Very luke warm here. The only thing that interests me is the $19.99 Doom CE. I was hoping for another two for $25. Two for $30 is no better than what I can get at Best Buy any day.

LOL! I guess the gamestop "sales" rep made the list, because when the people from eb did it the past three years, they had some great deals. Gamestop always does lame stuff like "get a free 10 dollar gift card with 49.99 new game purchase!"

I guess the gamestop guys really had to squeeze their butt cheeks together to pull out mgs 3 for 9.99.
 
Yeah MGS 3 is the only good deal but then think about it for a sec. Both Atlus games are coming out soon, Magna Carta and Stella Deus, plus Dragon Quest VIII. Get all three for $90 PO or even $81 if they let you use the Edge card. You could get some serious gaming power for a nice price.
 
Ermmm....most (if not all) games for the weekend sale don't appear to be discounted at all.

I probably will snag 1080 though.
 
I agree the deals are in no shape or form as good as last year's, but their are still some to be had. What caught my eye are:

Metal Gear Solid 3 PS2 - $9.99 (great great price)
1080 Avalanche GC $9.99 (missed this one when EB had it for this price earlier in the year since no EB had the game left in stock. Wonder what will happen this time around, whether or not they will receive more copies in)
DOOM 3 CE XB $19.99 (Good price, but is it good enough for me to go and buy it. Also, I doubt that my EB still has any or will receive any more. They'll probably have only the regular version of it)

And wow, the EB/Gamestop merger must have really put a kink in EB's deals. Almost everything seems to at MSRP and that 2 for $30 is no better than what I can get at BB with a GGC. B2G1 is intriguing though.

And I'm not going to seem ungrateful like the rest ;), so I would like to give to thank you for typing up all of that and my sincerest appreciation.

Not much to see for me. I was hoping for X-Men Legends 2 drop to $20. The only thing that interests me is the Doom 3 expansion, but even at $20 is still a bit high for me. Maybe I'll drop by and check out their pre-owned section for the B2G1 free deal.
 
First of all thanks OP

This is deal is warm at best. 1080 is great but i got that for $10 at their last sale. MGS3 for $10 is nice, but they are likely just clearing space for MSG3:Substance. Doom3 and the expansion pack will hit $20 at Best Buy sooner or later anyway.

Lets hope Frys will have some real deals.
 
sale is lame except for mgs3 and the b2g1 (which is always nice). as for X-Men Legends II, isn't another store selling it for $29.99 on black friday (i think kmart).
 
thanks, doom 3:CE for $20 seems like a pretty good deal considering it might be hard to find if/when BB drops it to $15 after GGC. anyone know anything about the system link on it though? Is it coop/deathmach? 1 player per xbox? thanks.

MGS3 for $10 is good, but I got rid of my copy 'cause I plan to buy Subsistence next year.

At least last year they had some good stuff. WoW for $30? It's been like that for weeks. We Love Katamri for $30. That's list price!

The only thing good there is the buy 2 get 1 free. Combine that with the edge and you cna get nearly 40% off

i think EB is starting to wise up to combining edge with b2g1. i tried that in their last sale and it didn't work at two different stores. the computer wouldn't add the edge discount.
 
I probably won't get as many games as the last two years since they ditched the 2/$25 deal, which is now 2/$30. I may pick up MGS3 though.

the sad thing is GAMESTOP bought EB, it affect us all, here in Puerto Rico EB gets the games the day they are released stateside, while Gamestop gets them the the day after they are released in the states, this merger will affect us gamers, in a bad way......yes it does....

and the BLACK FRIDAY SALE, this year is a joke ,,,,,,,will sleep....till noon, no point in getting early...

ha ha good luck getting magna carta and dragon quest 8 used only a week after they came out new .... you be lucky to see either one of those used before jan 2006

also these deals really suck. buy 2 get 1 free can be found many times during the year.

compared to the deals that EB has had in years past, this is quite disappointing. I was hoping for some kind of 19.99 deal on some game that had not dropped yet.
