Ok, I got it to work. All I had to do was create an account, X out of the window, go back to the site, and add the 2 games to my cart. $6.29 shipped for Ape Escape and Fear Effect 1. I'm so excited! :D Does anyone know how long it takes to ship things to Michigan? 5-10 business days seems really short, to really long, even for free. :/ Thanks CAG! :D
Usually for me it's 3-5 business days (Cleveland, so maybe an extra day to you).
So I'll get it hopefully Friday, :D Or if worse comes to worse next Monday or Tuesday.
Depends on when it ships. I ordered on Friday morning and it just shipped tonight, so probably won't actually head out the door till tomorrow. You might have better luck ordering at the beginning of the week though.

for Saver ship to get me its usually a week from when i order. (i usually order from tuesday-thursday) so they usually come in the middle of the week.. sometimes though its been a little longer and the full 10 days.. but most of mine come 5 business days at the most.

I just got an offer for $10 off my next EB Games online order. Do I have to do anything or do they just send it to me? I clicked to print it out, but after that what do I do? My mom would be pissed if they charge her something extra, so please help. Thanks.

you have to sign up for a service and then cancel within a certain amount of time.. I never bothered with them.. didn't want to end up forgeting to cancel.

If you signed up, just make sure to cancel within 30 days. Easiest way to do it is just cancel as soon as you get your voucher via email next week. I used about 4 of those and have about four left when EB cut me off :p (its supposed to be one per household, but its really one per email)

I signed up, actually tried to use the service, and found it didn't do much for me. I had no problems cancelling. It was pretty easy, and there was plenty of time to cancel.

One thing, though -- the voucher doesn't stack with CAG15 or SAVER, so it's only really worthwhile for something new and small.

Haha, the best was when I was able to get them to apply a voucher to a gift certificate. Good times. Had to do it over the phone, but at least then it was essentially stackable.

I was able to use 10 of them before I got cut off. I used a new email everytime. They may now link the coupon to a credit card billing address. I still have two valid ones, that I will give to a friend.

Using that code plus PriceGrabber is the best way to get free games! Everytime I place an order with EB I sign-up and then cancel 6 days later. There is also a LameStop (GS) version of this but they mail codes via USPS in 2 months, and they may never show up.

first time I've been here since I've gone back to school. still wouldn't be if I wasn't staying up all night for midterms

$5.99
I believe I can get that same price a/c in stores (it was marked 4.99 last time I saw it, still debating if an RPG based on Skittles is worth getting just for the novelty even though it sucks.

What a sad update... GC RPGs didn't even change. I've heard good things about this one for other systems, how about GC?
Dammit. I missed Mario's Picross. I've been waiting for that one for ages.

If you're really that desperate for it, you can get it here, here, or here.

I still have one in perfect condition with the box and instructions...i still play it to this day.

I played it for a while, but once you beat the 128 puzzles it has, there's not much more you can do but put it away for a year or so and come back to it fresh.

There's a great puzzle game for the GBA called Guru Logic Champ (click to download a 10-stage demo for the PC) that was only released in Japan. It's similar, but not quite the same. The full game has over 300 stages. There's a web game called Pixelus that is more or less the same concept.

So... how much longer does the 'ebgame morning update' thread have? Weeks... months...?

GameStop to layoff over 700

The bloodletting layoffs downsizing rightsizing has begun. The Philadelphia Business Journal is reporting that GameStop Corp. is closing its Greater Philadelphia operations, a.k.a. the former headquarters of one Electronics Boutique Holdings Corp. Also on the block is EB’s $13 million distribution center in Coatesville, PA (which just opened a year ago). This translates into 735 full-time and temporary jobs lost with more to follow next year. Where’s the brotherly love, man?

fuck... now will my orders have to ship from Texas? That's gonna take an extra few days.

all my orders came from PA and i'm in UT so it always took that long for me.. i only beg that gamestop keeps the stackable coupons from EB.. thats the only good thing about it.

It's crazy what Gamestop sells 'old' stuff for vs. what Ebgames does. I collect N64, Deamcast, PS1... the same games I pick up @ EB for ~$2.00 w/ free shipping sell for 15.99 and up at Gamestop.

I'm more interested that GS picks up some of the EB policies, like allowing in-store returns of online orders. Otherwise I will no longer be getting current gen used games online with no guarantee of completeness.

well yeah that too i mean... i'd like to see a lot of prices drop around the board on their site. (as they never match up what you get 64 games at in stores) I only hope they keep the stackable coupons if they keep only one thing.

Damn. That was the best thing about ordering in Pittsburgh, since SAVER had a tendency to have the game in my hands on a Wednesday if I ordered on a Monday, if not (by some miracle) Tuesday. What a shame...

I'm just crossing my fingers regarding classic games and coupons. I used to love GameStop mostly because it dabbled in old games for aging systems. They would be my "go to" guys for the classics while EB was for pretty much everything new and some things used. But now...I'm just hoping that the Edge card stays around (feels unlikely) since I'd rather spend $5 to $10 for a year of 10% off Used games rather than $15 for 10% off, a magazine I don't like, and trade-in deals I never use.

Damn, this is a very bad sign. . . . I held out some hope that GS may adopt some of EB's online operations but liquidating physical assets seems like a first step in the counter trend.

I've had such fun for the past 16 months using (abusing?) the tradein deals to accumulate credit at at least double my cash outlay. Then turning around and buying things at good prices (with 25% off and free shipping) from EB.

I think the end is near . . . i will likely liquidate my credit and move on.

I certainly have enough games to play for quite a while.

Yeah there is: Time Trial. It's got its own puzzles.

i have enough to play for quite a long time.. i didn't get to abuse the trade in stuff.. but i did get a lot of games (that 25 pecent off and free shipping never hurts) i'm still hoping that they will keep the online coupons.. but i own all the xbox games i really want and theres not much else i really want thats "cheap" right now anyways.... yeah the "real" changes won't take effect until after the holiday season though.

you don't like a magazine that has B2G1 free available for almost 2 months? personally, GI's my favorite mag. they thoroughly cover the gaming industry, more so than EGM and Gamepro. i am glad EB doesn't include their mag with the card, because after the first time i subscibed to GMR (do they print this anymore?) i was like "never again."

the reason i liked the Edge card is for i'm an hours drive away from GS or EB so online is the way i do business and GS has terrible online deals and prices. and Eb has 25 percent off and free shipping.. that rules.

And they also, always honor their prices. They honored their Donkey Konga 2 mix-up and also Trauma Center for $19.99. :D
