

I paid $50 for the predecessor to this set on Amazon last summer (and an extra $10 for the live discs when I found them used), and it was worth every penny. If you're on the fence, go for it - sixteen discs of the best British comedy produced is more than worth your $35. :D

I payed $50 for this and thought that was a amazing deal. Really sick thing to have. DUmping them at this price means they're putting out the entire thing on one blueray disc soon...

I want to get this, but aetv.com for some reason whenever I checkout it just gives me a blank white page, it's done this when i tried to order the kids in the hall set as well back a few months ago.

wow I got it for a gift several years ago now and I know it was a LOT more, killer deal and something I'd dive on if I didnt have it

damn, I was stoked to pay less than 100 for this.. =)

I almost want to buy it again, to replace my previous set and take up less shelf room.
They just raised the price.... those bastards.
Ah well....I didn't need it anyway, but I probably would have bit at $35. Guess they saved me some money. ;)

I'm actually talking on the phone with a guy, he's trying to figure out what to do, he's freaking out because of the price change its hilarious. I just said "the site im looking looking at says 34.98..".

He just said that it was an error and that it was just fixed.

So maybe you guys can have some luck.

It is backordered till june.

bonus discs contain Hollywood Bowl

i wasn't implying that grail or l.o.b. were on this

sorry if that was confusing

op should add *dead* to the title now

Well, in a twisted sense this is a good thing for me, as I'm picking up Homicide and Band of Brothers in a week. The wallet takes one less hit!

In for one. Thanks a lot gweenpea I've been holding off on this set for a long time. I almost bought it for $50 a few weeks ago but held off on it.

In for one, thanks OP! With all the wishwashing of the price, I told myself if it was back to $35 I'd go for it...

For anyone who has this already, does it have English subtitles? I found one website that claims it does. The biggest reason I don't already have this yet is due to the fact that I have a very hard time understanding their thick accents. (I couldn't even understand much of what was being said in Chicken Run.)
What coupon? Al I get is directed to their Sopranos "sale", which is basically $5.00 off retail.
It applies to your cart. Did you even try?

I was on the fence yesterday when I saw this because I feel like I've seen the same deal before and on the website it says it's good all week. Then I saw the thing on the shelf in bestbuy last night and decided I can't pass it up, and now 10% more off to boot.

I bit. Not a huge fan of Flying Circus - I find it very uneven. Some of the skits are great, while others aren't even remotely funny. Gotta admit, though, even the bad sketches show a lot of creativity and originality. It was a great show for its time, and though it has been surpassed by many of the efforts it inspired - including Python's own Holy Grail and Cleeses' follow up show, Fawlty Towers, there hasn't really been anything like it since, for better or worse.

I decided to pick it up as well, thanks for the 10% coupon. This is definately the cheapest I have ever seen this set go for. I told myself last night I wouldn't spend any more $$ till payday and then I log on here and see this... LOL

with that cupon i couldnt pass it up..32.41 shipped

damn

[edit] Something i noticed was the msrp dropped from $99.95 to $69.95 I think this may be one of the few cases where an online store has rolled with a price mistake and has turned it into a legit deal. AE has earned a loyal customer
In for one with the 10% coupon. Thanks gweenpea for the deal and starman foe the coupon.
Ditto.

I tried to resist, but $32.48 for the complete Monty Python was just too great a deal to pass up.

Just a thanks to the OP. I got in with the 10% off. I've been wanting this since it was in the mid $100 price range. Couldn't resist for 32.48 AC.

Thanks Again

Heh was watching this show on PBS the other night. They advertised this DVD set after the show....for $200! $35 is a great deal in comparison :)
