DK Bongos reduced to $9.99(randomly in stock)
Are you sure you'll be able to use those bongos in the cave you live in?
Oh yeah, forgot theres not outlets in my cave. Anyway, yay, got in on it.

Still in stock. I would grab them but I dont know if I'll ever get Donkey Konga. They probably be worth a lot of money someday just like the Samba De Amigo Maracas.

id bet against that, these were made in WAY larger numbers than the maracas

I would've probably picked up two sets, but this was my last $20 before payday and I wanted Retro Atari Classics as well, so I just picked up 1 set with RAC and WarHawk for my filler. Thanks OP!

I don't even have Jungle Beat, but I may pick it up finally this weekend at BB thanks to this.

Got tired of checking Target for the $15 Donkey Konga set. I really only wanted the bongo for Jungle Beat anyway.

Fantastic. I ordered two, despite not owning any of the games that require them. I was one of those people who bought Samba de Amigo but wasn't willing to shell out so much cash for the maracas. Stupid, I know. Now, I can finally redeem myself and invest in some sweet peripherals. I can't believe how quickly in price these fell.
So, how long does Saver Shipping normally take?
I think they quote you 5-10 business days, so you don't get too excited. But it varies. I actually got my last order in 3 days, but I'm fairly close to the fulfillment center (Philly). But even from there it has occasionally taken 6 business days.

Cool, thanks. I was in such a mad rush to get my order through that I didn't even bother to check.
Dammit, jumped back to $15 before I got my order in. Cripes.
Back to 9.99

It is awfully tempting to pick up two sets and get DK2 for $15 after GGC at Best Buy.... $35 total for two controllers and a game?

I thought the GGC are now only for $30 or more games?
I thought the GGC are now only for $30 or more games?
Best Buy quite recently brought back the $5 off $20 (no system restrictions) coupon w/GGC. The card color is white, if I remember right.

I just got a set I ordered on the 22nd. Funny thing is I ordered another set the day before and then realized I wanted 2. I had to wait for them to come back in stock to order the second set - but it is the second set that got here first (because I ordered a different used game for free shipping). The first is still in transit.

With my EB credit (gotten recently using the $5 bonus deal) these Bongos cost me about $5 out of pocket. Pretty sweet... Now I can return the set I got at Target for $15. I had been waiting for them to drop to $7.48, but no need any more.

Now I just need to get a game to use these things with! Any ideas where cheap copies of any of the bongo games can be had?

Also, what exactly can you do with more than 1 set? I'm wondering if I shouldn't just keep the 3rd set. Can you use 3 at once? How does the play work in multiplayer (I've only ever tried the single-player in-store demos)? Or will 2 be sufficient? I have 3 little kids, though the youngest wouldn't do much more than bang the hell out of them :D.

By the way - these are still in stock as of right now...

Still debating getting these or not. Probably never going to get any cheaper, realistically.

And for a game... Donkey Konga 2 can be had for $15 after GGC at Best Buy, that's my goal.
*bump* back in stock :)
And mine were signed for at my apartment at 3:12pm. Beautiful. Took a whole 48 hours from order to delivery. Can't wait to beat on some bongos with my woman tomorrow night.

Hell, I'm even halfway interested in pulling out the NES and playing the Wheel of Fortune game I got as shipping fodder.

The multiplayer is either cooperative, with a line of the song for each set of bongos, or head to head, where it's a competition to score the most points.

I have 4 sets (the last one came from picking up DK1 for $25 after GGC & selling the game for $15), and they're lots of fun to use in multiplayer, and it's the real draw of the game.

I do recommend the GC extension cables for 'em, since the cables end up being a bit short to move back from the TV too far.

Nice! I just ordered 2 sets. I didn't want to miss out while I looked for free shipping material (after all, it'd only save me $1.50, right?), so I just placed the order. Best thing is that I had EB credit that had been sitting in my wallet for months now. Muchos Gracias to the OP!

By the way - I called a local EB and they are showing up as 35 bucks a piece.

Oh man, I caved. Caved big time. Went ahead and bought two sets. The clincher? Deal got posted on Joystiq.com, and fear that it would be gone soon welled up so fast in me that I bought them before I knew it. It's not that I wasn't - I like rhythm games, and this was gonna be bought soon anyways. It was a matter of when.

Now to get the game...

I read that really fast and thought it said "And mine were signed for at my apartment at 3:12pm. Beautiful. Took a whole 48 hours from order to delivery. Can't wait to beat on my woman tomorrow night."
