I can't wait for this movie:)
Wow, it looks like it still has the Spider logo too.
You went back to the fairy sig image. Cool! :)

That pic of Venom reminds me of the slime monster in Star Trek TNG.

Stay back Tasha! Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
So I'm guessing from the above video, Spidey and Venom will have a dance off
From the looks of things, Spidey's gonna get served.

Yep, I'm kickin it retro (whatever that means  )

Unless Eddie Brock bulks up a bit, I'm gonna have a hard time getting over it. Isn't the kid playing him the guy who was Eric from That 70's Show?

That's what I was thinking. Venom is supposed to tower over Spiderman. I guess they'll have a CG Venom or a body double, because thats the only way I'll believe it.

I think they want the characters of Parker and Brock to be very similar...not sure why, maybe like an alter ego thing...so i guess having a big guy play brock would make that hard to do?

either way i personally think Topher Grace (the guy playing Brock) would have made a funnier more true to the comics Spiderman since he can pull off the comedy better then Tobey

Yea, I'm not really a fan of Tobey's acting which always kept me kind of disinterested in the Spider-Man series.
Topher Grace has bulked up on creatine and BALCO (same place as Barry Bonds). It'll be a great match up!
Creatine doesn't help the short.
Brock Lesnar should fill the Venom suit.

Well, he does have the same name. I remember hearing a long time ago that The Rock or Vin Diesel were gonna play Venom.

Vin Diesel...I guess I could see. The Rock seems too old to me to play Venom. Topher Grace never would have been on my list of possibilities, but since they seem to be going with a "light version/dark version" kinda deal with Spidey, Grace seems a good parallel to Maguire. I'm looking forward to seeing how it's handled.

Topher Grace works great as the Venom if you want to base the character off of the Ultimate Spider-Man version of him. In it, Brock is an old family friend of Peter and acts as his mental equal (with similar physical features as well). This seems more of a possibility when you consider how much the Ultimate Universe has influenced Marvel's recent videogames and films.

i'll accept that...i dont have much experience at all with the Ultimate storylines...i grew up on the original storyline

Having Vin Diesel play Venom would have been so awesome.

Now I have a good reason to hate you. I did before, but couldn't quite put my finger on why.

Thanks.

Glad to help.

Let me know if you need anything else.

The Rock would have been cool in the role IMO.

Too old! How old do you think Vin is? I don't think there is a huge difference in age.

Based on IMDB Rock is younger.
Vin: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004874/
Rock: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0425005/

I said way back when it was announced that Doc Ock was gonna be the main bad guy for 2, that 3 should be Venom, but someone said it would be too complicated, story-wise.

This just goes to show, nothing is too complicated if mass amounts of ass kicking is involved... or Hollywood...

When I heard The Rock/Vin Diesel rumor, that was rumored they would be Venom for Spiderman 2. Then they announced it would be Dr. Octopus, and the rumors stuck for Spiderman 3.

dont worry people... I think everyone will be happy with Topher when they see him in film. The alien adds mass, plus in revelance to peter parker in these films (actor's name escapes me ATM) it is pretty much perfect. I say leave judgement for yourself after seeing the movie. So far we've seen how much of topher/venom in this movie? what... about 3 or 4 things? at least wait for some more stuff to pop up.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's going to work out just fine with Topher, it was just kind of a shock that that's who they chose to play him back when everyone had just found out :p
