~DONE - SHIPPING UPDATE 11/17~ nathansu's *LOWBALL*

Sorry for the super late update, I've been out of town for a week on emergency family stuff. I'll have the last packages out in the next few days.

I'm assuming you're upgrading everyone's shipping, seeing as you're just now shipping packages out two weeks after people paid? I understand that family emergencies come up, but the shipping was already dramatically delayed from when people paid.

For most people they chose priority to begin with. The rest chose cheap shipping because it was cheap. I was already paying for packaging in most cases, so I figure that's enough of the bill for me to foot.

This lowball was *all* of my games. Even without the few time-outs I had to take from shipping, you can't seriously expect me to ship all of it within a week. Life happens, I apologize for that.

I don't want to rip you considering you've had stuff to deal with, but let's be frank. How do I really know know you had stuff to deal with? That is a real question; not a cast of doubt.

Secondly; You'll have the packages out in the next couple of days? You should have the packages out today unless you are geographically unable to do so. CAG is a community, but your lowball is a business. You will get the benefit of the doubt because this is CAG, but at the same time you had some firm demands in your rules section including negative feedback if not contacted within 4 days of auction end. It has been 2 weeks since I have heard anything from you.

Because I've been at CAG for quite a long time with a fine reputation.

Regardless of my real life issues I can't put my job on hold to ship packages all day. That's just not realistic.

I've dealt with a bunch of you and it's been a pleasure. Most of you have been totally fine to deal with. But the select group of some of you who have tried to haggle their way out of shipping costs, complain about how slow I am to respond (regardless of dealing with like 200 items), or in general are just jerks about the whole process.

After this I won't be dealing with CAG any longer. I busted my ass to get the majority of you games for *way* under what I could have gotten for them in most cases because I loved the interaction I've had with CAG over the years. I felt my entire collection should have a place with gamers who'd enjoy the games. Now my opinion has completely changed. I busted my ass to get this lowball done for everyone here - the least I can expect is if I need to pause things due to real life issues you'd understand that.

Regardless, all the rest of the games will be out shortly. For those of you who understand that shit in life *does* come up, I thank you for your understanding. For those who don't, I hope real life never interferes with any of your CAG shipping.

Dude. Just face it. You should have told people something when you went AWOL for 1.5 weeks. Myself included.

Like I said, because it is CAG, you will receive the benefit of the doubt. I would like to see you get the same treatment on ebay. I believe I can speak for others when I say we just wanted to know what was up with the shipment of our items. I'm sure most of us could have dealt with the delay if we were informed of it.

Never claimed I shouldn't have said something. Having to fly out of state to deal with family shit doesn't exactly put "NOTIFY CAGs OF IMPENDING SMALL DELAY" at the top of my list.

Sorry if I was a little harsh on my previous comment - I do understand that things happen. Earlier this year I had to rush up to my parent's house because my dad was having emergency open heart surgery. I also had to push off some business, which the client was very understanding when I told him the night I left.

I think people are just more so upset because it has felt like communication has been kinda lax at times, but what's in the past is in the past. All I'm asking is that you communicate from here on out as you do get those last packages out.

My guess is that the *p* means that those packages are packed, so that is good to see. Either way, I'm looking forward to the DS and have no hard feelings.

Why can't we be friends? :)

I'm not arguing this isn't *my* communication failure - it is. I'm just a bit pissed that when I do get back people start up the lynch mob. Shit happens in life sometimes.

I'll send the mob to another castle - maybe we can give Mario a hand. And hey - if the princess isn't there, then that toad deserves what he has coming to him...that'll teach him to taunt us 7 times...
Thanks for getting my packages shipped out bro, boo on no tracking though

Would you be able to PM me the customs #?
I *may* still have it, I don't remember whether I tossed it or not. I'll check when I get home tonight.

Communication is key...

Let this be a lesson to all those who plan to have low balls in the future.

There's no point in flaming back and forth.

Let him get the packages out, and if you're unhappy in the end, that's why there's a feedback system.
The OP already stated that he's done trading here, once this is over, so you can use your feedback as you choose.
Lowballs require lots of patience, and a lot more time than people realize. They're good for selling tons of items quickly, but not if you're looking for maximum profit.

-Let's get this one over with, and complete *for everyone's peace of mind*.

Hey - that's why I said "why can't we be friends?" There's no point in rioting over it. Now let's move on to speculating what the next "Duke Nukem Forever" will be.

My money's on "Duke Nukem Forever."

Ya, i commented to see what's up not to flame. Let's really face it - whatever games you bought you got at a great price, and you are going to get your games. He clearly is an honost guy, and shit happens. How could you possibly ask for priority shipping, I mean he would loose money if he did that. Lowballs are an awesome part of cag and a great way to build backlog, did you really not have something to play while he was missing?

