(DEAD) Sony Deepdiscount Blu Ray Bogo

I'm surprised they're shipping any backordered items out, since they've yet to ship out my copy of Boogie Nights from back around Labor Day. Nor have they responded to my BBB complaint.

Good to know that some people out there are getting their backordered items.

I finally got my last blu-ray today too. I will never order from deep discount again, that's for sure.
 
I got a shipping notice today too. Once I get these I'm gonna lose the url for deepdiscount. This is by far the worst online buying experience I've ever had. The customer service was terrible.
 
Much like everyone else my order for Zombieland shipped today too. Unfortunately I moved since I originally placed the order so my BD is on its way to my old address right now. I tried canceling the order over a week ago but I guess it didn't take. I called Deep Discount TODAY and got a recording that said, "we are closed for the Thanksgiving holiday and we will reopen on Friday. Thank you."
 
I put in a request to cancel an order from 3 months ago and 2 months about 4-5 days ago. One of these orders conatained the Breaking Bad seasons and I bought them on black friday because I was tired of waiting. I even explained in the "order cancellation request" that I just bought the items somewhere else because I was sick of waiting. So instead of just canceling my orders they ship out one movie and one Breaking Bad season from each order. So I had the inconveinence of waiting on hold for 40 minutes so I could tell them that wanting to cancel an order doesn't mean "hey let's ship this mother fucker out 1 item from his 2 month old order, that should keep him satisfied for another few months and now we can charge his card!!!!". It's fucking bullshit that I now have to go through the hassle of waiting for these items to arrive, waiting for the return slips to arrive, sending the shit back, and then waiting probably an absurd amount of time for my card to be refunded. This site is a fucking joke, and I will never ever order anything from them again. I don't care what the deal is, it's not worth the frustration. What an awful business they run.
 
I also received a shipping notice for Life of Brian, Black Dynamite, Persepolis, and Starman. Hopefully the other half of my order is coming soon. I'm still waiting on some from the other B1G1 sale too.
 
I think I'm done with DD. Items are out of stock, I cancel, and months later they still ship them out and charge me for them? Apparently they can't (or won't) cancel an item if it says "processing," even if it's been processing for months.

Apparently the virtual credit card i used expired Nov, so when Moon went to ship they couldn't charge me. Email said item was canceled. Order status said Open. Made no sense.

I wrote a nice email(not really) saying its reasonable for a person to believe that ordering an item in beginning of Oct would not require a credit card to expire later than end of Nov. and they just canceled it without asking for updated info was stupid.

I got an email saying they would ship from an auxiliary warehouse. That was 2 weeks ago, and I got it today surprisingly.

Order status still says Open - and I never updated my CC info on the site, so not sure what's up.
 
Their site is screwed up. I have completed orders still listed as open and you can cancel stuff online but they ship anyway. They're definitely a shell of their former selves.

And I'm still waiting for two Blu-rays from this sale.
 
Anyone still waiting for titles from this deal? Because they're still telling me they're out of stock but the website is showing them as being in-stock and part of new sales offers.

I canceled my order months ago, that sounds extremely shady.

Maybe DD should be blacklisted from CAG until further notice. Don't want others having the experience I had.
 
Luckily, an order I had cancelled months ago, continue to show 'Cancelled' at least online. Hopefully, they won't be shipping it.

An order from their B1G1F sale from months back finally arrived. In an email, it says all 6 Blurays in my order shipped but found only 5 in the box. I emailed them to say one was missing. Hopefully, they will ship it to me... one day soon... I hope.
 
I'm having email messages back and forth from them where they're saying all 6 of my blurays shipped and I'm telling them one of them is missing from the shipment. Let's see if anything gets resolved. I'm thinking of ordering something from their latest TV B1G1F sale but I guess we'll see.

Think about the stress and anger you've had over the past few months.
Consider that I've seen everything I ordered come-up for sale cheaper somewhere else in the months before my order was fulfilled.
Several ended up free on netflix stream while I was waiting.
I've come to the conclusion that no matter how much I save, it's not worth it to deal with DD.
 
I guess I've been lucky so far that, at least so far, everything I've ordered from them has been the lowest price beating even the latest sales from Amazon and Bestbuy. Besides this one problem and sure I could be in the minority but the long wait times I've had with them doesn't bother me. As long as the prices are low, I'm willing to put up with a little grief but that doesn't include them telling me they sent something when it's missing from my shipment.
 
Sweet, months after placing my order... and also months after canceling my order... they're finally sending them out. :booty:

Last time I ever deal with Deep Discount again, though I'm worried about how I'll be treated on DVD Planet since I still have $20 store credit to use up with them.
