How do I get those sticky yellow EB stickers off my case?
Buy a bottle of Goo Gone. They're usually $5 or less. They last forever and are a good purchase if you buy lots of used games. You can find them at drug stores or places like Wal Mart.

The bottle looks like this:

When is the EBgames morning update?
Usually between 7am and 7:30am eastern time, Monday through Friday. There are no updates on some holidays.

How do I know the update happened?
The number of in stock games will drop to zero, then rise back up. This takes less than a minute.

I had game X in my cart, but it disappeared while I was checking out. What happened?
Someone else beat you to it. Just because an item is in your cart, doesn't mean it's reserved for you until you finish checking out.

How do you know how many copies of game X are in stock?
When the item is in your cart, change the quantity to a large number (like 99). When the page refreshes, the quantity will be reduced to the number available.

Are there any coupons I could use to save money?
CAG15 gives you 15% off used merchandise.
CAG16 gives you 16% off $50 or more worth of used merchandise.
SAVER gives you free shipping on orders containing used games and accessories. For some reason, Gameboy games do not work with SAVER.

I've gotten two cracked disks too, one was even a $30 PS2 game, you'd think that would be easy enough to check for.

Yeah for Physics. I want to get a degree in physics. I am thinking of doing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Physics.
 
All the SNES games I have ordered from them have been cart only DKC 2 did not work at all I had to send that one back and got a refund. Of the three PS1 games I have ordered from them one came complete the other almost complete I am waiting for my latest purchase to arrive.

Actually my major is Engineering Physics, which is about 2/3 Electrical Engineering, 2/3 Physics, 1/3 Mechanical, and 1/4 Comp Sci. It's interesting and challenging to say the least.

I've been lucky lately, I'm hitting about 50-60% complete on my ps1 games. Over the last few weeks I got these complete:

Tempest X3(brand new)
Tecmo's deception
Kagero: deception 2
Deception 3
Codename Tenka
Mechwarrior 2
Invasion from beyond
Um Jammer lammy
Apocalypse
Jojo's Bizzarre adventure
Resident Evil 3(DC)

There has been some others as well, I just can't remember off the top of my head. Unfortunately for me though my disc only copies of games have been about 70% defective.

There's a lot of cool stuff in the field. Lasers, optics, semiconductors, nuclear, even nanotech, which we just got a course in thanks to our close affiliation with a nearby Air Force base.

I admire you for taking Engineering physics--that's tough stuff. I'm a math major--and your total of 2/3, 2/3, 1/3, and 1/4 doesn't equal up to 100%--it's actually 23/12.

How many years do you have left?

Thanks for the calculations. It's supposed to be a joke. The brochure for the program says EPs are the "special forces" of the Engineering department. I've got a little over a year left. Maybe I should make my own thread in the OT forum for this.

That is cool. Nanotech is in demand now and will be very useful in the near future. I wanted to go into that after I took a nanotech class in highschool. What year are you in? I am a freshman.

Haven't been to that part of Ohio for a while. Normally just the Hamilton area, but the Air Museum is nice.
 
Sorry--didn't catch the joke. I guess that's a trait of most mathematics majors--seeing bad calcuations and fixing them (not to mention missing most jokes).

I like that--the "special forces" of the engineering department. I'd definitely put that on my business card.
 
Jesus, I woke up an hour early to do this, and it may not even happen before I get to work. I really need to just ebay DW Monsters so I don't have to wake up for this anymore, seriously.

I'm sure that'll happen eventually too, but who's to say that they don't let go of the EB site update people before that happens? If they did that, no morning update.

I thought GameStop was considering using EB's site when they merge? Not to say that means they would still do the update.

Hopefully that's why the store availability is down... that's the only thing better about GameStop.com, that and the backorder listings.
 
I usually leave for work at 7:30 and it has not updated before that in over a month now. Everytime I get on the computer there, it is updated. WHat time has it been updateing the past month?
