Digital Devil Saga 1 currently available at GS.com ($39.99)

how much really is this game worth if it's just the game DISC, no booklet or case? I can get it for $40 but not sure if I should...this would honestly be a play and sell situation with inflation in mind lol.
 
Just called a GS that had a copy according to the website. Guy said disc is all scratched up, blah, blah...

I shouldnt have called and let him get that copy dammit. Didnt want to waste 20 mins driving. Looks like I will have to to the other 2 stores that also show they have at least one copy.

Well, got a copy with disc and case only at one of the two places I went. At the other place, they couldn't find th disc, and I couldn't find the case.

sorry the formatting isn't the same.. but I just placed this order 10min ago.. so GS is constantly updating inventory I guess. Let's hope it comes in COMPLETE!!
 
They had a copy at one of the Gamestops and the worker was SHOCKED and stuttering, we searched all over but could not find the case for it. Nabbed the disc only as it was in good shape. Also grabbed Devil Summoner sealed.
 
just picked this up in store this afternoon mint with case and book and used the 10% off coupon + edge so it was 31.99 + FL tax. I don't know what i was thinking selling this the 1st time i had it.

Are people willing to pay for disc only?
Most of the auctions I see on Ebay are complete sets.
I am just happy to get a copy with case.
Played up until Harley was defeated today. Looks like it has potential. And I like the Auto during the battles. Save some button pushing lol
 
I am sure I have seen disc-only copies on Half.com from time to time, and then they are gone. So, I guess there is demand, and that would only increase as the disc-only copies dry up, as well.
 
My local GS had this in stock for 39.99 as well, unfortunately it was disc only. The disc was immaculate though, so I bought it. Playing it right now, it is AWESOME thus far. Thank you very much OP!

P.S. No one knows any way I can score the case art and instruction booklet, by any chance? I already have a thread about this, but I thought I'd ask here as well.

I paid the $55 when i 1st got it. I sold it to a friend of mine for $35 a few years ago w/the the deluxe box then i tried to buy it back from him recently and he wouldn't budge.

holy crap! i just hit the jackpot. I searched the GS site for the nearest gamestop with DDS1 and it said there was one just around my neighborhood. I just moved to Brooklyn so I didn't even know there was a gs around. I go there, and it's not a GS but a ebgames and they have persona 3!!!! new and in a sealed box for 40 bucks! then they are telling me they are closing down and give me a flyer for 20% off to go to the next Gs which is only a block away. I go there and they have a supermint DDS1 with everything for 40 bucks and another new persona 3, DDS2 for 17.99, nocturne for 50 bucks, atelier iris1 and tons of Ico, suikoden IV, Rez, and every goddamn sort of rare game that you can find. I use the 20% off and get dds1, persona 3, dds2, nocturne for ~120 bucks!!!! you can't beat that. apparently everyone in brooklyn plays crap FPS and the store manager didn't even know what DDs1 or persona was. They said that it was there forever and were kinda glad to get rid of it. man, I was searching everywhere for these games and nothing, not even a sniff and now I've hit the mother lode.

EDIT: Heh, the orders I put in for before involving Legaia, Vagrant Story, Suikoden, etc. are still backordered as expected. I really don't see that ever getting fulfilled. >_

Isnt that one of the greatest feelings in the world? That is probably why I do my weekly searches for items (rare/clearance) at all my stores (GS/Target/CC/BB/Kmart,etc.) I love the hunt and the "catch" when I do find items for super cheap. I enjoy it as much as playing the damn games themselves.
 
I am even worse. I dont even play the games. I hope to, but dont have time so they are sitting on my shelves.

Grabbed another one. Did they find a box of these somewhere. Been in stock more than I have ever seen.

On a side note, I went out of town with my band and stopped in a GS and was able to find a mint copy of DDS 1 as well as Magna Carta deluxe, Atlelier (sp?) Iris 2 and Growlanser Generations.
 
Finally picked up a copy a couple of minutes ago. I apparently have ToDII backordered on their system as well. :lol:
 
When people begin to receive their orders, please post about how mint their copy is. If they are all MINT LIKE NEW, it should be a good indicator that they are the recent reprints that GS ripped the factory seal off so that they could sell it as used for more $$.
