Everyone should just do what I do and bring the printouts to Sears, their pricematch policy actually says, "local competitors web site." They don't have very much usually, however their games are VERY overpriced, MGS3 was priced at $39.99, I picked it up today. Mine didn't have 4 swords anymore unfortunately.
I'm certainly gonna try it again this time, but they don't like website prices much. Would have probably worked if the price hadn't gone back up to 49.99 after it sold out initially though, so we'll see. Depends on the manager that gets called over. Hell of a lot closer than the CC that probably has it stocked, so it'll be worth it.

Edit: From the Sears.com price match policy -

If you find a lower price (including shipping, handling and delivery) on an identical branded item with the same features currently available for sale and delivery in your area from a local retail store's online site, Sears will match that total price Plus, give you 10% of the difference. Just print the ordering page, including shipping, handling and delivery, and bring it to your Sears store at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase.

So it might be worth it to go through most of the check-out process to get the s/h and tax on there just in case they give you shit about the before price.

The more I hear from various web sites the more I think my store is just different from the rest of them. I get such ridiculous deals there, its seriously the ONLY reason I work there still.

However their PM Plus Policy does say "local competitors online website" so just bring that up--they won't have a choice.

At Sears & Circuit City Only....If you can't printout the sale page just ask them checkout the computer then they pricematch it. Also, CC no longer call for pricematch.

I feel CHEAP when I pricematch at CC (whenever the customer from CC see me walk in to the store is mean Pricematch) ... :)

Last time it wasn't 14.99 online by the time I PM'd, and with the stock for MP2 down to 96 now, I don't know if it'll stick be in stock at that price by this evening. But I have everything printed out so hopefully someone will bite on it.

Edit: I think I'll just go over to Sears during my lunch break, so it'll still be in stock, just need to find out how to eat lunch in the remaining two minutes.
Flew like a bat out of hell to nab LOZ 4S. There's still over a 100 copies left though.
Looks like it was a good idea ... over 100 gone in under an hour

Damn. Hope it comes back tomorrow...

Dang Four Swords is gone already. :(

And whoever asked about Cold Winter, it's easily one of the best (if not the best) FPS on the PS2. Definitely worth $20 if you're into FPSs.

I've been enjoying Project: Snowblind on my PS2 from the CC sale, and I'll probably pick up Cold Winter if it's good. Might have to wait for a $10 price drop though ;)

I asked in another thread but figured I could ask here too. Does anyone happen to have a screenshot of Zelda in stock at 14.99 so I can pricematch that to Circuit City like I did with the Metroid Prime 2 deal?
Anyone know if these are B&M prices as well?
No dice at the Racine location :whistle2:(

I tried Four Swords (got one online) but it wasn't on sale . . . neither were F-Zero or the Cartoon network GBA . . . fuck . . . I was teaching and not able to see the whole list of games.

Just in front of me, this guy (about 20 years) traded in 4 games all Xbox (Guy Game, Sonic Collection, last year's Madden, and LOTR 3rd Age) for $16 in cash . . . I almost vomitted in seeing such sacrilege.

For those who got in on Four Swords and need an extra GBA or two, Gamestop is probably your best bet. They're OOS online, but use the zip search to find one locally.

http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=909022

Since they're so common, almost all stores should have a few in stock. And I can confirm that they're $20 B&M.

As for Cold Winter, I expect it to go the way of Second Sight: from $40 to $20 to $10 in fairly short order.

Unfortunately, as mentioned, these do not ring up in-store as the advertised prices. I went to my local EB with some trade-ins hoping to snag Four Swords, but it rang up as the usual price, and now that I'm back home, the online sale is sold out.

Curses.

ahhh... nabbed both Zelda (fuck you dvdsoon)
and Metroid Prime 2... already have both guides so I am good to go when they arrive

You should've given him some money for Guy Game. It'll probably be a collector's item soon.

yeah now i am kicking myself for not getting it before i went to class both metroid and 4 swords. stupid summer classes starting at 8 am.

what killed me is i had metroid in my cart earlier with mgs3 and silent hill2 po(for free shipping, wanted the game for a while), then while looking around to see if i wanted anything else metroid sold out:(

I want to keep refreshing the page to see if Four Swords will come back in stock, but I have to leave for work in another 10 minutes and I won't be back until very late tonight. Crap.

I'm teaching a stupid 8:30 am CST) summer class . . . stopped me from getting F-Zero, Gungriffon and a few others . . . luckily Four Swords was posted early.

I ordered it at about 8:28 :)

At least I get paid to go to class :whistle2:0
Must resist... THE HOBBIT!!!
It's a trap! Seriously, the game sucks. I have it. Unless you like bad-camera ugly-graphics dumb-messed-up-story lame-voice-acting terrible-controls bad-level-design tripe.

MP2 and Four Swords (possibly others) are showing up in search results at $14.99, but not showing up in stock yet, just an FYI...

Good game worth the money. However it sounds like the better option is holding out til MGS3 - Subsistence. That 3D follow-behind camera, and possibility of it containing Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, the GREAT MSX versions, is very appealing.

Now, if they'd just let Snake move around when in 1st person view, it'd be the PERFECT Metal Gear game IMO.

Possibility?

It's already confirmed the MSX games are in.

So I was able to see that Zelda was instock but I didn't want to place an order right away. So, of course, I waited and the game went out of stock. Fortunately I got a screen shot and printed it out hoping that my CC would price match. So I stroll into CC around 8:30 pm, they close at 9 I believe, and take a look at the clearance games only to find a few copies of Baten Kaitos still there. Walked over grab the Zelda game and asked an employee who was walking around being bored. I asked about comparing prices and showed her the print out and she told me to go to customer service.

I walked up to costumer service and showed the lady there and asked about it. The employees who were operating the customer service might have been managers, or so I thought since they were not teenagers like all the other employees there. She rang the game up "Whoa.....We'll compare prices only if they have it instock." *arg...I doubt they have EB's number at hand....* I thought, she pulls out the phonebook O_O. She calls and walks back over to ask about the pre-played price being higher than the 'New' price. I politely tell her that the game is on sale. She says "Well, I asked the guy to look it up and he said it was $14.99....so it's $14.99..."

Seems like I lucked out some how.

I don't know. I was under the impression that this was online only. Good luck to ya though, hope you're able to get yourself a copy cheap.

ARRgh! All I wanted out of the CC deal was Baten Kaitos and my CC didn't have any - Don't suppose you picked an extra copy up? ;)

Not sure, probably like Halo 2 LE, just an extra disc with "stuff" and a nicer case... that seems like what the EB product page is saying. Either way, I'm happy I checked this early. :D My first deal that I found! :applause: And I was waiting for this game for a long time now... more to add to my "no time to play" pile! Oh well, now if only Jade Empire would drop to $20 too.
