btw, maybe someone should adress this to Cheapy or the mods. It could be me as well, but the forum clock seems to be ten minutes slower than my microsoft synchronized clock.

Also, can anyone tell me how many EXP per steps you gain in the daycare, and how many steps an egg will take to be made? I'd like to make some Riolu and Spiritomb eggs, but they're in my party and I don't want their movesets screwed up.

I think I already asked this, but I forgot already. XD

Making eggs depends if your pokemon are of the same species and if they are from trainers other than yourself. The best scenario is same species, different trainer. Though, I'm not sure of the steps needed, most of the time, eggs pop out around 500 steps for me, pretty short.
 
Pokemon in the daycare gain 1exp point for every single step you make, so it can be a bit damning on lowbie pokemon but once they get higher level it's not as noticeable

The amount of steps required for the day care man to yield an egg is random. However, chances of fewer required steps is increased the better the relationship the pokemon have in the daycare. And better relationships come from traded pokemon. Sometimes It would be around 100 steps, sometimes a couple thousand, it's random.

Also, no real need to worry like Yertle said. The exp is only 1 per step, and I assume your pokemon are already high level. And in any chance they lose a move (though I assume they cant learn anymore) just get heart scale, which you can get from underground or fish luvdisc around pokemon league. Also, one thing to note is that the day care lady erases/inserts moves into the first slot. So every now and again, take out your pokemon and shift your valuable moves to the latter slots. This is especially important when you start to get into breeding chains where you want certain egg moves.
 
May I ask what the heart scale does? I think I have two. Also, I'm not very far, only have my team at level 21 and just got to the Daycar town. =P

I'm assuming Luvdisc occasionally are caught holding the heart scale?

Also, my Ditto I have is traded, so the relationship should be decent.

hearts scales allow you to relearn forgotten moves

The heartscale is what you use to relearn forgotten moves. Go to person at Pastoria near the lake in the house and he'll reteach a move for a heartscale.

Also, luvdisc are uncommon, but not rare, and you need a super rod which you get from the northeast island.
