is "Xbox 360" a good name or a shitty name?
what do you guys think?
personally, I think its total crap, xbox next, nextbox, xbox 2, xenon, any of those would've been better
 
i forgot who said it best, but im not refering to it as the xbox360, ill just say the nex xbox, or just plain xbox
 
I hope this isn't it as well. Sounds stupid, I feel stupid even saying it. Xenon woulda been badass, but I knew that wouldn't be it, since they want to build off of the Xbox brand.
 
I really don't like this name. It's like others have said, Microsoft trying too hard to be "cool" Xenon or Xbox 2 or something simple like that would've been the best choices IMO for a new name.
 
it seems to me like xenon is the "look, we're cool" name. Even though they both suck. Maybe Xbox:the Next Generation. or XtremeBox. See, there are always worse choices.
 
fuck the X bullshit. that was part of the fad that Surge started. everything had to be Xtreme. fuck it. extreme deodorant? extreme butter, extreme cookies? thats fucking stupid. name it Microsoft's Second Attempt at a Console.
 
it could be called "turdcutter of the future" for all I care - think about how lame the word "Playstation" is....it doesn't matter to me, so long as it is a good system.

360 is a complete circle, back to where you started. If anything, it should be called 180.
Personally, I like "NextBox". But, as long as the games are cool, all I really care about is the system's price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (hey, I'm a CAG!)

thats all in theory though, an earlier post stated how much work it is to make a system BC, but i as well am hoping for BC in the future XBOX360, which the name is starting to grow on me
 
I'm impartial too it. It's just any other name they could've came up with. So long as it's not something silly like Bill's Love Box, it doesn't matter to me.
 
Even though I really don't care what the name is, I think Xbox 360 is a good way to describe the machine if it delivers on its promises. It implies that the machine can do it all - TV, music, movies, and games.
 
If their reasoning for the name Xbox360 is that it's BC, that seems kind of lame. So far we know the Revolution is BC and you know Sony will choose to be BC as well. So the 360 wouldn't be saying anything that really seperates it from any other system. At least the N64 had something to say with it's number (something gay anyway). I just hope they don't give games names like "Halo 360".
 
Who gives a crap? Most system names sound completely stupid at first but once you get used to them you don't give it a second thought. Playstation 2? Dreamcast? Gamecube? Xbox? Colecovision? Atari 5200? They all sound ridiculous.
 
At first I wanted the name to be Xenon, but now I've gotten used to Xbox 360. It's not as bad of a name as people make it out to be.

I would be more inclined to buy it earlier if it was Bill's Love Box. Because if it can gratify a man with as much money as him...

but really, i could care less what it is called. as long as the price drops to a reasonable level within a year after release, i will be happy
