E3 2011: Sony edition. Conference starts at 8pm est/7pm cst!
You seriously thought MS had a better conference than Sony? Wow..I know most of your opinions I've seen tend to suck, but hot damn if this isn't the most ridiculous.

And you're obviously an idiot if you think the PSP only has 5 "really good games".

edit: thinking about your post more, You've reached troll status, just going to ignore the stupidity
Having an opinion that differs from the norm makes me an idiot in your eyes then so be it. Troll?? I post in like 3 threads on these entire forums dude. The psp had 5 really good games, both GoW, peacewalker, and ill give you two more. Don't get so upset dude, its not that deep.
Are you sure about that conference being the worst. That award goes to Nintendo in 2008 and Microsoft in 2011. Sony wasn't no where's near them. Go to youtube and educate yourself on a bad conference. Those videos will teach on the fine arts on how to really fuck up a conference.

All the games and announcement for the most part were leaked on all 3 platforms, minus some hardware details.

TM wasn't even shown, which means you really didn't see it in its entirety. Only on blurps on media coverage outside of the conference.

TV's don't make a bad conference. Just an added bonus.
I have only followed E3 the last two years. I was not saying worst ever, just of 2011. TM was shown front and center on the ps blog under E3 coverage.
Strongest was Nintendo, followed by Sony. Sony had some good stuff, but nothing that really "wow"'ed me.
I know everyone has a right to their opinion, but are you sure? Nintendo showed a new console without really showing a console--not once did you see the actual machine, or get any of the details. No games, just a bunch of tech demos and a controller. The press ate it all up because of the orchestra and Miyamoto, but then they all realized, after they got out of the conference, that they really had no clue what they just saw. Then, it comes out after the fact that we find out that the system is limited to one screen controller, the screen isn't multi-touch, and it will use "Proprietary discs" a.k.a. no DVD or Blu-ray ability. We also find out that the sizzle reel that was shown was not footage of the Wii U, but 360 and PS3 footage.

On the other hand, Sony shows of a freaking awesome handheld with all kinds of features and actual games. We found out the timeframe and the prices for the PSV--which everyone was happy when they found out how affordable it is. They showed some awesome footage of Uncharted 3, among other games.

I really don't understand how anyone could consider Nintendo's conference the best; unless if most was in your imagination, because they really didn't show much of anything.

I think Nintendo's was the best, followed by Sony. Both were pretty good in terms of content though. People are hating on the Wii U now, but once it comes out they'll have Nintendo's balls in their mouths again, guaranteed. Microsoft was just downright embarrassing.

Sony showed a lot of good PS3 exclusives, and the PS Vita looks nice. I'm more interested in new and original exclusive games than I am in stuff like Uncharted. There's a lot of potential there for some really cool stuff. That was the same exact problem with the PSP. Vita needs original content, not just games that will get ported back over to the PS3. Otherwise it's going to fade out in a year tops.

I think Nintendo nailed it and won, Microsoft came in 2nd and 3rd was Sony. Overall I think it was a nice E3 I saw it from my room.

Just like the Move in 2009.

Considering that it is getting released later this year, I'd sure hope so. That being said, what I mostly saw was rehashes of what is released for the PS3. It doesn't convince a guy who has been primarily a home console player to go mobile.

If Sony has a playable demo of Last Guardian they would have won hands down for me but after finally watching all of the conferences. All of them were pretty uneventful for me. Half of the stuff are things coming out within the year I didn't really see any new IP's that made me want to go out and throw a preorder down on.

I agree about the PS Move--Sony really hasn't found a way to market it. But I do appreciate that it's there. I will buy it when there's a bundle I care about, or if it's cheap.

That's the whole concept of the PSP/Vita--take the console experience with you. It also has the ability to do casual stuff, and a whole bunch of innovative social features. I don't know what else could be done with it that it doesn't do (other than the 3D and mobile phone service).

They showed the Vita, which is awesome, but none of the games they showed for it did I have any interest in. The features we already knew, and the only new thing was the price(which is awesome and better than the 3DS for price). I'm not real excited for UC3 either. Best/Most interesting thing about their conference was the 3D TV and Vita price. Don't care for God of War much, already knew of Ico/SotC collection, Bioshock project interesting but nothing shown, and exclusive Ps3 multiplat content is always "meh" from me.

Nintendo showed Luigi's Mansion 2(I've been waiting for a sequel), Super Mario 3D, Gameboy games from the store, free Four Swords, and the Wii U controller and Wii U future games.

Granted, I don't follow Nintendo news much (since I don't own a 3DS and my Wii is basically a paper weight) so maybe that was all announced earlier. I'm not saying they blew Sony out of the water, they were just slightly better.

I think that Sony's conference could have been better had they not announced the PSV (as NGP) months before the show. The grade that people gives to Nintendo's conference is mostly based on how impressed they were with the hardware. Also, Nintendo should have had the new Zelda on the Wiii U, and NOT the Wii....

No thanks. This game has been in development since 2008 or so. I want it now.

I think they were kind of forced to since the news was outed by several sources, and there was confusion about the difference between the PS Vita and the Xperia Play (PSP Phone). I really wish they would learn how to get binding NDAs that have severe penalties for violation, because it ends up screwing everything up.
Imagine the shit Nintendo would get for delaying Zelda for Wii-U? Man...
There's speculation about that, but it kind of conflicts with what they showed at E3--there was an HD Zelda teaser trailer, so it wouldn't be smart for them to delay both titles. But knowing Nintendo, they will get some wild hair and need to throw in some last minute crap.

I was going to wait for the Skyward Sword, but I just may get it because it comes with that Wii controller with the built-in Wii Motion Plus (I still don't have any of those). Although, I really don't know if I want to play another Zelda with all motion controls, so I may just skip it altogether.

in the WiiU video they actually showed it functioning with Zelda basically the controller had your inventory.;)

They pulled that crap with Twilight Princess and the fans remember that. Considering the big deal Nintendo is making for Zelda's anniversary, there was no chance of them delaying. That being said, I could see them doing an HD update at some point.

Not that it really adds anything to the game--since you'd probably have to pause anyway to look at it--but that would be cool if you could have the Wii Pad sitting next to you with the map or inventory, and use the regular Wii controller (that DS3 looking thing) and play your game that way. That Wii Pad looks super uncomfortable.
