Demon's Souls @ $29.99 (NEW), Amazon

Azuvidexus

CAGiversary!
Amazon is now selling Demon's Souls for $29.99. Keep in mind that this is with free shipping and no tax (in some states)! Also get $5 worth of MP3 downloads from Amazon MP3 after you order your qualifying video game item.

They are price matching GameStop, so it probably won't be lasting too long. Before the price match, Amazon was selling it for either $36.99 or $39.99 (can't remember).

Thanks for the heads up. This is a far better deal for me since Amazon doesn't charge me tax + I am an Amazon Prime member.

i got this for just a couple bucks cheaper from Gamestop during their huge sales in April, and there was no mp3 credit... good deal!

Yeah, I also got it at the end of April, but in Amazon. They were selling it for $32.99 + $10 video game credit.

My price point is $19.99, im thinking black friday, but if I still had that $10 amazon credit, i would have used that too, now

Same here. This game has me intrigued, but I'm not paying much because I have a feeling I'll be replacing a controller or two while trying to play it.

I am with you here. Excellent price and better game.

Actually now that I think about it I did get a $10 code with it. It was 26.99+Tax + $10 code... this is still a good deal for what is currently available!

I'm waiting on Amazon to give me my $20 credit from SMG2 so I can grab this at $10. I've been intrigued by this game for a while now and it's about time I did something about it :)

totally worth it at $30. It's really not as hard as some people make it out to be. It's time intensive yes, with learning how to navigate through each level and how different monsters behave, but it's not overly technically challenging, if that makes any sense. I'm not at all a hard core gamer and I get frustrated at games pretty easy, but Demon's Souls is one of my favorite games on PS3 and so much fun to play.

I paid $75 for it, the soundtrack, a terrible artbook, an awesome strategy guide, and an outer case and it was very worth it. The game alone is very worth $60, in my opinion.

It looks like a temporary price drop across the board.

Then they list Gamestop, Gamestop.ca, Amazon, Amazon.ca and GoGamer.com
so would the strategy guide be helpful or am I better off looking up gamefaq?
The game focuses on trial & error - I don't believe a guide is necessary to get through areas, rather than learning the game's dynamics and level layout.

However, I would consult demon's souls wiki regarding character builts, weapon upgrades, and world/character tendency.

I forgot I hadn't used my SMG2 credit yet. My order confirmation said $9.99. Can't beat that! Now the question is whether or not this game will make me rage harder than Street Fighter.

Finally.. a price i can chomp on. And thanks to a nice $30 credit it was pretty much free. Im starting to like this amazon game credit program.

The cool thing about this is that since it's a global price drop, a lot of people will be buying, so that's more online people ^_^

Might I suggest if you normally don't enjoy JPGs, you'll more then likely enjoy this. I typically hate JRPGs, but this game is different.

Just not sure I'd enjoy a game so intent on kicking my butt with impunity. Haha. Great deal though for a game many seem to love. However, I think this is one I'm going to wait to see if it goes lower...

I recently picked this up for under $30 at Gamestop... AMAZING game, it has me hooked. I think about playing it while I'm doing other stuff, strategies I ought to use, weapons that might work better on certain enemies... it's been quite some time since a game has made me feel this way.

Also, don't be scared by the "difficulty", it's more, "intensity", really. You really care when you die and feel badass when you survive a tough situation.

I tried this game early on for full price and sold it near that after being frustrated to no end. This price is now close to what I might pick it up again for, but not quite. With credit, if I had it, I MIGHT go $10. But not a penny more. Where this game missed the boat for me was the total lack of a compelling story. I felt it more of a fantasy arcade game where the goal is to try and get all the way thru a level w/out dying. Never really cared much for why. And being in my 50's now the 'why' is much more important than it used to be. Decent exclusive for the Ptriple that just needing a compelling story, more cutscenes to tie it altogether, and motivators other than getting to the next demon.

Just saw 2 near new condition copies at my Gamestop for $26something. Still not low enough for me. Sub 20 dollar range and I'll most likely bite.

I think going to the wiki is a must in a game where dudes are invading you and raping and pillaging.

Some games you are fine just kicking around, upgrading randomly ... but this game I think you'll want to see the weapon upgrade paths, scaling damage, etc.

Great game.
