This is CheapyD's site. Alot of the deals that he posts are given directly to him by whatever company is sponsoring the deal. Now, should Nintendo (or any other company) want to give a deal to Cheapy, they might see this and change their mind, not wanting to deal with a site whose members may or may not be selling/trading ill-gotten goods. Cheapy does a good thing with this site, and asks for no direct contribution from anyone to participate in the deal discussions and the trading/selling forums. Seeing as how this type of thing could affect a company's participation in this site (in this case a company whom the community would very much like to participate), I think all deals of this type (being ones whose item was obtained through questionable means or is intended for promotion and not profit) should be PM'd to Cheapy before they are posted in the actual forums. This is Cheapy's site, not ours. And it is rude and unfair to Cheapy to post something that may reflect negatively in the eye's of a company that wishes to give Cheapy the oppurtunity to advertise a deal.
Again, I'm not saying that joystickz was in the wrong for trying to trade the pen here, nor am I saying that anyone who accused him of stealing is in the wrong either. I am simply saying that it shouldn't be up to us; it's up to Cheapy in terms of what appears on his site. So in the future, if you have something you want to trade/sell that may cause a problem with someone, email or PM Cheapy and ask for permission. And if he says yes, ask Cheapy to post in the thread stating that he approved it, so that there is no uncertainty of whether it should be there or not. If you don't like it, don't post in the thread. And if you want to sell something that YOU KNOW will cause a problem (and don't pretend like you didn't know that it would be a problem), ask Cheapy for permission. That way, everyone stays happy.
Im sure that if Cheapy see's something he doesnt like on the site, he'll take it off. Thats also what he has moderators for to remove stuff like that. SO instead of bothering cheapy for every little question just let people post what they want. IF theres a problem with it, let cheapy deal with it. Im pretty sure that cheapy didnt askany of you personally to be his moral police.
Well, he did ask me, but my plate is pretty full running my table manners strike force, so I had to decline.
