Dr Thunder................

Dr Thunder is a brand of cola produced for Wal-Mart stores. It is canned by the Cott Corporation at facilities located throughout North America. In 2009, Wal-Mart notified Cott that it would no longer be the exclusive supplier of store-brand sodas for Wal-Mart stores.
Dr Thunder was originally called "Southern Lightning," but the name was changed to reflect the striking similarities to Dr Pepper. The label of Dr Thunder has recently been redesigned to say that "You've never been deep, until you've been Dr Thunder deep."

sadly no codes for me yet anyone live in NJ and see these drinks out yet?

Im in Ohio and have seen none of these specialty marked DrPepper bottles or cans. The ones here have something on them about winning a scholarship.

I can't believe there are actually people that've never heard of Dr. Thunder! It's freaking awesome. Probably one of the best knockoffs ever.

Agreed. Now Mountain Lightning on the other hand, that's not a good knockoff at all...

Exactly and I can't really figure out why they can't make a good Dew knockoff. I think that Dew would be a relatively easy soda to produce a cheap version of.

7-Elevens have a lot of these. Go to any convenience store with high turn over of inventory and they will have these. I have picked up 6 (I only go for diet) but they had tons of non-diet promo bottles (20 oz ones).
Mine too in Cary, NC
We have those here as well. I've only been able to find mine at Grocery stores (So far Kroger and Save-A-Lot). I don't hit convenience stores that often, but I've had good luck with them with other promotions.

question for you guys when you redeem the codes can you select what you want from the free stuff or is it a crapshoot on what you get. I'm just asking because I hate dr. pepper but will buy 3 or 4 marked bottles so I can have codes for the ME DLC.

Good luck to everyone else. I've been to all three 7-11s in my city, and they all have the older promo bottles. I even tried to peak towards the bottles in the back, and they all appeared to be older, as well.

You get to select what you want.

FYI, I found that after using the code and cashing it in at EA's site, I then had to go (at ea's site) to my order history and there I found the download option for the Sims 3 stuff I picked. Weird. Moreover, you then have to install the stuff into the Sims 3 game, it doesn't just get added after you download it with the Sims 3 launcher application. What a stupid design. Plus it turns out you still have to buy the stuff within the game (with fake money). I guess that's fine, but it's not quite what I was expecting. I did end up playing Sims 3 for the first time in months, though.

I'm getting ready to go Save-A-Lot(Oneida TN) in a few minutes, I'll look and see what they have if not I'll keep checking Wal-Mart, Walgreens, & the gas stations. If I find any I'll let you guys know just in case you want to send some PayPal my way and have me pick a few up bottles, you can have the codes and I'll drink the Dr Pepper in exchange ;) LOL.

I'd definitely be interested in this service. :>

Just went to Wal-Mart and picked up a few Diet Dr Peppers with the special cap. I've let all my friends know that drink Dr. Pepper to save the caps so any extras I have I will post on here, first come first serve.
Question about these caps, does it tell you what you will receive or is it random?
The code under the cap gives you a point on the site, which you can use for anything available.

Sorry no bottles/codes yet, I checked Save-A-Lot & one gas station today. I'll try to check Walgreens, Wal-Mart, or anywhere else I get a chance to stop at this weekend.

I thought about sending in a few SASE in for the free(well 44 cents) codes but it always takes a month or longer to get them back if at all so I'll hold out & keep checking around. ;)

I got screwed out of a code redemption tonight. I entered a code and it was accepted and it said I had one entered code. So I clicked to go to EA's site to redeem it and it said there was an error. I ended up back at the drpepper.com site but now my code was gone. I tried to reenter it, but of course it said it was already activated.

The system they have set up for this is pretty dang crappy. I did send them a support request with the code and what happened. Hopefully they'll restore my credit.

I almost hate to admit this, but i work at a grocery store, in Michigan. (where we have bottle deposit) And I'm trying to score as many tops as i can off returned bottles in the back. So i may post a few codes after the mass effect dlc goes live (to make sure i have it all first)

I got the same error. I think if you check your "Code History", it should say something to the effect of "More Info". You can then choose your game. I think. That's what worked for me, but I didn't redeem my code because I'm waiting for the Mass Effect 2 stuff to go up.

I have completely given up after checking countless grocery stores, walmarts, pharmacies, gas stations etc...

None of them have it! If they have ANY Dr. Pepper it's the ones shaped like a football with the $1,000 tuition contest. Apparently no one here drinks Dr. Pepper.

My Walmart started carrying the bottles this morning.
Found them near the checkout counters (cold case) for $1.48 & inside the vending machines for $1.25

Now I gotta stop by the vending machines in town that randomly drop bottles for a quarter (and continue until empty).
:bouncy:

Yeah I found these bottles easy, but I dont drink the Dr Pepper

I accually have been trying to find this place with these cups that have Star Trek Online codes for a space shuttle...and NO LUCK!
someone needs to buy all the damn country sweepstakes bottles at my local stores
That's all we have here too. I've been searching for these since I heard about them.........nada.

del taco is giving a free trial code for star trek and a shuttle code when you upgrade to macho.

Yeah, use the links now and save yourself the trouble LMAO. I love mistakes like this... I guess it would be worth heaing what the Skate 3 DLC is.

Damn. I would have liked to have gotten the Terminus Armor. By far the coolest looking exclusive armor, but I wasn't about to pre-order from Gamestop just to get it.
The FREE Mass Effect 2 DLC is now dead. I guess someone over at MS goofed :)
This sucks, the damn bottles aren't even in the wild down here yet. :bomb:

I can't find these caps and I want the Mass Effect 2 DLC! UGH! I missed out on Microsofts mistake by minutes! So frustrating!

Yea the links are dead now except for one, which might be dead now too.

Anyways, I take it the ME2 stuff is on the Dr. Pepper site now?

Still not up yet. I'm going to pickup a couple bottles of Dr Pepper tonight on the way to pick-up ME2 at midnight and enter the codes tomorrow.

I want to stress to those that feel they missed out on the "free" Mass Effect 2 stuff, this is just the data needed to use it. My experience with Dragon Age has shown me that regardless if you have it downloaded you will most likely need it activated on your ea.com account or it isn't worth anything.
