Does Gamestop still do this??

Do they let you trade in a scratched game for the same game but used? Like if I tipped my 360 while playin Madden (which I have done before!) and it gets that circle scratch on it, can i take it in and get a used copy of Madden for free? (well not for free but i trade the scratched one for the used one)

If you bought it used, you can say it doesnt work and that they sold it that way and exchange it for another one.

I'm not familiar with the policy if you bought it new

If you bought it new, you're screwed. But if you bought it used and within a week, you can take it back(if you didn't buy the 1 year warranty). Other than that, just buy another used copy, swap the disc and take it back within a week.

Well, either you do what I said(swapping out copies) or buy another copy, new or used. I don't think they'll let you trade it in for another copy, that'll just raise some questions.

What I'm understanding is you bought the game from a store that's not gamestop and you want them to just exchange your scratched copy for another?

Sorry, but I highly doubt they do that.

nevermind... jus called up there to see for myself and they have NO copies left of the game i want. so is there some type of cd scratch remover out there? (a good one that actually works?)

You can get it professionally resurfaced; avoid disc doctor

You can buy a used copy then return it with the broken one.

Just spend the $1 at a used CD/DVD store to get it resurfaced and NOT scam the stores with swapping a bad disc for a good one.

to trade in the game for one of the same type after 14 days you have to have purchased the one year "protection thing" that is either 1.99 or 3.99 i forget.
