EBgames.com drops more titles to $4.99-$9.99

God this site has spoiled me. Even at $4.99 I can't get too excited about these games but may be there is something someone was looking for.
I just wish EB would hurry up and lower Rumble Roses.
Speaking of temporary price drops and one-hit wonders, I wonder if RE: Outbreak 1 is ever going to come back at $9.99 new. I hesitated a few months ago, and I haven't seen it that cheap again.

That's about all they can sell it for because the online registration code is probably used. They had it new for $0.99 in B&M a few months ago as well

Good news. I just received my copies of DBZ Budokai and The Getaway that I ordered late last week.

Bad news. They're supposed to be new, but DBZ is encased in the worst amateur shink wrap job I've ever seen. Just horrible.

Worse yet, The Getaway isn't even shrink wrapped at all. The sticky seal at the top is still intact, but that's it.

The discs and manuals appear in great shape, so I'm willing to believe they're new in the sense that they haven't been played before. But obviously, they aren't new as in sealed. I certainly hope EB's site isn't starting to adopt the "open = new" criteria that the stores use for floor copies.

This is not a good sign.

D. Monic,

I received my copy of Getaway today as well, but it's brand new/factory sealed. They actually sent a non-GH copy, which I was pleasantly surprised to see.

Concerning the ebgames.com website sending opened floor copies instead of factory sealed games when you order new ones, yes, this has been happening for well over a year now (since I've been ordering from ebgames.com). I've found the best solution is to call your local EB stores, and see if any have a new copy in stock. If so, take back your "open == new" copy, and get the factory sealed one from them. Also, you can have them open the poorly shrink-wrapped one that's supposed to be "new", and if you're not happy w/ the condition of the game, ask for your money back. I've done this multiple times, and never had any problems. Best of luck!

Interesting, I haven't had this happen yet on new games. My Getaway was original seal with the Red GH sticker over the top . . . so its original packaging . . . plus, if you peel the $19.99 price tag, the $39.99 one is underneath
Lifeline might be good, I played the demo before and it was pretty decent. Of course she only understand 60% of the time what I said with the headshet anyways.
VERY frustrating! The voice recognition is very spotty! If you can get it super-cheap, it would be ok.
That was a nice waste of $5.
lol, i got it for 1buck at TRU before and it still doesnt worth it. couldve used it for the nuggets at wendys.

I have to agree . . . Turok is soooo stinky that even for free I would only take it to try to profit from it.

Years ago, I bought a DirecTV sys at BB and they had a special get a 1 year rental card free . . . I used it to get games!

I rented Turok and even for free I felt ripped off . . . I wanted to smash the disc because I had so loved the game on the N64 (the second one with used the enhanced RAM pak and came close to basic PC graphics of the time).
Damn, 2 minutes in and Morrowmind is already gone. They had 96 2 minutes ago..
This was the old version too. Imagine how quickly the GOTY edition will sell when/if EB decides to move its stock as well.

This sucks!! That was to dam fast. We'll get this for $4.99 soon hopefully.

I got Turok for for PS2 for $5 at CC last summer and I enjoyed it for $5. Played through level 8 before I got interested in better games. I never played any of the previous ones though.

Thanks Backlash. I feel better now. I haven't played the other either.

Of course there's going to be someone who likes Turok. But if you look at another game that people usually get for cheap, the love/hate ratio is much more divided than it is on Turok. Turok is one of the FEW games where the majority of people, no matter how much they paid for it, will agree that it is a giant piece of crap that wasn't worth 5 minutes of their time.

Turok: Topic Killer

With so many other FPS on the Xbox why would any bother for even one minute with Turok makes no sense. The game was garbage 3 years ago and with so many FPS in 2005 the game is even worse.
