I don't think there will be any problems using the Japanese DS3 because it's not region coded and stuff. And I think this is my first time posting a deal.

P.S.: I don't think the price is that bad. The Sixaxis currently costs $50. So I think the Dual Shock 3 will cost $60.

I highly doubt that the dualshock 3 will be $70 when it comes to the states. This is for people that can't wait. Unless this drops down to around $50, I aint touching this.

I think the DS3 will cost about $60 in the states.

Thats price of the six axis I highly doubt, a six axis with rumble is going for less. Maybe not 70 but I bet they ask 60 for the first 6 months.

The sixaxis has been been $40 bucks on Amazon for as long as I can remember. I sincerely hope the dual shock 3 will not be more than $50.
Looks like SONY is making the gamer pay for their license fuck up. Just another reason to hop on the Wii60 bandwagon.
Xbox 360 wireless controllers cost $50 same as the Sixaxis. The Dual Shock 3 will cost about $60 atleast for 6 months or so.

That is still $10 SONY should swallow. Their dumbasses thought motion was more important or they needed it to compete with Nintendo, yet Nintendo gave us both. SONY made the mistake of not wanting to pay for a stolen license and now that they see the gamer wants rumble they're going to make the gamer pay for their marketing mistake.

I completely agree with you. But I still need to get my hands on this. lol. I've been waiting months to play offline multiplayer and now I can.
Is YesAsia a reputable company?
yeah its pretty popular.

the D3 better not be more then 55 when it comes out, the 360 controller HAS RUMBLE and is only 50.

This thread is lame. The SixAxis will more than likely drop to $39.99 or they will just stop making them and just let the stock empty out like they did with the 60 GB PS3s. The Dual Shock 3 will be $49.99 so please stop saying $59.99 like it's the right answer. They are using Dual Shock 2 motors for fucks sake in them for the rumble so it's not going to cost much more to make them.

Plus, this is the import price which obviously translates to: Please, please fuck me in the butt.
The Dual Shock 3 will cost about $60 atleast for 6 months or so.
Stop talking. You're pulling all of this shit out of your ass with nothing to support it other than an importer's high prices. As far as everybody here is concerned, Sony will drop the price of the Sixaxis and charge $50 for the DS3. That makes much more sense.
Looks like SONY is making the gamer pay for their license fuck up. Just another reason to hop on the Wii60 bandwagon.
Great idea! Now I can suffer from Nintendo's shortsightedness and not have a rechargable battery in my controller! Now I get to pay for batteries every week for my $50 360 controller and my $60 Wiimote/nunchuck combo! What? I can pay $20 for a play and charge kit that's built in to my PS3 controller for free?! Sign me the fuck up!

QFT... and bitterness.

WTF is up with you? I never said those were facts you idiot. Read my previous posts and you'll see.

And it does make sense but IMO it's not going to happen. IMO Sony will keep selling Sixaxis' for $50 until they are no longer available. When that happens, Sony will drop the price of the DS3 IMO. That's what I think will happen. It's business you jackass.

I don't agree with their price (nothing confirmed yet) but I have to buy one and I don't want to wait until they come out in the US. I'm not sure when that will happen though. But my guess is in 5 months or whenever MGS4 is released.

man, if you want it buy it, if not quit bitching about it......

Spring is a long time to wait for the DS3 if you want rumble. This is the cost of importing, get over it.

Or you could, you know, put rechargeable AAs in your controller. Best of both worlds: you have the ability to recharge your batteries and you're not tied to some bullshit proprietary battery. When your rechargeable battery fails to hold a charge, and ALL rechargeable batteries eventually die, you can very easily just put in new rechargeable AAs.

Using any other kind of battery is madness.

Bleh, I'll wait for NCSX and see how much they'll have it for, likely around the same price, but they're my gaming import store.

I don't want to shock you or anything, but importing a controller costs more than just buying one from a local store.

I'll be shocked if they DS3 costs more than $50 when it's released in the states.

I think the D3 will cost $50. I mean, it would be so bad from a marketing standpoint to have it cost $20 more than the 360 controller.

Jesus. well, i'm glad I don't plan to play many multiplayer games on my PS3. 1 Six Axis is plenty for me. But fuck...haven't they realized that people are already steering clear of their machine because it costs a boatload? They think this'll make things better?

haha im PRETTY sure theyll lower the price if the existing 6axis, it would only make sense. for your "its business" point of view, it wouldnt make too much sense because if lets say the D3 is $60 and the 6AX is $50, no one would buy the 6AX cause itd be only $10 diff and theyd NEVER sell the 6AX if the price was only $10/$15 diff. Just my idea anyways... but never know u could be right with sony on the marketing strategy crack right now :bomb:

Just another reason the SONY controller is flawed. At least with removable recharging units on the Wii/360 my hardware is more useful. Whereas if the SONY controller dies I have to buy a new piece of hardware, cheaper than buying multiple battery/packs, but the old controller is useless. I'd prefer buying batteries/packs than multiple pieces of hardware. Regardless of the cost of this new fucking controller SONY screwed up and took the wrong gamble with the functionality choices of its product. Good thing I'm waiting on my PS3 purchase that way I get the controller bundled.

You say that like the PS3 controller fails fairly often, when in reality by the time the battery fails the PS4 will be out.

And no, it's not flawed (at least in that sense). The Wii/360 controllers are. When I was playing Condemned my controller died. Unlucky for me I didn't have any other batteries so I couldn't even make the controller stay alive long enough to get to another save point or anything.

With the PS3 when the low battery message comes up I just plug it in to the PS3 and continue playing.

If a 360 dies do I have to buy a new one? No, Microsoft replaces it.

Didn't mean to sound like an asshole (fully aware I did anyway), I'm just telling it like it is.

Well here's hoping they fix that annoying desyncing issue that plagues a lot of the current ps3 controllers. I can't take playing a game and then having the controller act all wonky and weird on me.
Looks like SONY is making the gamer pay for their license fuck up. Just another reason to hop on the Wii60 bandwagon.
Looks like SONY is charging only 5500 Yen (about $47) for the DS3. Just another reason to spend $60+ on a Wii controller set and pay out the ass for batteries!

fuck this price, especially, for a feature that should have been included in the first place. Also, as others have mentioned, no rechargeable battery packs. Bullshit.
play asia had them for pre-order for $60....

still too much for something they should have had at launch
QFT.

I really want one of these, but I'm going to wait until a US price is finalized, etc. etc. before I pick one up. I really wish they took care of this beforehand.

not worth it. i agree with some people here, i bet the US version will be $50 when it comes here and the SIXAXIS version will drop down to $40. i'll wait.

Yeah but the 360 and Wii controllers have an additional feature the PS3 controller doesnt have, you can play games with them. ;)

This is only worth it for people that want the ceramic white, as I doubt thats gonna be available here in the States.

As for people bitching about the higher price, things that come to you from Hong Kong usually cost a little bit more than things that come from Walmart. Thats why free shipping is nothing to sneeze at.

If I had a ps3, I would be sorely tempted to get a white one.
