Strawman. No one is suggesting that a game is less playable without its box. What you're saying though, is that the box and manual have no value, which is patently false. If they had no value it would never come up, ever. They have no value to you, which is fine but hardly universal. The problem is that there are two options given at one price point. What if new and used games were the same price, and you never knew what you were going to get? Would you care then? I mean, a pristine shrinkwrapped game plays as well as a scuffed up but working disc in a cardboard sleeve but would you be willing to drop $50 and then find out what you were going to get? I didn't think so, even though you claim to only care about "the game". It's hard to make a value judgement when there's a random variable in the equation.
Strawman, huh? Bringing out the big guns. I'm pretty sure you don't get it.
First, let's review the comment that I was refering to.
EBGames.com is worthless now for used stuff. Sad, too.

I disagree. I bought Ico and Drill Dozer for a combined total of $24.13. This is a MUCH better price than I have been able to find anywhere else. In this, I am able to find value in EBGames.com. Yes, if I could have the cases and manuals for free, I would take them. But if I can cut my cost more than in half and take a chance that I won't get an Ico case, I'll take that chance. And yes, I too enjoyed EBGames more before the merge. However, for you to infer from my statement that I am saying "that the box and manual have no value" is actually.... well.... borderline retarded.
Here, I'll summarize it for you. I still find value in EBGames.com because sometimes it's so cheap that it's ok that they're not giving me cases and manuals. MY collection doesn't need to be perfect. I understand that this isn't the case for others, but to say EBGames is worthless because of this I find to be a huge overstatement. That's all. No need to get all excited and start using bold.