I know lowballs are time consuming, i had over 115 items on my last one sell, and i work 14 hour shifts, go to school full time, and have 2 kids. All of my packages were mailed within 48 hours of receiving payment. how? waiting at the mailbox for the mailman, and dumping them in the back of his truck. had around 70 packages, it takes a lot of organization and preparation so i feel your pain with the time and availability.

I understand that family and life issues happen and have no problem waiting, but you cannot expect people not to be upset when you are here and communicating all the way through until after you get paid then have 2 multi day delays back to back with no word, the expectation of rules for the buyer should extend to the seller as well.

I am not upset and have no problem with waiting as I have beaten both games and am up to my fun factory in backlog right now, just saying that expectation should match action.

Let me sum up all the rage in this thread for you :

Buyers : You went away for almost a week with no response. You should have contacted us. Thus, you're 99 different types of an asshole.

Me : I should have communicated better and your frustration is justified, but bad RL shit just happened to have popped up during my shipping phase. The entire reason I did this at CAG was because *I've been a part of the community for years and wanted my games to go to actual gamers, and that dealing with CAGs in the past has been awesome*. After this experience with people raging on me, I won't be on CAG any more after this. I think that's justified - a few choice people have been huge jerks prior to the shipping phase and a good number have been ridiculously unreasonable afterwards.

I understand people are frustrated that I had a shipping delay and didn't communicate the best. That does not justify the accusations, nor the responses I've gotten in this thread. I've been a member of the community for a long time, there's no reason for a CAG to treat another like this (especially one with a perfect track record).

In either case I shipped a large batch today, will get the DCs in the thread tomorrow.

Woo hoo - I made the cut! Thanks for the shipment man. As I noted before - I have no hard feelings about anything. I'm happy everything has worked out in the end.

Bump. Please do ship my stuff soon or let me know why it still hasn't shipped.

Edit * Paypal dispute opened on 11/29*. Tired of waiting. Refund or ship please.

I did move between then and now. Has anyone heard anything? I don't want to open a dispute but I'm really starting to wonder.

I'm sure he's about to type a message to explain the situation. He responded to the claim saying he shipped last week. However, I will only close it after I get the DC #. It's nothing personal at this point. I just want the items or my money. End of story.

Yeah - the packaging leaves a little bit to desired too....he shipped a DS in a simple mailer envelope....barely was lined with bubble wrap(the envelope that is.) The DS was just loose in there. Thankfully, it seems to be unharmed. Either way, I'm sorry for those who were left behind in the shipping - I was happy just to get the DS finally.

Lagged on shipping some of the last things, but the majority were sent out before I went out of town last week. Everything shipped, DC #s in the main thread for all.

I won't be checking CAG any longer after this post *wave*.

Not to sound like an ass, but I waited over a month, and got little to no contact from you. No response to e-mails, nothing, But, you had logged in, you had bumped up your Ikaruga, etc. Other people were kept waiting as well.

Things come up, things happen. All you had to do was state that. Get someone to log online for you and explain that hey, there is going to be a delay. Instead, we were left to have to file complaints with Paypal.

I became very eager to expedite all of my shipping after being treated the way I was by *certain people*.

Which have been resolved.

Cya CAG, it was a nice place while it lasted I suppose. Mods just remember people who flip out about minor (to begin with) shipping delays due to RL issues only shoo good people off of the site.

Really? I gave you the benefit because this is CAG. Had this been ebay or similar I would've filed a claim 2 weeks ago.

It's simply unacceptable to ship an item a month after receiving payment. Then, to pretend that you're taking the high road with that attitude is just really classy. Good luck in the rest of your life with that type of thinking.

I don't think anybody will miss you.

its so ridiculous that people should have to wait more than a week after paying for their items(i waited like 2 weeks for my package and i paid the night the lowball ended).

im pretty sure it has to do with people winning items and then waiting over 2 or 3 days to pay.

dont bid in lowballs if you dont plan to pay a day or two after it ends.

and dont have lowballs if you dont plan to actually ship the items as if they were your own.

edit: i forgot to mention that nathansu threw my 5 (super mint) DC games in a medium sized priority box with nothing inside but the games(no foam, bubble wrap, ect.)!

WTF!?

the games were all ok, but god damn, his retarded step brother must have packed them.

i didnt say anything when i received them because i figured id let it slide, but ill just jump on the band wagon now.

i guess its irrelevant, but ill never buy from this kid again.

Sounds similar to my packing - a Nintendo DS system in a small bubble wrap mailer - very little protection in there at all. Thankfully, she purrs like a kitten.
