Okay, here's the scenario:
I went into the store with three new games of the same title that I had purchased at Best Buy at a discount. I did not really want these games, but since they were really cheap I decided to go into Gamestop to see if I could trade these NEW games in for USED credit. I didn't even care if it was only for the $5 each I paid for them, I just wanted something else. The associate I spoke with who I assumed to be the store manager was EXTREMELY rude to me saying that I must have stolen the games from Best Buy. Upon showing him the reciept, he was extremely argumentative saying he was doing me a FAVOR by taking the games in for the used price. There was also a sale going on that said "Trade in 3 games and get $10 in bonus credit!" The guy then said there was no way he could give me the $10 extra dollars because I was already "ripping the store off as it was".
How am I ripping the store off? So if I bought the games for $10 each and I lost $2 each off, then that would be okay? Who is he to say that I was ripping the store off? I was giving the store three NEW SEALED games for only $8 in credit each that Gamestop sells for $30 new and $26 used. What if three of my relatives gave me the same title and I just wanted to get something else? I don't know if I'm ridiculous for thinking this, but I just find is dumb that they would think this way and think they were losing money.
Am I wrong? Does it really matter how much I paid for them? I don't think it does. Regardless of what I paid, the store gives a certain amount of credit. I think they should stick by that.
