IMPORTANT NOTE: some of the deals do not appear on the ad scan. A lot of them are listed on the back of the flyer coupon. For example Custom Robo for $9.99 is not listed anywhere on the ad scan, but its on the backside of the section that says "Hot Offers" and has a picture of the two pokemon videos and F-zero GBA.
FFX-2 is mine
EB Games actually had FFX-2 online for $9.99 for a couple of weeks last August/September (around the same time they had Silent Hill 3 for $9.99 as well).

Hey, OP: next time, use Imageshack to host the pics. There's no bandwidth limit with them. :)

I'm gonna get Omega Strain and Custom Robo, and maybe Avalanche (didn't like it as much as the original). Good deals.

I'm going to assume the $30 in trade in credit when you buy god of war is for three games. Thats not too bad. I should pick up FF X-2 while I'm there since I never seem to finish it when I borrow it.

I don't think that you quite understand. You are funny.

In case you were serious, the $30 is what one gets (in store credit) if one trades in God of War.
The games I want are not avaliable online and I hate going into the store. I hate the dumb bastards there.
I wished i lived near an EB.. (an hour away from B&M anything other than walmart and kmart)

I'm actually excited about this sale starting tomorrow. I'm curious as to what games my EB will really have. Is FFX2 worth it for someone that has never played a full-fledged RPG before?

-1080 Avalanche GC - $9.99
-Custom Robo GC - $9.99
-F-Zero GP Legned GBA - $9.99

I'm going to be all over those tomorrow!
I'm actually excited about this sale starting tomorrow. I'm curious as to what games my EB will really have. Is FFX2 worth it for someone that has never played a full-fledged RPG before?
I'd probably recommend other RPGs such as Chrono Trigger/Cross if you've never played a full-fledged RPG before or at least the first FFX.

Typically in the past when EB has offered credit vouchers, you had to purchase the items, then send in a MIR form with your receipt to get your credit. I plan on doing most of my purchasing online, so I need to download the voucher forms.

I know this doesn't start til the 15th, but does anyone have links to the vouchers/MIR forms?

Or, does anyone know if the forms are already in the B&M's.

I'm definitely going to get Hot Shots Golf Fore and Syphon Filter. I already have $43 credit on a gift card. These games will end up being free when I get the $40 in credit back from the two vouchers. Not one cent will come out of my pocket.

Can't beat free. :)

I agree... if you can look past the dated graphics, the Chrono series is absolutely wonderful- it's my favorite RPG series and Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are two of my most favorite gams of all time. FFX isn't bad, but it has been to streamlined to be a real full fledged RPG.

I think that EB will give you the voucher because they will have those flyer in store and those games will be advertised as free. So, I'm sure they'll hand them out then and there. Otherwise, you can probably get the forms online from their site but they won't be up until the offer goes live.

Just a quick note to those of you around right now. Syphon Filter is still 9.99 new on eb.com, so buy it now, add some used game, use the cag15, saver and edge card. Then go into EB in the next couple days, get the voucher form, and get $20 credit back for a $10 game. :)

It may not work, but it's worth a try to me. Besides, $9.99 isn't a bad price for this game new.

Good luck!
How do vouchers work for online purchases? What do you use instead of your receipt exactly?
Invoice from the box they mail you.
Stupid prices either A) aren't updated online, or B) this is B&M only.
C) They don't update their site in the middle of the night.

Site not updated yet...

EDIT: I remember when they had Second Sight for $10, the price was never adjusted online. It's not outside the realm of possibility that this sale could be B&M only.
It's not outside the realm of possibility that this sale could be B&M only.
I would be surprised if it wasn't B&M only.

I just called EBgames.com order telephone # on site (imagine that ;) ) and asked.

In store only. (B&M) Sucks, but I'll have to wait till Tues to get my game now.

And now you know, and knowing is half the battle. ;)

Thanks much.

*Ponders the chances of finding all the games I want at one store* Ugh.

Spy vs. Spy is already down to $15.

A lot of you are ravign about it but I haven'tr seen a review that has wowed me yet. :(

Dai is down to $14 too.

The Rebate Link for Syphon Filter is also online but they linked to the wrong damn voucher!

Hot Shots Golf Fore has the $20 rebate link (which goes to the wrong rebate!) up, but the price is still $30. I was under the impression that the price would fall to $20.

"it's a trap!!"

Fans of the original Spy vs. Spy games won't find anything worth playing in this Xbox update. But even if you don't know what the series is about, you aren't really missing anything. It would have been cool to maybe hear a remix of the classic music from the first Spy vs. Spy, and unlockable versions of the old games might have given this one some value to the nostalgist. But as an attempt at a modern third-person action game, Spy vs. Spy has nearly nothing to offer.

I picked up Syphon Filter and Custom Robo. My EB only had 1 Custom Robo and it was stickered at $39.99. They didn't have any F Zeros and 1 or 2 FFX2's. So if anyone is going to their local EB, I would suggest getting there sooner than later. Unless everyone buys online.

Wow, Custom Robo is sold out already online! Better run to your EBs!

DAMNIT!!!! Custom Robo was in my cart but went out as I was checking out. That was the only game I really wanted from this sale to, looks like I'm gonna have to waste precious gas money going to eb to get it.
Custom Robo online $9.99
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/241881.asp

That will save some a trip.
Damn, that was quick.

I put it in my cart, took a shower, came back and it was gone. It's now saying "The product you requested is currently not available. It may be out of stock, no longer available or we may be performing site maintenance, making it temporarily not available."

I guess I'll actually have to head out to EB.

some other sites scored it closer to 6... but yeah, sounds like they screwed the pooch on this one

Oh, thats BS. I checked the price early morning on Custom Robo and it showed up for 19.99 (didnt add it to cart though) now its OOS. These prices are good instore too right?

EDIT: NVM read earlier post. Will check B&M

Does EB games have a price guarantee? I bought Spy VS Spy last week for $19.99, I was wondering if I could get my $5 bucks back otherwise I'll have to buy another copy and return it with my $19.99 receipt.
Damn, that was quick. I put it in my cart, took a shower, came back and it was gone.
That'll teach you to waste time with personal hygiene when cheap games are available. :D
Anyone want to take one for the team and call EB customer service to see if they'll be getting any more Custom Robo in?
These prices are good for another 16 days, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. They will probably toss some on the site a few more times before it is all over (but don't expect more today). Oh, and customer service probably doesn't know any more about it than we do.
The Rebate is up for Hot Shots Golf FORE *&* Syphon Filter

Simply go here - and its the second one down: http://www.ebholdings.com/eb_stores/rebates.asp

The problem is that they want you to buy BOTH GAMES. Can anyone confirm how the Hot Shots Rebate works IN STORE? I already own the piece of crap Syphon Filter personally.
Yea the rebate form said "Receive a $20 EBGames mail-in gift voucher when you purchase both of the following games. " I hope the in store form is different.

I just got back from EB and I got their last copy of Hot Shots. Of course it was their "new" but opened display copy. The in-store rebate form says Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain or Hot Shots Golf Fore. Also, it rang up at $19.99.
