Diablo III / Diablo II Battle.net Thread

I've found 2 *crappy* legendary the past 2 days. I farmed Butcher ---> cemetery ---> the 2 fields ---> and the field right outside tristam that leads up to the cemetery. It takes about 1-1.5 hrs. However, you can find goodies.

The 819 dps bow is something I purchased for 500k from AH. The LOH is working great. The 656 dps bow is great because of the lvl reduction even if not best.

Anyone know what I can sell these items for?

My best loot the past 2 days:

The Goldskin i got myself .... sold for about 20K gold. don't know much about other classes besides wizard but the LOH xbow is only thing that looks good to me ;p

It's sad, I've bought most of my stuff from the AH. Never seem to get anything worth using from drops. The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if that isn't by design, but oh well.

never even thought about it like that until you said something....
Question. Grabbed this today, wondering if it was any good gold wise (I have no clue since I play monk).

Worth about 581. ;)

Having today off, I spent a lot of time farming a1 inferno. 20 - 30 rare items / run. at least 7 runs. Nothing good to show for it...

Do things get better in later Acts?

This game needs to thow me a bone.

Finding truly elite stuff is really just a matter of luck and attrition, regardless of where you're farming.

The average item levels in later acts will be higher, but you'll also lose some of that benefit by farming taking longer.
what happens when you get the best loot?

farm to make money?
Prolly farming for a PVP set for when they add PVP.

Although I still don't understand their logic as to why they couldn't have open PVP as well as the arenas.

I guess so. There's not really an end of the rainbow if you're not interested in that. I'm not, which is kind of why I've petered out in Inferno.

That's not wholly different than Diablo II, it just happened to have a more enjoyable variety of loot in my opinion.

Not really, mainly because Act Two, Three, and Four drops are fucked at the moment. Spent four hours farming Act Three yesterday and got all trash. Just stick to farming Act One for now until they fix it.

Had about $48 bnet dollars and decided I wanted to convert it to paypal, had a friend sell some shitty item and tell me the exact specs. Bought it and I'm only gonna receive $40. meh, I wonder if there are other ways to sell without these ridiculous fees. Tried jsp and it always involves forum gold etc

Doh - should have done that. I had $27.36 I wanted to cash out and i just bought a weapon that was a small upgrade(+1K dmg) over current, and then listed the current.

Fee-wise, 15% is pretty standard across auction sites(Amazon, ebay, half.com, etc).

Some hot fixes coming today.

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/6214196/Diablo_III_Hotfixes_-_June_Updated_628-6_28_2012#blog

Note: since these are just hotfixes done on Blizzard's side no patch is needed to be downloaded.

Items

The drop rates for high-end items (items level 61-63) have been increased for Acts III and IV of Hell difficulty and Acts I – IV of Inferno difficulty:
The new approximate drop rates are as follows:

Hell – Act III and Act IV

iLvl 61: 9% to 13.9%
iLvl 62: 1.9% to 3.45%
iLvl 63: 0% (no change)

Inferno – Act I

iLvl 61: 17.7% to 23.9%
iLvl 62: 7.9% to 12.6%
iLvl 63: 2.0% to 4.8%

Inferno – Act II

iLvl 61: 18.6% to 23.3%
iLvl 62: 12.4% to 18.6%
iLvl 63: 4.1% to 9.3%

Inferno – Act III and Act IV

iLvl 61: 24.1% to 27.1%
iLvl 62: 16.1% to 21.7%
iLvl 63: 8.0% to 16.3%

Bosses

Bosses are now guaranteed to drop at least 1 Rare item for players with 4 stacks of Nephalem Valor and at least 2 Rare items for players with 5 stacks of Nephalem Valor

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug with several items that would allow those items to block pathing when dropped on the ground
Fixed a crash that could sometimes occur when a player was interacting with environment objects (e.g. opening chests or clicking on a lectern)
Fixed several additional game and service crashes

Hopefully farming Act 3 is worth it now.

EDIT

Doing a quick Act 1 right now, getting TONS of ilvl 55 and below shit. Never got this much before today. Still haven't seen anything above ilvl 60.

Nice, glad to see higher drop rates. I didn't know Hell had a chance to spawn ilvl 61 and higher gear. Thought it was only inferno.

Will hopefully be getting to Act III tomorrow in Hell difficulty.

Annnnnd...Act One sucks dick now.

One ilvl 62
Three ilvl 61
30 or so ilvl 56 and below items

I got WAY better shit pre-hotfix. Used to get tons of ilvl 61 items, a bunch of ilvl 62's, and at least one or two ilvl 63 items. What a waste of time.

