Waiting for sub-$20 on TWEWY. As much as I'd like to support a bold new IP from Square, I'm just not sure I'd enjoy the gameplay based on what I've seen and read. But if the new MSRP is $30, a Deal of the Day could put it in $15 range. I think that's the right amount of risk for this cheapass.
TWEWY is AWESOME. Easily the must-have handheld game. Get it get it get it! I love mine. And the "message" isn't annoying either. So, further praise, buy it, etc.
I know TWEWY is a good game, I mean 47 reviews on amazon and a five-star? any game with that rating must be good. But I played like 2 hours and I haven't got into it. for those who have finished the game, exactly how long do you need to keep up until it really gets going? or this game is just not for me?

It depends how far into the story you are... big enough spoilers ahead..
There are three weeks.
IMO, week 1 is boring, week 2 is fun, week 3 is awesome, and the after clearing the game stuff is good too. If you have finished w2 and do not like it, probably not for you.

I haven't played the early game in a long while. but by the end of the first week you should be well into the stride of the game. You have to realize there are so many pins and they evolve differently. I played for weeks on one or two days just leveling up my pins and it's scalable so while in many RPGs grinding gets annoying because you become so much more powerful than the enemies it makes battles a tedious exercise with this game if it ever becomes too easy you can make it harder and that keeps things interesting plus you can try out various combos...then you get to work on controlling the top screen and the bottom in tandem.
So when your partner Shiki can block and jump and you have about 15 or so different battle pins the game should start getting interesting. Plus you can work in the clothing as well.

Thank goodness. I was actually thinking this game would go out of print before a drop would hit. I hope it's permanent at Amazon. But man... is this going to be an indicator for the just released CT DS? I'm going to be waiting for a while.
