(DEAD) Sony Deepdiscount Blu Ray Bogo
gonna go ahead and bludgeon this dead horse but you're due in for a long wait

but it'll come eventually
That sucks :( But thanks for the heads up. It's been nearly two weeks and I just figured they'd forgotten about my order.

Seems like I probably won't be ordering anything else that's backordered from them.

Edit: It looks like they deleted my order although I received a confirmation and an order number. I emailed Customer Service. It really sucks that even though I had an order my email does not appear in their database.

that happened to me. they are all complete dipshits.

their system changed the email on my account to the paypal email i used to buy my stuff. try logging in with the email you used via paypal. i reset my pw and changed my email back when i finally got in.

PS i still have 2 orders open from their last BOGO sale in early september. i fucking hate these guys, but the prices are just too good. its like being addicted to crack.

Of my 2 orders:

1st order of 4 movies is "processing" (Zombieland, Casino Royale, District 9, and Walk Hard)

2nd order of the 2 Breaking Bad Seasons are "Backordered."

Someone jokingly said earlier that we might see our movies at the end of November. I'm thinking that might be the case.

I have an order from over 2 months ago that is still listed as "processing."

It is entirely possible that you won't see your movies until after Thanksgiving.
Seriously.

what kind of service is this? horrible just horrible

Deep Discount always had a few weeks wait on backorders, but nothing crazy like this. I'm still waiting for my mythical copy of Contact on Blu Ray to show up from my order that was around 2 months ago. I hate to see how long I'm going to wait for Breaking Bad to show up.

Odd, they used to be good back when their website only sold dvds. I wonder what happened that made everything plummet...

Sent in my second complaint, my order isn't even showing up on my "Order History" page on Deep Discount.

Unless my Breaking Bad discs ship this week, I'm canceling my order. This is getting ridiculous.

Canceled my order. It was over a month, and no notification as to when they'd even ship. Deep Discount used to be a great site, alas.

Would have been a great deal, oh well.

For the titles I ordered, I haven't seen them near that price before and it's not stuff that I have to have right now. I'll leave this order open, but I will never order from DDD again. Everything I ordered is back ordered, usually it's just one or two titles.

Well it's good to know I'm not the only one waiting in limbo for an order. I bought Casino Royale and Zombieland on 10/8/10 and while CR was shipped two days after the order was placed, I've got no idea when/if I'll ever get Zombieland. I ordered a book from them a few months ago that I had to cancel because it was on backorder and I never received any kind of ETA for it. I'm moving in a few weeks so if the order doesn't ship by then, I'm going to probably just cancel. I don't want something to get screwed up and my movie to ship to the wrong address.
Please go to reseller ratings and rate these guys.

They also have an A+ rating with Better Business Bureau Online, so it's time to file some claims.

I'm still waiting for an item from their Labor Day B1G1 and every time I ask them about it, they say "we don't know when it's coming in".

Hopefully the BBB complaint will get them of their collective asses and get me the movie I'm waiting on.

I've received everything I've ordered from them. But it should be noted that I don't order the bandwagon out of stock items. The longest I had to wait has been 3 weeks. Guess I'm lucky.

Just recieved a 60 day notice email ;

A few weeks ago, we told you your order would be shipped by now.
Unfortunately, the vendor has been unable to deliver the item(s).

We are hopeful that the item will be in stock within the next 21 days. We
will reserve your item on backorder and ship to you as soon as the product is
available. If you ordered with a credit card, you will not be charged until
the item ships.

If this does not meet with your approval, please contact us at
[email protected] to cancel.

Again, our apologies for the delay and any inconvenience you may have
experienced.

Best regards,
DeepDiscount.com Customer Service

:bomb:Seriously??? I will only wait since I won't be charged unless i get them!!!

I'm on the opposite side...I did jump on the bandwagon and ordered out of stock/backordered items. However, I know what that means. I'm not gonna file a complaint because I knew something was out of stock when I ordered it. I haven't been charged, I really have no one to blame but myself.

Of course, I work customer service, so...

I received my 60 day backorder notice email as well, though saying that a company of the size of DD can't get copies of movies that have been out for a year or more is completely ridiculous. DD used to be a small company, though they're big enough to get enough copies to fill backorders.

