I've seen buy 2 get 1 free before, but can't remember where.

Power discs add items to the toy box, change the look of the toybox, give characters stat boosts, costume changes, or special abilities. 2.0 duscs work in both 2.0 and 3.0. 1.0 discs work in 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0

thanks for the info, ended up getting 3 packs of the 2.0 discs. 2 marvel and 1 originals. also got vader and chewy, will wait til the next batch comes out to see if there are any other deals

Yeah, I was just trying BestBuy. I have two BestBuy stores in the general vicinity. The closest one has zero in stock. There is one about a half-hour drive away that has only one pack in stock (I called and asked how many they have), and the site itself will only allow you to order three packs. :(

Sent you a PM. I have 2 of the Marvel discs you are looking for. All 3 of my local TRU's have 0 Marvel discs, so I couldn't get any when they were $1.50 last week, and all of my Best Buys have little to none of the Marvel discs as well. :(

 
Man, my budget has taken a huge beating to all the deals the last couple of weeks. Was looking forward to not having to spend any money this week, and now the Star Wars figures go on sale. Grrr. Looks like I'm going to have to pick a couple up.

Any recommendations on the Star Wars side of things? I have the playset figs (Luke, Leia, Anakin, Ahsoka), Boba Fett and Sabine (she had to be my first!)

 
Is the BB sale all week or just today? Debating if I want to get more figures now or not (looking at Mickey and Minnie).

EDIT: Nevermind, I found out (it should be all week).

Can't go wrong with Han and Chewie. Ezra and Zeb are also good choices that will not eventually be superceded by the Light FX figures. Though not Star Wars, the Tron figures and Mulan are also awesome.
 
I also picked up Han and Chewie. Any idea when these FX figures are coming out? Not going to start the game until those come out.

Try going to Walmart or target and price match Best Buy. With them being $1.99 a pack, now is the time to complete your collection. Since your near completion try to find a store that has like 20-30 packs to buy, and buy them all. Place the unopened packs on the base to find the ones you need, and just return the ones you don't need. That's what I did to complete mine. Unfortunately I didn't learn this trick until I already had a ton of duplicates. Good luck.

Thanks, but yeah, I had already tried this too, actually. According to Brickseek's tracker, none of the Walmarts in my area have any Disney Originals Packs, and only one Target supposedly had 24 packs. I drove all the way out there and they had none. The guy looked up the DCPI number and said it must be a miscount. :(

 
I picked up Vader, Han, Chewie, and Obi-Wan. I haven't decided if I'm going to pick up the rebels yet or not. Also, I was tempted by the Inside Out characters. Oh and the Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Ah damn...

 
A while back we were talking about female Marvel characters. Just thought of Quake, aka Daisy, aka Skye, from Agents of SHIELD. An AoS playset would be cool. Coulson, Quake, Lady Sif from Thor, Dethlok, the Inhumans, and the rest.

I have mine in a 3 tier christmas ball ornament display. I doesn't do a great job but we're prepping for a "final" move into the house so I've got a shelf system already there that I'm building tiers for.

I use the exact same thing for all my 1.0 and 2.0 figures, now waiting for stores to restock them so I can accommodate all the 3.0's.
 
Any pics or links? i'm picturing a christmas tree shaped cake stand right now...lol.  

edit: also I still have a lot of unused web codes for figures/playsets offered to CAGs free, pm me

I keep all of mine in a large clear rubbermaid bin that is easy for my daughter to see the figure she wants, open and close it. They obviously aren't displayed but it's a good way to store what we have and keep from making a mess.

Because everyone has been talking about the 3.0 lightsaber characters being fragile, I'm not going to store those in the bin. I'll probably keep them displayed somewhere else or in some sort of container that they won't move around.

Think this is what will from disneyinfinitytv uses and it looks great, seen others use what looks like mini steps to display figures on (not sure what the 'steps' are called lol
 
Wal-Mart has Snapware storeage just like the link, but with only 2 trays instead of 3, but they're $8.99. They can hold 16 regular figured or 9 larger ones, like Hulk, Venom, and Baymax. Unfortunately, they're only available close to Christmas. They're in the seasonal section, not the section they keep the other storage bins.
 
Damn, I hate you guys.  I was not going to buy anymore of these but I made the mistake of checking this thread today.  I guess Han and Chewie will be good stocking stuffers when the holidays come around.

 
Picked up Ezra, Han and Chewbacca. Thinking about Disgust, Fear and Sam Flynn. That would leave me short just the FX guys.

Does this still work with 2.0? I thought the packaging threw off detection by the "portal"? I thought it only worked in 1.0...

Sam Flynn is awesome! He's got the custom "de-rez" animation when he kills someone (just like Quorra) and he complements her well. While she's a melee specialist, he excels at long range. If you like Tron, you'll love the homages Sam has: his range weapon is a disc, his block breaker is a light cycle, and his special move involves the MCP core.

Fear is great if you have the Inside-Out set, as he's far faster than everyone else, and is a must have if you want to get good speed run times. Disgust's jump ability is underutilized due to only six of the 18 stages having the clouds required for her super jump (Sadness has this same issue), but there are some idea bulbs that require her to get, so if you want to get everything, you need her.

Haven't actually played as Quorra yet, ordered on AWD last week and it gets here tomorrow, and am not the biggest Tron fan. These were the 2 figures I was least interested in.

As for the Inside Out figures my daughter really wants Disgust, so I will be getting it eventually

... I wish I'd thought of that before I bought/opened 30+ packs this week.

On the plus side, I was mostly buying from series' I had minimal discs from so... the dupes weren't too terrible. And I got a lot of new rares (not one of which was a dupe) SO... all and all... not terrible.

Still, I have 20+ more packs I ordered online coming this week, and I will surely test these out before opening them, and make use of the many receipts I've gathered this week as necessary, lol.

Is what the poster above said about the 2.0 packs true? Do they throw off the sensor? Most of the packs I've bought are 2.0. I don't need many 1.0 discs, except for Series 3, and I can't seem to find Series 3 in any stores anymore (found 1 random pack mixed amongst a lot of Series 2 at a Toys R Us. Beyond that zip.)

I was at D23 and they had A LOT more than 100 discs left over. I would estimate they had at least 1000 left.

Would not be surprised at all if they held more contests at some point.

To the people asking if this works, this was also my biggest problem too. You just need to put the different sky and terrain discs you already have opened on the base to see what they look like. Then place unopened packs on to find ones you don't have. When I was scanning discs I would try to get them in the corner of the package so they would stack good. You'll need to place a character on top of some discs, and the other discs are checked on the other spot on the base. Hope this helps anyone wondering.
 
My son wants Ultron and Hulkbuster. He also wants the Battlegrounds game that should be released early 2016. Will the BG playset come w/ Ultron and HB? I do not want duplicates b/ he is anxious to get the figures. I tried Google for an answer and did not find definitive answer. Thanks in advance for any info.

No, they will not be included with the Playset. JV said that Captain America: The First Avenger and one other new figure will be included with the Playset. :)

I don't remember as it seems like forever since my daughter or I have played 1.0. Plus she got pretty bored really quick with the Toy Box mode and went back to playing the playsets. If I get a chance later tonight I may throw it in and see, provided no one else chimes in before then.
