EA Flash Deal: Dead Space 2

According to the EA Flash Deal facebook posting it appears Dead Space 2 will be a flash deal today. They are asking us if we are ready for it to go on sale.

UPDATE: Deal is not today but tomorrow. My apologies.

Tomorrow we are dropping 3 deals throughout the day for Dead Space 2. To unlock the first deal we need to get 3,000 likes of the “Your Mom’s Really Bad at Dead Space 2 Multiplayer” video before Friday at 11:30 AM PST. If we reach 3,000 likes the first deal will unlock at that time on Friday. (Thanks AVJTony831)

This deal is odd. It says for people that have purchased to tell them what you think of the game. So basically if u purchased the game what deal would they get? Strange promotion if you ask me.
 
Thanks for the heads up, I have it set to message my cell when they update their twitter but they haven't yet. I am so hoping to get a great deal on the PS3 CE!

Pretty sure it's just saying, "Since you guys don't really need a deal on this because you own it already, why don't you let the people who are going to benefit from this deal know what you think about the product?"
 
I NEVER play campaigns more than once. I usually play through and flip them before these lose too much value. As soon as I sold DS2, I was shocked that I started having remorse. This game is freaking awesome, and I'm anxious to buy it (a 2nd time).. hopefully there's a good deal on it!

I don't know but I played the PS3 demo and thought the graphics was pretty good and smooth framerate for a multiplatform PS3 game. Maybe the PS3 was the lead platform? Not sure. If the PS3 version still has the railshooter included, I'd get the PS3 version for sure.

According to Digital Foundry, it is the most identical multiplatform title yet. But, if you get it for the same console that you played Dead Space 1 on (and you still have a save file), you unlock a bonus skin for the Plasma Cutter. Not much, but it's something.
 
Guh... I NEED Dead Space 1! I have 2 but haven't opened it yet as I want to get the full benefit of a complete story.

Everything else being equal, I'd give the edge to the PS3 version for including Dead Space Extraction. It's also on a single disc, vs 2 on the 360.

That's a good point! Extraction is a pretty good game in its own right.

I was gonna say PS3 for extraction alone but the disc thing really tips it over to PS3 side. Happy that was the console I was originally collecting the series on :D

Good idea, don't bother trying to get it online. You can wait for the local store to price match it that way there's one less person trying to get the deal :applause: .
 
This is going to sound funny, but having two discs makes the hardcore achievement significantly easier on the 360 if you're into that kind of stuff. But honestly, it's not too hard to do on the ps3 either - but that extra reload point would have been nice.

If they do the typical 60% off then DS2 should clock in at $23.98 :bouncy:

I'm glad they have allowed gamers to have 3 opportunities to buy this game.

Yeah but think of all the promotion they get out of a handful of copies of the game that they let go without making a profit. Thousands of people "liking" something on Facebook which in turn shows up to all of their facebook friends. Plus it drums up interest for all the people who might have not paid much attention to the game but check it out and decide they want to and will try to get it for this price.

O I get it, it's called a FLASH deal as it doesn't last very long. Took me long enough :lol:. Well if it's like that, then $29.99 or less and I'm sold.
