How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

Since none of the regular posters actually pay attention to the OP: could someone run through the games in the OP and let me know which have been reprinted, so I can presumably remove them from the list? Unless people still want them there. I think I'll do what I can to make that part a little more dynamic this thread.

Oh, and don't forget the reprint of Earthbound that I told you about through PMs. ;)

My bad, thought someone confirmed it was a reprint in the last thread. Misread a post, so that one's not 100% for sure yet.

I think you should add the reprinted games, but note that they are reprinted or make a "Reprints (Formerly Sell-a-Kidney-Rare)" section.

Doom 3 collectors edition should be $10 online tommorow right? There is a code FREE3DAY for free 3 day shipping on Doom 3, but it applies to the whole order. The code will probably work tommorow so if there is a big update and you buy Doom 3 CE and a few other things, use the coupon.

Did anyone in the past couple days actually have their Steel Battalion's ship out? I ordered the second of two one day, and then one popped up the next day, and I got the same thing that happened last time I tried to order, I was backordered.

All it really matter is to collectors. I'll be glad to get a copy when my money situation is right. But it doesn't bother me that its a reprint, I will be excited to just get a copy of the games.

I don't care if its a reprint, I was just under the assumption that they weren't as highly sought after (enough to put in the OP) since they are more readily available now. If that is not the case, I will gladly put them back in.
 
I was thinking of picking up Parasite Eve(PS1) from EBgames.com and was wondering what the chances were of me receiving the double-case and everything.
I've ordered plenty of PS1 games from them(maybe 25% come complete) but I've never ordered any of the multi-disk jewel case PS1 ones. I wasn't sure if these were more or less likely to be complete.

So my question is has anyone ordered this game(or any other games that use the larger multi-cd cases)?... and if so what condition or completeness did the game arrive in. My biggest concern is that the original case and inserts would be missing, I could live without the manual I suppose.

Thanks in advance for any info/help you guys have.

I'd say your chances are about 10% of getting anything more than discs . . . they have double-disc cases for games. 1000 arms came in a double but no inserts or documentation. But I have gotten some complete gems: Diablo, Klonoa, Abe's Odysee . . . I just wouldn't get your hopes up.

thanks for the info, that's kind of what I figured.

The gamestop nearby has a semi-complete(missing only the manual) copy of Parasite Eve for $12.99, but the cheap bastard in me wants it for $10 from EB. I guess I'll have to cough up the extra $3... bummer.

I return all incomplete games received from EB Online to my local retail store. I've had aboiut a 25% success rate of receiving complete and undamaged PS1 games. Since you can return anything you buy to a retail store, what do you have to lose?
 
this sucks, I hope it doesn't take much longer. I know if I go to bed now there will be an awesome update with a bunch of stuff that I want.

true, but it's just the hassle of having to return stuff... and the guys at my local EB are pretty cool and hook me up when they can. I don't want to screw them by returning a bunch of stuff at their store.

this is how i feel too. it hurts their numbers if you keep returning stuff i believe. if i do have to return something, i'll try to find something decent in-store to buy or i'll just take store credit.
 
I think there was, it was just odd. I saw PS1 go from 424 to 421, then all of a sudden it was at 445. Not seeing anything of note though.

Edit: Okay, now it's at 421 again, what the hell?
 
Only thing I'm noticing is that Pac Pix is now 24.99 used again (was 17.99 for a while). So I guess I'm not getting that used anymore.