Act 1/2 are pretty much a cakewalk for my barb now but Act 3 is still instant death from any elites. Hopefully the new loot tables will bring some useful upgrades from 1/2. Main problem now is monotony. Playing the same shit over and over is getting really tedious.

sold a unidentified but crappy ilvl 63 belt for 150k. the person ID'ed it. I have a feeling that there is about ilvl 63 separation where act1-2 ilvl 63 drops will always be crappy while act 3-4 63 item will be good. i feel the system distinguishes it based on act found.
This actually makes me want to play tonight....
Unless you can farm act 3, it might not be as great as you'd think. For me, it's night and day in terms of 63 drops. I FILLED my stash this morning from one run with goodies that I can actually sell. That has never happened since the nerf. Got one set item, one legendary and at least 60 blues/rares of 61 quality or higher. It just saved the game for me honestly because farming act 3 before was so unrewarding with the high repair bills from arcane or jailer deaths and nothing to show for it. I like the change, even if the lower acts are nerfed because it forces people to strive for a higher tier of content if they want the goodies. I worked my ass off to get where I'm at and the last patch nearly made me quit considering people were getting almost the same loot from easy content.

Now I actually look forward to farming again knowing that while most drops are crap, at least there's so many dropping I have a real chance for something nice. Also broke 42k DPS, 400 AR, 6.1k armor, 61k HP unbuffed this morning: act 3 is a cakewalk. ;)

This. I can attest that when I was doing chest runs in Act 3, I got some amazing drops in just a couple of minutes while I played Act1 for 1-1/2 hour and got nothing but vendor and mat crap.

Just ran Act One again just to see if maybe earlier was a fluke. Doesn't seem like it was. It seems like they really cranked the drop rate of ilvl 56 and below stuff because that's pretty much all I get now. On the otherhand I did an Act Three run too and was immediately getting TONS of ilvl 62 and 63 drops, even without five stacks.

RIP Act One.

You just must be unlucky. The run I did earlier today was pretty good, got me a mh upgrade.

Was pushing through Act 3 for a 5 stack, and got it ....then client got disconnected....then client blew up and I had to Ctrl Alt Del kill it. Sweet - def worth the repair cost to get there.

Just saw a LOT of people complaining that their HC characters were gone due to this. Blizzard has to do something about this. As one person said - it is one thing to die from your own stupidity but an entirely different level of frustration when it is Bilzzard's. I cannot agree more. Yet another reason to over-level your HC characters...although this one may not have mattered since (at least for me) it was about 45-60 seconds of lag before I got disconnected.

And that...that is why I dont mess with hardcore. I'd probably wind up smashing my computer monitor on the ground if I died due to Blizzards dogshit servers.

Are servers that laggy tonight? Played abit and died twice already because of lag. I'll probably retire for the day. Hopefully it'll be better tomorrow

Any tips for a Barb on Hell/Inferno?

Mainly looking for what stats/gear I should be looking for. Also, what skills with what runes would be recommended. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Servers are pretty bad. Logged in and saw 1500 ms lag. Waited a bit and it dropped. I finished Act II of hell and stopped for the night.

Frenzy/Sidearm, Ignore Pain/Ignorance is Bliss, Leap/Iron Impact, Revenge/Provocation, Warcry/Impunity, WoB/Insanity

That's what I roll with and I can smash Act Three. I'm sitting at 24k DPS, 51k HP, and 5k armor unbuffed. Also, get all your resists around 600 and Arcane, Physical, and Fire around 850 or so.
What about gear-wise? Shoot for as much LoH gear as I can?
Too expensive. Just go for crit chance and crit damage.

yeah, my friends DC'd, and I died to lag/freeze a few times. the drop rates honestly are bit retarded...I'm finding 1000 dps 2Her in Act I, and the resist all equipment is raining like toads. Granted not everything is an upgrade but it almost feels like they're fattening is us for the kill.

i havent sold anything high end on the AH yet, but my old crossbow seems to be pretty decent statwise and might fetch something more than a few thousand as I do most of my AHing w/smaller items and smaller prices. Can someone give me a price check on it? Maybe a good starting and even a safe buyout? I don't have a screenie but the stats are:

2H crossbow (blue)
880.8 dps (i know it's high 800's)
55% bonus damage to crit (not accurate but it's around that)
3.6% freeze on hit
( ) - socket

thanks in advance.

What areas of act 3 are you guys farming for the good drops? Yesterday I purchased 2 unidentified ilvl 62 bows for 60k. One ended up being 942dps and the other 640dps with ilvl requirement reduced by 8 to 52. What you guys these bows may be part. Hope the 60k was well spent.

what exactly where you trying to say here? I'm trying to understand not poke fun.

You could probably get around 500k if not more for that. The dps is kinda low for a 2hand but weapons with crit damage and a socket go for alot.

I finally managed to finish act 2 and can farm act 2 pretty easily now. Act 3 is still a little tough for me. Im doing a dual wield DPS build on my Barbarian and I can kill fast but my defense and health are a little low.

There's currently a couple 2H crossbows in the AH with similar stats at 50K and no buyers after several hours. 10K for starting and 25-35K sounds about right if you want to be rid of it.

Hmm, so I am 56 now, about to hit Act III in hell. My gear is roughly all ilvl 51-53 ish with 2 ilvl 54 pieces.

Should I upgrade my gear now, or just wait till 60? I am only doing upgrades that under 10k per piece until I hit 60.

that was autocorrect fail. question is how much do you guys think these bows may be worth? damn fone.
