But I understand everyones criticism of them, horrid controls, lack of innovation, lack of online, etc.
Oddly enough, and this differs from person to person, but I found that using the FPS controller (I forget the manufacturer) with the controls mapped out the way you want makes a world of difference when playing Armored Core. I just found that it was far easier to switch weapons on the fly and boost, mostly because the four shoulder buttons are moved into the inside area of the controller and the default finger position allows for great access. Nothing like being able to boost nearly constantly and unleash a relentless assault at the same time!

Most of my friends who weren't into the Armored Core series liked the setup as well, so...perhaps that helps as far as the controls are concerned. It certainly is a fantastic series and I lament the fact that I haven't seen Nexus around here in a long time.

I think I may be the only person in the world who was upset when the newer model PS2's dropped the link cable port so that I couldnt do this anymore. Just this past summer I bought my friends launch day PS2 off of him just cos it had this port.

Not just you, I'm afraid. One of my favorite moments in my undergrad years was hooking up different PS2s and setting up two-screen Time Crisis 2 and Time Crisis 3. We did a bit of the same with Armored Core 3: Silent Line but we really needed to play more of the game and we never got around to it. Sure, the system link isn't used that often, but it expands the gameplay experience at least ten fold, especially with plenty of friends.

Too bad the PSTwo doesn't have the port. I desperately need the extra space the small design offers me over the original design but the system link allows me to pretty much do Time Crisis 2 and Time Crisis 3 whenever I want with my brother.

Damnable decisions.

Anyone else notice that Saver shipping went up to $2.49 from $2?

The "saver" coupon still works but not with the Reservation Rewards or Travel Values Plus $10 coupon, great for getting free games if you can find a matching Price Grabber rebate too.

Yes I am cheap...

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday when I forgot to put in SAVER at first, thought it might have been because I was ordering bongos, but I guess not. And I'm cut off from the reward vouchers, they caught on to my tricks and cancelled my last order when attempting to use one (after getting three or four out of it).
Since I've been searching practically everyday for the GC version, and only see the PS2 version, I'm guessing this hasn't been up for a while:

9.99 b/c
Though there are surprisingly 20 copies, so maybe not.
Thanks Botticus! I just placed my order for this one. Should be excellent. Incidentally, where does it state online how many copies are available?

Always here to help my brothers from the Land o Cleves.

Just update the quantity in your cart to 100, it'll reset to whatever is available.
Really? I wonder if that must be Gamestop's influence. GS's prices always seem to me to be a little higher than EB for most titles.
I thought it was the other way around, at least for B&M. Like GS has Meteos for $19.99 PO but it's $26.99 at EB.

Hi, I'm kind of new to this thread. Can someone please answer a couple intelligent (hopefully) questions?

What offers are available for use with EBGames.com? Can I use CAG15/16 with SAVER and with my EDGE card sticker? Can I pay with EDGE card? With Gift Card (no tax included, the black card)? Also, do recent PO games ever show up on EBGames.com? Like is Castlevania DS or NBA Live 06 something I could check for every morning update, or do they only have stuff that the B&M stores ship back to them after a few weeks?

EDIT: Also, what are the reward vouchers mentioned previously?

Just a small note, EB Games is no longer taking music cds for trade-ins. My friend told me it has something to do with the EB/Gamestop merger.

No, the CD trade-in ideas were talked about much earlier then that. Originally they had buyers for the CDs. Then they decided that they were going to try to sell them in store to make more profit. It worked too well. Most store inventory was going up way to fast. I talked to a local manager who said that he got 5 to 10 times as many in trade

You can stack CAG15/16 with SAVER and your EDGE card.

Don't expect to see Castlevania DS used for a couple of months. They are slow to get the popular games on here.

The morning update has been very crappy for awhile now :whistle2:(

I did order a copy of PO Doom 3 CE that popped up this morning $20 ac.
Plucked from my cart...oh well. $39.99 was a little steep for an SNES game. Is it worth it?
It is alot of fun, and I still go back and play my copy. Also, I hear they are making a new addition to the Mana series pretty soon.
Wonder why these prices never go down:

those are "rare" .. they had smaller print runs and won't get reprinted. I have jedi academy and it is a very excellent game. better than Outcast in my opinion.. and I've been wantin BG to go to about 30 or at least 25 before i get it. but yeah it won't ever go down..

if you want those two try to keep them from a local blockbuster thats where i got my Outcast for about 20 .

not to mention Sword of Mana and Legend of Mana in the states.. there are a lot more in Japan... its a great game.. its most like Zelda meets Square RPG elements. you can actually have 3 players playing it at the same time.. really cool.

today was a pretty good update actually, especially for nes and snes games.
And this one I've never heard of:

3.99 b/c
"Really fun game"
This is a Christian video game . . . I picked it up and another like it at Goodwill for $2 each hoping they had some value because of rarity . . . they don't. But they are kinda cool because of how nutty fundamentalists are.

That sucks that there hasn't been a good update for awhile. Makes me fell sort of good since I haven't been in the update for some time. Anyhow, this might be new since I haven't been in the update for awhile, or maybe just my computer as usual, but how come I can no longer see the picture of the game under the link?

$30 before coupons for a probably incomplete Einhander isn't the best deal, but I suppose at least it's guaranteed to work. I would personally probably go to eBay, though.
