Although the PS3 version might be slightly more detailed, I like the 360 screenshots simply because they're more colorful and not as dark.

I'm gonna go to EB tomarrow and see if they still have any. If they do, I'll probably trade it in at FYE if its still worth anything and use that $ towards Lair or NGS. If they don't, then I guess I got a $20 PS3 game. Can't go wrong either way!
 
All the stores near me are OOS as well....so I just ordered it online. was $24.04 with tax and shipping (the 5-10 day option).....still seems like a deal to me and at least I will get it this way without wasting gas...hehe(I have wasted too much gas before trying to find deals in stock like this).

I agree. I beat it on the 360 or I'd jump all over this. Not a fantastic game, but not a bad game either. If you're in the mood for a next-gen turn-based RPG, this shouldn't disappoint. Combat was pretty fun imo. I'm tempted to pick it back up, but if I do I imagine the temptation to 2-for-1 it will be stronger than my urge to keep it.

When does that 2-for-1 deal end anyway? I'm not sure if The Darkness is going to be worth keeping once I finish it or not...which I'll probably do this weekend.
 
Good deal. The 360 version should drop soon especially with Blue Dragon and Mass Effect (hopefully) around the corner. This game was pretty fun, I would give it a high 7. Standard RPG fare ruined by Atzuma's crappy character and voice acting (Was that Robin Atkin Downes as Rygar? Although he isn't listed it sure sounded like him, he did the best voice acting imho). Ending boss REALLY ruined the fun (it could be almost broke if you didn't save items/level properly) but with the PS3 "shaking" of the controller you can get a instant rage out of that. Worth $20 easily.
 
Wow, almost bought this for $40 @ FYE. Thank god i came home to read. Store locator says every store in 20 miles has it in stock. Definately gonna check it out tomorrow.
 
Wow, this is a great deal. I had Enchanted Arms on the 360, but I never got to finish playing it because I sold my 360 after the second time Microsoft repaired it. I was just thinking of buying this the other day for PS3. I'm glad I waited. I went to GameCrazy today and bought their last two copies. I traded in one for profit at Sam Goody and I'm keeping the other. It's a decent game imho if you're into turn-based J-RPG's, and if you like anime that's a plus because the game is very anime-ish. Nothing spectacular, but being as there aren't and J-RPG's on the PS3 at the moment it's a steal. Worth every bit of 20 bucks in any case.

I used the FYE trade-in deal to basically get a free copy.

Just an FYI - Microsoft announced all XBox360s now have a 3 year warranty and if you had to pay them to fix it, they'll pay you back.

Good thing I did my deal before we got the email.
 
The PS3 version doesn't have online mode, does it? That's possibly why it didn't get as high a rating as the Xbox 360 version?
 
Holy GOD. I got this for $40 on the 360 and greatly enjoyed it. I'm greatly contemplating getting this for the PS3 just for the hell of it. $20 is nothing for a game like this.
 
I'm weary of buying "new" games from EB and GS that have been out for a while because I wonder if they're actually new. I've gotten games that were supposedly new from them, shrinkwrapped and all, but they were obviously repackaged by them.
 
Hopefully you can tell the difference between factory sealed, and Gamestop sealed...if all else fails you can order online and definitely get a factory sealed one...

That's a good point Indiana.

You can always do what I did and just order it online with SAVER shipping. That way you're sure you're getting a brand new copy.

I got a gutted copy and I couldn't care less. The disc looked like new and so did the case.

Sure, I could have argued with them and demanded the used price, but that would have been better for them and worse for me ;)

Same here, I usually balk at it when they are gutted, but I didn't feel like driving to another store and wasting gas. I also didn't want to wait for it to be delivered so I took the chance and bought it. The case was in good shape and the disc had two fingerprints on it but no scratches. I took my PSP cleaning cloth and wiped off the finger prints without scratching the disc....much to my suprise. That cloth is now going to be placed near my dvd/game collection to clean discs if needed.

Oh, and thanks OP for the deal! The baffled expression on the employees face was priceless when he rang me up. I love knowing price drops before EB/GS employees do.

Worked for me today, but dunno if it's because they just hadn't checked their email yet or because I know the manager (I shop at this particular GS a lot). I called & asked before I went to pick it up (from another EB, of course) and he told me it would work.

Thanks OP, makes me not feel so bad about The Darkness now (good rental, but definitely not worth a purchase imo).
 
got the 360 version and it's awesome. i really love it (playing with Japanese voices). i read that the PS3 version has major framerate problems tho. if you have both consoles, get the 360 version. the 360 version's rumble during the battles are quite epic too.

I own both, sold the 360 version a while ago, to buy the PS3 version. Rumble is nothing special. I'm more interested in people able to listen to Japanese voices and motion controls.

Picked up my copy used from my local gamestop, went down the street and traded it, and Full auto II for Sigma...awesome deal. They obviously did not read the e-mail. thanks a lot OP.

10% of the difference. CC charges $59.99, so the difference is $40, 10% of which is $4.
