for those asking about cbla i think it was on giantbombs podcast where it was mentioned that ms is having another conference specifically for xbla.

Also apparently 360 games are soon to be put up for digital dist. for $20. They are older titles like mass effect.

Hey everyone first time poster

but i really liked the trailers from the 360 but to much time wasted on pointless uninterested things

i realized that im going to be spending 700 bucks from now till decemeber on games lol
 
I'm really excited about the last.fm integration. I have a pretty good channel on that site that rarely supplies music I don't like and listening to that through the 360 while I play puts a smile on my face.
 
Overall, I thought it was a nice little press conference. The Beatles game play showing has me more interested in the title, but I still will want a song list and an answer to the export question of all the songs. I'm not a major fan of a Halo fan but ODST with its non linear story looks like it could be quite awesome. Alan Wake looks like it could be a blast, but I want to see some more. MGS announcement will appease a lot of people, but I'm still kind of meh about it all. The motion controls by far is the most intriguing thing to come out of conference, and I want to see more of it.

Ahhh, damn it. I should have been more specific when I asked if I missed anything but I didn't see any chatter about it here or in the E3 thread in General Gaming.

Anything new/exciting for Mass Effect 2?
 
Wonder if last.fm integration will support scrobbling? I'd guess maybe from the radio stations you set but I didn't see anything about playing CDs or music you have ripped to the hard drive.

If not that stinks, that's pretty much all I use last.fm for. Not a big deal though.

Did you watch the press conference? Valve is one of their partners. That's why. Same reason why some people thought they might show more L4D2.
 
I'm sort of shocked Valve hasn't been seen yet. Surely they would've shown something during the EA event, right?

Shepard's alive and still the main character, everyone thinks he died on a mission, Joker is back, there's something stronger than the Geth, and Shepard was wielding what looks like a shoulder-mounted mini-nuclear warhead.

And I would agree. What really could they put in there with what's been announced? It would be safe to say that most of the things in Orange Box 2 would be stuff that has already been released, because as a stand alone, new games would make more money.

But I am also disappointed and shocked that there was nothing concerning the new Battlefield games.

I don't see the big deal. Nintendo's trying to make kids be more active, and Microsoft is catering to the fat sloths. They're bringing Facebook, Twitter, and last.fm on board.. shit, while we're at it, hook up with Vonage and let's make phone calls!

I'm intrigued by the AI/Milo/Natal whatever thing, but it looks just like an elaborate tech demo. Until I see how the average joe developer uses it, I remain very skeptical.

I keep asking people who claim to be disappointed or "unimpressed" but I never get an answer, I'm assuming you'll actually respond - what would you want them to show, then?

You're trying too hard.

MS press conference was a low point in their conferences so far. Where are the awesome unique XBLA games, the awesome exclusive ground breaking titles, surprise games we knew nothing about just showing up, etc.

All we got was sequel after sequel, more halo, twitter/facebook garbage (useless trash), a avatar racing game that looks like its as good as YARIS, etc etc.

I was expecting a lot more awesomesauce.

yeah because MGS coming to the Xbox wasn't surprising at all.
 
project natal isn't against the wii it's against sony's eye toy. the guy mentions the pre-programmed waggle thing because the people who play on the 360 hate the wii and it's a turn on for them to hear it [it was a marketing ploy] and it worked because of all the people who watched the video have commented on it with such awe. rofl on those people!

do you see the many similar ideas. not a wii target but a ps3 target.

ps3 is in deep crap! they pushed ms and ms pushed back with more money then what sony can dish out. ms took a lot from sony from their 1080p prestige from blu-ray to their eye toy device and to their social networking [home] with twitter and facebook. sony is in damn trouble. let's see what sony has for this e3 and see if it can compete. ms may kill sony, but then again, both of them are billion dollar industries so lets see where these two go. ms did heavy work in trying to kill sony, not nintendo, and they did a good job on it as they got one of sony's prestige that they had hold on to for so long, konami metal gear. this was like the last candle that was left lit on the ps3 and the 360 blew it and lit it on their candle.

Excellent press conference by MS. Alan Wake looks hot. The motion camera looks hot as well. I think Microsoft blew its wad a little early though since the Beatles was the biggest media spectacle possibly of the whole show. The new MGS should be neat too.

I don't care about the new Halo, twitter, or facebook though (that makes one).
 
I'm just happy about left 4 dead 2....I don't care if it's multi-platform or whatever, I can't wait
