E3 2010 Highlights & Web Stream Guide

Just got done watching the Microsoft conference. After watching it my first prediction is that the new number one cause of death for children will be mauling by animals. That has to be the worst game I have ever seen. Not only did they not announce a price point for shitbox, but Amazon has all of the first party games listed for $59.99 seperate!! Not only that but gamestop has shitbox listed for $149.99 along with each game being $59.99. The only shitbox game that seemed interesting is that one by ubisoft where you are being stalked by the Predator as you work out. I was just waiting for an Alien to pop out of my trainers chest during game play. That Star Wars shitbox game looked horrible, it just seems like you do a few small body movements than the game moves you. Not only that the storm troopers just walk right up to you and stand there waiting for you to slash them. But we all know that Lucas Arts would never milk a franchise right?

Nice to see ESPN 3 coming to 360. Now I know why ESPN dropped ESPN360 and just made it ESPN 3 they probably want to make the brand name stand out and not have it be assosiated with Microsoft. The only major word missing from announcing ESPN on the 360 was NFL. It would be nice to see Monday Night Football on the 360, but doubt it will be on it. Though I was hoping for a hulu announcement but oh well. Better than last years announcement of Facebook and Twitter.

I like the new 360 slim, its about time someone besides Sony does a console remodel, kudos for the wi-fi and hard drive expansion. Oh, and Microsoft is full of shit when they are saying this is X-Box's 10th year, X-Box will be Nine in November. Thats just like me adding 9 months to my life because I was "in development" before I busted out of the womb. Overall this conference was a Solid F for me, no new major gaming announcements, just major gaming gimmicks.

Also, a few posts back someone was complaining about not calling it a Metal Gear Solid game, its not part of the Solid series at all and Hideo seemed like he did not want to be part of the presentation. Its his studio but he made it clear that he "passed the torch" to someone else. The game will be good because its a Kojima Production, its just another universe in the Metal Gear series like AC!D.

OP is fully updated so that you can skip any of the BS and see whatever trailers or live gameplay you want. BTW, is anyone else having trouble viewing stuff from gametrailers? I was able to get links from them fine, but the videos never loaded. Now, I can't even access their site. :\
 
God, GT was so reliable yesterday and now their site just isn't responding at all. Guess I'll settle for IGN's stream.

Really hope Sony has some true surprises this time, like Jaffe's new game, otherwise today's outlook is bleak.

For what stream? IGN is the only one I can get right now, but the audio is garbage. I'm hoping that is fixed once Nintendo gets going, though. I can't believe GT is completely down right now. Very ominous way to start day two. . .

Their site has just consistently timed out for me every time I try. Not sure wtf is going on.

Poor Miyamoto is better at design than playing lol. He's really struggling to control Link and kill enemies.

Oh wait, that's just the horrible control of a Wii. . .

How is it that their motion controls are failing this badly? Miyamoto is getting like a 50% success rate on movement to action on screen. Brilliant time to fail.

They're just lucky Miyamoto is doing this because he's too lovable to hate on.

I'm gonna chalk it up to being on a huge stage for now.
 
I wonder if they are really having a wireless problem like they said... (If it worked for Apple) Either way, it's a new Zelda and if it plays well it should be fun. (Although, I'd much prefer it if they had a Classic Controller option)
