FAQ:
How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?

Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.
Got No One Can Stop Mr. Domino today and it came complete, so that made the $1 raise in price worth it imo.
Good to hear, hopefully mine will come like that. If not it was still cheap and should be fun for a couple hours at least.

Thanks for the post about the Time Crisis 3. I have all of the games, but I needed another Gun Con. (The off brand does not shoot straight...)

Thanks!!

price dropped from $24.99 to $17.99. Having owned it I can tell you its not the same type of Sims youre used to. Drop the interior decorating ideas and embrace some originality here. This is getting its own topic.
Can you explain it a bit? What to expect? What type of gamer might enjoy it? I'm kinda sick of the normal type Sims games... would I like this? Thanks...
$13.49 BC sounds great, though I know someones gonna get the last one. I'll probably wait till Best Buy drops it so I can get it $15 after GGC....

You fools! How could Lunar Legend for GBA still be in stock?!

No box/manual = no sale.
No box/manual = no sale.
Lol, funny you should meantion this. The copy I bought used at EB came complete and in very good condition. You dont really need the manual/instructions for this game. Its very straightfoward really, if you've played any RPG you'll know what to do. If you can live without possibly (or like 99.99% of chance) in getting instructions and original packaging and just want to play games for what they are meant for, then you'll enjoy this one.

See, most people who are buying the cheap games like that are buying themn for their collections. If I buy a game to play I don't really care about how complete it is. Most of the time though, I'm not going to care about it if it's an older game.

Damn, EBGAMES is still not working for me...I cannot log into it. When it finally loads, I get no pictures or nothing....it takes like 10 minutes.

I had that problem last year or so. You don't run Kazaa or any P2P with a hosts file do you?

No, everything is shut down....I don't use any of those anyways. An FTP sometimes, but nothing else....nothing is running.

I got 3 of the 4 games that I ordered the other day, in 2 packages(well envelopes). And the only one that was complete was the "new" copy of Scrapland (no seal, only an antitheft strip along the side of the case).

My order looks like this, as of now:
Rival Schools - disc only, might have well been shipped in a ziplock bag, more supportive than their excuse for a case, that just about fell apart in shipping and knocked one of the discs loose. discs are fine

No One Can Stop Mr. Domino - disc only, case made it fine, but not the original. disc is in good condition

American McGee Presents Scrapland - damn EB and their "new" policy.

Front Mission 3 is god knows where

I have an order from sometime in December for this game, and it still hasn't shipped. Good luck on that order.

I figured there were still some outstanding orders for this, which is bullshit, as its on the site damn near every morning, and theres probably atleast 25 or so people that ordered it prior that haven't recieved it.

I'm all but done with EBGames.com, if I wanted to get a "new" unsealed game, I'd just go into the store and get it immediately, rather than wait for it to come and then find out its "new" instead of new. Plus their packaging is horrible and the game cases, well lets just say they're are better options than these cases.

it took me almost 2 months before my front missons 3 shipped...

i got 1 or 2 of them up for trades if you dont want to wait anymore

they are DISC ONLY though

Got my SaGa Frontier on Saturday...Disk Only. Hopefully I can take it to the local EBGames and exchange it for the complete one I saw the other day.

Same thing happened to me, but it DID come. I tried cancelling and reordering once, which didn't seem to help. However, it finally arrived -- about 1 month from original order date? Hmm, seems I should consider that lucky... But, it did come!!

Took me about 6 weeks to get mine but then it wouldn't load - had to return it.

now, I just searched for that a minute ago and found nothing! i don't trust this search function very much...

i just bought an edge card yesterday, so hopefully i'll be joining you guys quite often with the updates...question though, how often does a ps1 game come complete? almost never? 1 in 10? i know there obviously isn't a set amount such as 1 in every 10 games, but just from experience? i know you can take the game back b&m without any problems, but i'm curious to see what i'm getting into

I'd say 20-25% but maybe lower on rare titles . . . my thinking is that with the rare ones, we just keep recycling the same few copies. Order, return, order, return . . .

But I'd say I've ordered 40 PS1 games in the last 16 months and 12 have been complete.

Some have been complete gems: Klonoa, Diablo, Abe's Odysee . . .

From my experience, 1 in 10 is about right. Sometimes you get lucky and 3 out of 4 will be complete, followed by 2 or 3 orders that won't be complete. I did get a Complete Suikoden II once. I never had a problem with returns.

I've ordered about 20 PS1 games at this point, and only 4 have come complete. 1 came with the manual, but without a back insert. It really does vary too much between each person to determine a good ratio from what I've seen. I usually only buy the 2-3 dollar games though, so getting it complete normally doesn't matter to me.

Thanks for the input guys...it sounds pretty good. Unless it's something cheap that I can just throw my nephew's way, I won't keep a game unless it's complete. So I'll have to plan on taking a lot of stuff back...which seems worth the effort when it finally pays off.

I think my favorite moment of this update was finding a location "nearby" that has Alien Hominid for GC with the title "Fourth Avenue Live!" Now I want to travel an hour just to find out why in the world the shopping center or whatnot this EB is located has that strange name. If it was in the middle of a city I'd understand but this is Indiana here...it's probably next to a crop of corn or something.

Sorry, sorry, that's just the NYer in me lashing out a bit against all of these crops. But seriously though, wide open spaces makes me want to buy more games so I don't have to deal with the dead nature of the middle of nowhere. ;)

don't worry, we all make up our own excuses as to why we want to buy more games...yours just happens to be a little more weird

agreed, i have a pretty large amount of 2-3 dollar "saver shipping" games with about 1-10 ratio being complete. Fortunately the ones that were complete were decent titles. Tekken 1,2, Fear Effect, etc.
There was a Pulp Fiction Collectors Edition dvd for 99 cents, but it sold out.
i got 4 DVD at 99 cents and eb cancelled all of them last year..

My copy of No One Can Stop Mr. Domino came semi-complete, it has the original case and insert, but no manual. The disk is in good shape too, and theres only one little sticker on the case rather than the usual 5. I don't know where I could get a manual for this, but at least it will look complete from the side.

I got my Time Crisis III with Guncon 2 in Fed Ex today. It was almost mint and everything was clean. Heck, the game was still sealed. I played it for a bit so far, and its great

seems like more games are coming in complete. i got g-police 2 complete today along with klonoa and jumping flash 2 last week. hopefully this is a good sign.
