Dell.ca: God of War Collection-$34.99, Forza 3-$54.99, New Super Mario Bros.-$49.99
Hmm, had bad luck with Dell in the past, shipping Mario Kart weeks late. $5 is not worth the risk.
you're on the wrong site if being cheap isn't your goal ;)

personally I don't see the big deal if you get a single-player game a week late..how many people out there have honestly played and beaten every single game they have in their collection. I'm sure you can find something to play

anyways...

i might pick up the GoW collection but I just have to decide if I actually want to play through them again and more importantly if HD is worth $35 when i have the PS2 copies sitting right in front of me

I aim to be a cheap ass, but risking a weeks long delay to save $5 on a game I've been looking forward to isn't something I'm comfortable with. I recommend you get the collection, it looks great! Huge improvement over the originals.

Update: Crap I think I might jump on this deal anyway, I'm too cheap to pass it up. It says ships in 5-7 days, shouldn't it still say pre-order? A couple hours ago it said out of stock.

Hmm...I might have to jump on the God of War Collection. I haven't played full either game and the only GoW game I've finished was the PSP one. Maybe I should just pass this deal to whoever is buying christmas gifts for me :)

My Mario order has shipped, I only ordered it on Friday. Much better service than the time I ordered Mario Kart from Dell!

Update, received my copy.

so I go to BestBuy to pick up a copy of GOW Collection and show the Dell.ca price to match, and the guy at the cash says " I will have to charge you shipping" and I say "no you don't, Dell is offering free shipping" and he says "I don't think so" so he goes to see his manager, he comes back and says "your right" but "I cannot match because Dell does not offer overnight shipping" and I say " your joking right?"

I went and talked to the manager but he would not budge so I told him that I am done shopping at Bestbuy, they just lost a triple A customer for $5 bucks. Good customer service Bestbuy - go back to the USA. This is the third strike with them in the last few months. The other 2 had to do with bestbuy online sending me the wrong product and me having to call 100 times. Just had to rant!

Best Buy did that to me for a $12 Wii gun handle thing that Dell had on sale. They said they have to charge me for immediate shipping but then they only charged me $1 when I'm pretty sure the shipping would have been more than that. I think she made a mistake on that one.

Has anyone had their copy of GOW ship yet, mine hasn't budged although they did ship Mario on Monday.

In their defence, they have every right to add next-day shipping to the PM price, and AFAIK, the GoW Collection is OOS at Dell.ca anyhow.

i don't see how they should be able to charge next day shipping since I would never order priority shipping anyway...the basic shipping serves its purpose for me

i had a similar incident trying to get them to price match amazon.ca, to the point where I was literally calling out their CSR manager in front of everyone in line behind me. The guy went as far to tell me that amazon was not a legitimate online retailer so I proceeded to ask for the store manager and the guy refused. needless to say i finally got ahold of the store manager and ripped a hole in him as well for having cash managers that don't know their own price-match policies

on that same situation that tried to add shipping to amazons price (but they free ship over $39 so I screamed at them again) :bomb:

finally I won...all to save $15 off a game. I sent a nasty email to best buy corporate and got a $20 gift card in the mail...so sometimes standing up and being a royal ass pays off

I usually only go to Future Shop now as that was not the only problem I've had PM'ing at BB...needless to say FS never has problems PM'ing with amazon

They have every right to claim next-day shipping. I'm pretty sure it says so in their stupid rules. And really, you're getting the product instantly... If you're willing to wait a week for shipping, why are you being a pain in the neck for them? Sure, we'd like to save an extra dollar on the PM+5%. But getting angry at them over a pittance is just silly.

They do have right to claim-next day shipping because of they stupid convenience factor of getting it "right now" and that their policy does state it; however, if the company doesn't offer next-day it's kinda bullshit they wouldn't price match imo...

