Downloading onto DS?

You know how some games have puzzles you can download for free? Well i dont have a wifi connection. Is there a USB slot on DS that i can use my LAN adaptor i have for Wii to download stuff? Or would i have to buy that Wifi adaptor to plug into my PC to connect to the net using a DS? Sorry i dont have one yet, just thinking of getting one. Also do i need a memory card, or would it download the puzzles to the game itself?

The DS does not have a slot for memory cards or usb drives. It can either connect ad-hoc (local multiplayer) or through wireless internet connection. I would recommend a wireless router instead. You can get a router for about the same price as the dongle and you'll definitely get more out of it.

Download play refers to those games that actually have that function. You would have to have another person with a download play enabled game within your vicinity (ad-hoc) to get that "free" trial game.

You will need the Wifi Adapter or a wireless router. It will work with your DS and Wii. The puzzle probably download to the game because DS doesn't have a conventional memory card.

U could try and scare up a Wi-fi connection at your local coffee shop, or McDonalds.

i bet your some of your neighbors have wifi, if their network isnt secure you could prolly use it?

all the McDs are supposed to be DS Wifi Spots. There was this big partnership a while back. It's a hassle for me to get to McDonalds but when I did try way back when it worked.
