They don't add next-day when you PM online. But for 5% savings, it is almost never worth waiting in line at customer service for price matching. Even if it goes smoothly, it turns a 5 minute experience into a 30 experience. Why would I give myself the aggravation, reward them for having a higher price, to save $1.
The other farce is the convenience of in-store pickup. 5 minutes to go grab a game and pay for it, or... 5 mins to order online, 15-30 mins of waiting inline at customer service, 5 mins while they hunt for your order, 5 mins to pay. Not convenient at all. I'll still do it if they have a crazy deal that might sell out, or my store doesn't have it in stock, but other than that I avoid the in-store pickup. They have also brought back free shipping, so even less incentive.
I think adding next-day shipping to PM cost sucks, but I do think they they have the right; It costs more to run a B&M, and you pay a premium for of getting it now.
I find since Best-Buy bought FS, that they really are no different now. Same policies, same stock, etc.