Although, if your ordering it online (assuming you can PM online), they shouldn't add on the next-day shipping if they do =\

They don't add next-day when you PM online. But for 5% savings, it is almost never worth waiting in line at customer service for price matching. Even if it goes smoothly, it turns a 5 minute experience into a 30 experience. Why would I give myself the aggravation, reward them for having a higher price, to save $1.

The other farce is the convenience of in-store pickup. 5 minutes to go grab a game and pay for it, or... 5 mins to order online, 15-30 mins of waiting inline at customer service, 5 mins while they hunt for your order, 5 mins to pay. Not convenient at all. I'll still do it if they have a crazy deal that might sell out, or my store doesn't have it in stock, but other than that I avoid the in-store pickup. They have also brought back free shipping, so even less incentive.

I think adding next-day shipping to PM cost sucks, but I do think they they have the right; It costs more to run a B&M, and you pay a premium for of getting it now.

I find since Best-Buy bought FS, that they really are no different now. Same policies, same stock, etc.

I haven't heard hide nor hair of my GoW collection. It's still showing as "In Production" (really? Sweet! I can just see the dell factories putting my game together ;))

Est delivery, 12/8/2009.

Eh... I've got AC2, L4D2 and Uncharted (the first one, I'm behind. Gimmie a break! ;)) so there's no massive rush on getting this to me :)

weird.

When did you order? I put mine in on the 14th and it's showed nothing different.

I don't mind waiting, it sucks... but eh. As long as I get it, I'm fine.

Or you can do as I just did: I gave up on DELL and ordered "God of War collection" with ISPU from Futureshop for $35.99 ($39.99 -10% for their after-hour special)...

Weird. Well, I know if I go and buy it after an ISPU at the lower price, I'll get my shipment on Monday or Tuesday. I can be patient.

If it's not here by then, however, then we're going to have words.

Man. I can pay $1 more to get it at Futureshop tomorrow but I have to make the trip. Or wait an extra 2-3-4 days for Dell. I think I'm gonna wait just to save the trip. Busy with Assassins Creed 2 anyway. Guess I'm a Lazy Ass Gamer too.

I was at FS yesterday and picked up GoW.

Of course, I tried calling Dell to cancel today, got transferred to their "outsourced" support and wished I'd never have ordered from them to begin with.

The next deal better be really freaking good or I'll never order from them again. Crap, it is.

The guy I spoke to was rude and just... ugh. Asshats.

That sucks. I'm still waiting for my copy, I expect it to ship this week but knowing Dell it might not. I have to give them credit though for shipping New Mario the day after it launched, which was the first business day after release.

Mine shipped today (Monday) so I'm expecting it tomorrow. Good luck to everyone else!

Edit: Funny, they shipped my game yesterday (1 week late) and then emailed me today with "We regret to inform you of a delay in your recent Dell order. If your order has not shipped within 5 business days, we will provide you with an update."

Wow, I woke up early to be ready to accept my game from Purolator so I wouldn't have to go pick it up and wait even longer. Sat around all day only to check my tracking status now and it says they attempted delivery at 5:03, while I was sitting there waiting. There's no delivery tag on the door or anything, they must have gone to the wrong house. I know this is Purolator's fault but I'm never ordering a game from Dell again. Could have had it a week ago, all this to save $5. Not worth it. I'm beyond frustrated.

I ordered the new Mario and Luigi from them and got it really quickly, like within 3 days. I ordered the new Mario Bros. and Assassin's Creed 2 on tuesday and as far as I know, it still hasn't even shipped. :(

my gow: collections came today in the morning and it said it was shipping on nov 26th. orderd on the 14th. and got it on the 24th. so im happy :)

I ended up calling Purolator and they told me GOW was scheduled to be redelivered tomorrow. I didn't want them to try taking it to the wrong house again so I went and picked it up. GOW2 looks amazing, it really makes GOW1 look bad. I didn't remember there being such a big difference between the two games. 1 still looks good, though.
