CAGiversary!
I was very surprised that there was no release date for the 360 at E3. I don't ever remember a console launch 4-5 months out with no firm date. Seems to me that 9.9.99 was going to be the DC launch date for all of 1999. Of course, there's the opposite, the surprise launch of the Saturn. In this age of ultra marketing hype why no date?
Why no pricing? No firm slate of launch day titles. No slate of launch "window" titles. No information on pricing for titles beyond the $59.99 (Good God, I hope not.) posted on Gamestop and EB.com for every title yet mentioned in the gaming press. No pricing or even availability of console extras. Are we going to be able to get the 40GB or 60GB HD's at launch? Will those HD's have any extra capabilites? HDMI or DVI support?
Any way to migrate Xbox HD contents to the 360? This is something I've really wondered since I have 120+ games and 100+ songs for custom soundtracks.
It just seems to me that after seeing the E3 press conference MS surrounded the 360 in a black hole of mystery and secrecy. There has been no information in the 6 weeks since E3 about any of the questions poised, yet not answered, at the MTV and E3 introductions.
I know I may just be impatient but this doesn't seem to be the best way to hype what arguably is the biggest consumer electronics product introduction of the year.