I tossed off a BBB complaint because their A+ rating is a real smack to that process about being a solid Internet retailer.

At these prices, I'm willing to wait longer for my BDs. It's not like a better deal's going to come along anytime soon, and DD doesn't charge until they ship anyway.

lol I think you get the situation. Some of those deals were hard to pass up but I just didn't want to be hanging on a thread wondering when my order will ship out. So I passed.

I don't think it has to do with company size. I think it has to do with them getting their stock in at a price that they can make a profit. As we all know these prices were great, so for DD to be able to make a profit they have to find a source that is willing to sell to them real cheap.

1. Sometimes a business has to take a loss to maintain (for the sake of) customer service. Every company has to do it at sometime or another.

2. Don't run a promotion you can't fulfill.

3. I have one order, partially unfulfilled, that goes back to mid-August. They have had more than an adequate amount of time to fulfill that order- regardless . . . no fucking exceptions. Those A-holes even listed the :br: as in-stock until I pointed that out in an email.

4. Deep Discount is not a tiny Mom & Pop company/ shadetree company. It is part of Infinity Resources, Inc. which also is:

Or don't order a title that is on backorder/out of stock.

I'm waiting on an order still from 9/3. I'd cancel it but the price (22.72 for both Glory and Ajami) is too good to pass up). Though in reality I don't think either of these will ever ship.

I still say no, as it is up to the company to do what they want.

Then in your case I agree that they are in the wrong.

It looks like DD charged me $10.XX for my Zombieland order but nothing has shipped. Do they just put holds on your account every so often or is it possible my Blu Ray might finally ship?

That's the case with the four titles I ordered. When I checked out they all said "in stock" and only showed up as "back ordered" afterward. I'm considering going ahead and canceling the order.

I know I'm a HUGE film snob but the only BD on that list I saw that was worth owning was The Ray Harryhausen collection. Nothing to BoGo with a $40 set, though. :whistle2:/

You know that is what I ordered. That and Ghosts of Mars. Total came out to about $33 for both. Got them both after about 2 weeks.

Heads up to anybody who is still waiting for their blu-rays, I sent a complaint to deepdiscount Monday asking where my disks are and how ridiculous I was not informed they were back ordered until after I paid for them with express shipping and was charged. Their response was there was nothing they could do the items were back ordered and they had no clue when they would ship.

Surprisingly in the mail today I received 3 of my 4 discs even though the site still says back ordered and I wasn't even emailed about them shipping. So moral of the story if you complain you may get your discs faster.

I got one of those emails as well for 3 volumes of The Walking Dead graphic novels. The price is still cheaper then Amazon so I'm waiting the 21 days to see what happens. Right now it's day 14.

I guess I'm sorta happy I emailed to cancel but they told me I couldn't because it's being prepared for shipping. So it seems I may finally get breaking bad season 1 & 2.

Oh, boy, I hope I'm getting the stuff I ordered forever ago too. Goddamn Damages showed up immediately, of course.

I got tired of waiting for my backordered stuff and canceled them... but one of the canceled titles showed up today. And as far as I can tell, they didn't charge me for it. What should I do?

Also, what the hell is with the bubble mailer they use which is like two pads they just suction together around the item?

It looks like they gave me an "outlet store" stock of the movie too. The shrinkwrap was torn, there was no security sticker (though what shrinkwrap was there was securely fastened) and there's some minor damage on the front of the case like someone cutting open the box of inventory accidentally punctured the closest item or something.

Same thing happened to me but I never canceled so I'll see charge soon. It showed up at my door, then 2 days later I got email saying it was just shipped. This was my 30-day notice order. Took me like 5min to get that blu-ray out of bubble suction lol

My 90+-day notice order still never shipped; on the plus side my 3rd order recently was shipped and received in 3 days total.

LOL! DD is so freakin weird right now! Hopefully I'll start getting some of my discs here soon!

I just got shipping notices for 3 of my remaining 4 backordered titles. They sent out Black Dynamite, Zombieland, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Anyone who ordered those three might get copies soon, too.
