(DEAD, pretty much)Cheap Ass N64 Games at Wherehouse.com

They did arrive today after all:
Forsaken 64 - Plastic Case w/ instructions
Perfect Dark - Slightly crushed box, complete
Pokémon Snap - A little damaged box, complete
Star Wars: Episode I: Racer - nice conditon, complete
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire - near mint
Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire - near mint

And mine did come in a FedEx box, so the minor damage to a couple were already like that before shipping.

all of mine are in now.. perfect dark says it needs the N64 expansion for 100% play.. hmm, guess I need to see what that is all about..

You need the 4mb expansion ram in order to open up the single player levels, I believe.

Wow, its like everyone forgot that the N64 sucked mad ass.....oh well....enjoy those retarded, overly pixlated, buggy games...

Well Super Mario 64 was good.....at least.

Thanks for the input mooky

I believe mine were almost delivered yesterday. Had a door tag from FedEx, signed it so that the package will hopefully be waiting for me today.

and to think I thought I was having fun.. go figure

i think those titles are the same ones being cancelled over and over again.

I agree. I think the same items are just being added over and over again from cancelled orders, are then canceled again, and the cycle continues.
I'm the one who bought most of them, so I hope not! I'll post again when my order is updated on the site.

And the fanboys strike again! I'm afraid you're in the extreme minority with your comment there. Sounds like you're miffed that you paid the outrageous PS launch price and wished you had waited for the 64, but mommy wouldn't buy you another system. Too bad...

Uh huh, and what were the other alternatives for graphics at the time? The PSX? Yeah right! N64 kicked its ASS with multiplayer and was the better system, and the N64 is one of the best systems today, nice to see that someone crapped on a great thread with some great, cheap N64 games.

Like I said, fanboy. I just feel bad for him and his upside-down PS1...

I don't understand... Most of my boxes are in nice shape, but a couple are a little smashed. But the strange thing is, then I open them up and the instruction manuals are crisp, as if right off the press, all the warning and NP subscription inserts are there, the plastic baggy for the carts are there, and the most mindboggling of all - the carts have never been touched. The plastic is all shiny new, the stickers are mint, there are no slight abrasions from it being put in and out of the system, the connector looks brand new, and even if you hold it at an angle so that the light glares on the sticker there are no fingerprints nor scratches nor anything of the kind on the sticker. I swear that these games I got have never been touched by human hands!

Sorry Reality's Fringe. If it helps (which I know it doesn't), I never got in on Paper Mario, Mario Party3 nor Kirby in the first place. (In fact, I thought getting 25% off of Paper Mario from ebgames was a good deal and paid $22.50 for it a few months ago since I never had the chance to play it before. That was cart only. Nor have I ever had the chance to play the other two.)

Good call, my Paper Mario/Mario Party 3 order was cancelled yesterday. :?

Could this be a conspiracy to slowly sell off all the WCW and Perfect Dark?

Hey, that's an idea! Who got their complete order shipped who didn't also order a Sport/Wrestling title and/or PD? My order with PD came, complete. But then I ordered Pokemon Stadium 2 later that day, alone, and it was cancelled within minutes (then reappeared on the website).

My complete order shipped, the list is on the other page somewhere, only sport titles I had were the Tennis games for DC.

I never bought a N64 game new, but is that how they usually come, with the carts inside a plastic bag? Maybe some of us are getting brand new games with damaged boxes just being listed a used.

The thing I hate about Nintendo is their damn boxes... Why couldn't they use something like Genesis boxes? At least now they don't have a choice in the matter.

It was Nintendo being cheap as usual, just like how they stopped packing SNES games with dust covers and when Gameboy Color came out, the Gameboy Games stopped coming with those plastic cases. But Nintendo of course decided to sell those Gameboy Cases seperate and also sell plastic N64 cases similar to Genesis cases.

I got some high and low quality out of this great deal: my Grandia II is in great shape, but Sonic Adventure and my old dreamcast can't seem to get along. Something tells me a 2 dollar game isnt quite worth returning, and a 2 dollar game isnt quite worth buying a disk doctor for....

Yeah, definitely. Rigid boxes like the Sega Genesis ones should be required for all cart-based games (CD and DVD-based games are already in sturdy cases). It would be nice to have the GBA games in sturdy cases, but I'm sure that won't change. Here's hoping the DS games won't be housed in cardboard.

Out of all the games I ordered, I found that Sonic Adventure is the only one I can't get to work.

But I can return the game for no fee on the FedEx box that all my games were sent in. I'm just hoping they have a spare Sonic Adventure lying around (which they probably don't).

BTW, the disc is super-clean and there are no visible scratches unless you squint and hold it directly under a bright light...Anyone know what the problem could be?

The three I got were in pretty good shape. Two with boxes, one in a plastic case. All with instructions and all carts in great shape. But they shipped it in a bubble mailer so the two boxes were crushed in transit. Kind of pissed me off that they didn't use a box for shipping N64 games in cardboard boxes. One of the boxes looks like it must have been biffed up before they sent it, the other one looks like it was probably mint before shipping.

I'd much rather they just ship media mail, but use boxes so the games don't get crushed in transit. Oh well, I'm still satisfied over all.

Maybe Sonic is just cursed, mine is the same - looks decent except one small scratch, but the only thing i can play on it is the sound byte, so the dreamcast thinks its a music cd instead of a game.

Anyone get a working copy?
A lot of the first batch of Sonic Adventure for DC (and a couple other DC launch titles) didn't play. That's what you guys probably got.
Yeah some of the launch titles for the dreamcast (including sonic adventure) had sometype of problem, so a few of them are out there.

I'd look into sending it back or requesting a new one for anyone who got a bad one. Maybe even try pointing them to a web article on the subject of sega's little "flub".

7 titles cancelled, the rest shipped. Still waiting fer them.

Unreal Tournament Used Game $1.99 Cancelled
Metropolis Street Racer Used Game $1.99 Cancelled
Spec Ops II: Omega Squad Used Game $1.99 Cancelled
Seaman Used Game $1.99 Cancelled
TrickStyle Used Game $1.99 Cancelled
Shadow Man Used Game $1.99 Cancelled
Forsaken 64 Used Game $1.99 Cancelled

Unfortunately the only two N64 titles I ordered were cancelled. I was curious to see what shape they came in.

Yea..my Trickstyle didn't work on two different machines despite the CD surface being pristine.

Yeah, my Sonic Adventure didn't work, but I already have a copy so I dunno if I'll send it back or not. Pokemon Stadium 2 isn't working either, though. Damn. Oh, oh, and they sent me Mario Party 2 in the Mario Party box. Kinda strange.

I was just looking around on the site and saw MvC 2 for DC was in stock so I just added it to my cart and checkout out fully expecting it to be cancelled but I looked today and it shipped, so lucky me I guess.

I guess I'd better go test the rest of mine and stop playing Paper Mario all of the time :)

I just went and blew $50 for accessories for my $15 N64.. go figure..
