I apologize for the delays in replies. Been busy packing and all.
Thanks to all that replied / paid / helped me in this lowball.
But a max bid the way you are doing it doesn't make sense. If I post for all to see how much I'm willing to pay for something, it does one of two things:
1. Scares everyone off (i.e. "I'm not going to pay $21 for that movie!") or
2. Some jackass bids just high enough not to win but to force you to pay your max (i.e. "What? He's going to pay $20?! I bid $19. HAHAHAHAHALOLZ").
It's really just a matter of the definition of "max bid." On ebay, it's what you're describing. Here (in the lowball format), it's how much you're willing to increment the price of the item.
No harm done; it's just a learning opportunity for those of us that will hold lowball sales in the future to either define "max bid" or to remove the word "max".
I could not have explained better. Thanks!
I asked Dinobot and he said it was cool. In Aegith's his rules state that you can post a max bid. I'm not trying to do things outside of the rules.
Yes, you did ask me. However, I only replied to your second question (with regards to gifting) as I did not think much of your first question. Sorry.
I'm glad u understand. I'm jus used to ebay. Now I know that I misunderstood "max bid". I apologize to anyone that was "offended". In the future if I bid on an item I will increment the price of the item. Thank You 4 ur input and understanding.
I am not quite sure what to do with your bid, as the $20 you stated probably scared off other bidders.
How about this, I'll let you decide if you want it or not @ $20. I won't mind if you decide to back out.
