so Cheapy are you going to split this with me? =P~

Did anyone's Under Defeat LE actually ship yet? The order I placed a few hours AFTER has shipped, but my Under Defeat has been "Preparing to ship" for two days now.

How exactly do I get a $5 coupon? I placed a ~$18 order and paid by paypal. I haven't received a shipped notice yet. Will I get a coupon with that? Did I miss a minimum requirement or something? Are they still giving out coupons with every order?

I wanted to break up my order into 3 or so smaller orders and use coupons, but if coupons aren't out there, I'd like to just make one big order.

[quote name='Sarang01']Depends on what the wait said for the game Roufuss.[/QUOTE]

All it says is "Preparing Your Order" but it's been preparing for the last two days now.

[quote name='mbstuff']How exactly do I get a $5 coupon?[/quote]

It's a printed coupon that ships with your order. They also include some game-related stickers with their logo on 'em. I'm not sure if there's a minimum purchase to get a coupon, but the coupon itself only works on orders totalling $50 or more.

So do all these games require a 'modded' ps2? Mine isn't. :(
Are there any rpgs or platformers worth getting that will work on a us ps2, or gamecube? (or even gba/ds)

You need either a modded PS2 or a import PS2. Gamecube you only need software (Freeloader/Action Replay) to play imports. Portable systems are region free, so they're good to go.

[quote name='Sarang01']"Rule Of the Rose" should be added to that sale banner. Last I checked it's $15 for the Chinese version and I THINK the verbal dialgue is in English. My friend was even raving about this game saying it was the best RPG he played for the PS2.[/QUOTE]

Just so everyone else knows, you're friend's on crack :D, this is by no means a RPG. It's more like an action/adventure or survival horror, and it's very playable but here's a couple translations/walk-throughs just in case.

I placed an order for the LE w/ poster and sticker and it has shipped already.

I was just about to point this out.... people should know that Atlus != RPG ;)

'Rule Of The Rose' is coming out in the U.S. this fall...

I broke down and got:
Tekken 5
Soul Calibur III
and 4 Sgt. Keroro Character Cell 3's
And 25.00 shipping (1-4 days).
I placed an order late last night, and early this morning it shipped :p
This should go very nicely with the SwapMagic 3.6 i got in the mail today!

Whatever. I'll still take paying $15 for it over paying $50 if it's halfway navigable.

$25 shipping?!! goddamn

The King of Fighters XI (not on the list but wanted it anyway)
Giga Wing Generations
Metal Slug

Probably going to order more stuff next week like Tekken 5, Soul Calibur III, and Children of Mana.

[quote name='toneroni']$25 shipping?!! goddamn[/QUOTE]

That's why if you know someone who's going to order a system from there order with them. The price then seems to go up VERY minimally when you use UPS, no joking. In fact if that's not the case and you have some friends place an order together under UPS if it's big enough.

[quote name='eldad9']You don't need that for the Dreamcast - you can download and burn the free Utopia boot CD yourself. Although it seems (I can't believe I'm typing this) some of the very latest batch of Dreamcasts do not read MIL-CD discs... read up on it, or try it, or something?[/QUOTE]

[quote name='62t']it really hasnt been proven.[/QUOTE]

It is true as far as I've experienced..then again it's only been one system I've experienced it with. I own 3 Dreamcasts; one of them I cannot use to boot anything with any Utopia discs or selfboot.

If anyone cares enough, I'll bother hooking up all 3 to find out which one it is. From what I heard it has to do with a bios change.

[quote name='toneroni']$25 shipping?!! goddamn[/quote]

Haha, the only reason I spent that much is because I wanted the games to come ASAP-As I am leaving for a few weeks fairly soon. Otherwise it would've been half of that :D:D

[quote name='Roufuss']Did anyone's Under Defeat LE actually ship yet? The order I placed a few hours AFTER has shipped, but my Under Defeat has been "Preparing to ship" for two days now.[/quote]

Mine says shipped, and I ordered it earlier today.

Now to find a reasonably-priced DC in good condition. :p

I ended up geting
Final Fantasy Trading Arts Vol.2
Wild Card (Japanese, No Region Protection)

Wild Card is a card based RPG by Square for the wonderswan. My japanese is really really bad so I imagine I will not get very far in it. These sort of sales make me wish I had a modded PS2.

'Rule Of The Rose' ~

My order shipped a couple days ago, and I got the Lucky Draw confirmation today.

Your Play-Asia.com Order #XXXXXXX contains one or more items eligible for the Lucky Draw. For each individual item (multiple quantities do not count!), you will have a chance to be drawn. [Lucky Draw numbers follow]

So it's for each different item in your order that's in the sale qualifies for an entry.

Edited to add: To clarify, the Lucky Draw confirmation is an email.

As did I... I must have got like over ten e-mails from them. :D

Rec'd my Lucky Draw numbers today, too. Damn this thread for making me obsessed with imports now.

[quote name='Warlock TCK']Does Play-Asia ship relatively fast?[/quote]

Yes, they generally process their orders very quickly. Each item has it's own estimated ship time, depending on inventory, and of course your shipping method will also affect how fast the order actually gets to you. Since it's international, the packages have to go through customs. The cheapest shipping method takes about two weeks for me.

[quote name='buttasuperb']Damn, Saikyo Shooting Collection Vol.2 isn't $19.90, it's $39.90.[/quote]

It was 19.90 the first couple days of the sale. It might have been a pricing error because it went back up pretty quick. It may have just sold so well that they decided to up it again.

Sweet! I should be receiving my order in a couple of days then. I placed my order for MotoGP '06 on June 30, and it shipped the same day.

[quote name='Chacrana']Question: Shadow of the Colossus. Did the US version include Japanese voices, or is only in the Jap/Asian version?[/quote]
The game is in make belive language, so there is no english or japanese language dub, just Japanese people blabbering random sounds.

The Asian version, however, have English, Chinese, and Japanese subtitles. (as stated in the description on play asia)

hmm, they have some gameboy games on sale too...

Does anyone have a clue what Bomberman GB3 is like/about?

I am a semi-fan of bomberman, and am wondering if I should get this.

And how is KuruKuru Chameleon? $10 for a PSP puzzle game seems like a steal, even if it does have crappy anime stuff in it...

Might as well get the game when it finally hits $20 in the US then...

got the Lumines Remixes CD, that should be good to listen to while biking...

The shipping was expensive, but it said 5-10 days! (not 2 weeks!)

business days.

[quote name='Quackzilla']ya, I know.

Last time I ordered from them it said like 10-14 business days...[/quote]

It varies by item, depending on their inventory/supplier(s). Also, 5-10 days is pretty much two weeks...

Got my Under Defeat for Dreamcast today. This was my first purchase with Play-Asia and I was very satisfied. Got a little sticker and $5 coupon with my game and will use it on my next purchase which will be soon. Another great online store to get cool stuff from. Thanks CAG for bringing this company to my attention.

[quote name='Drakken']They just lowered the price of Dance Dance Revolution with Mario (GC) game + pad bundle to $29.90. It's the Japanese version. Pretty sure that's a nice deal.[/quote]

Actually, it was priced that way from the start of the sale (see message #33 in this thread), but yes, it's a nice deal if you have an import GCN or otherwise a means to play it. It is probably worth repeating.

I did notice that stuff was added and restocked for the sale:

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-17-71-3-74-158-49-en.html

Among them, Kuru Kururin Paradise for GBA, which was temporarily OOS.

Also, Riiiiidge Racer 6 for 360 (Jpn) is $29.90.

I also got my UD DC today. Thanks to this sale, I've placed several orders and I've been really happy w/them thus far. They included a packet of cola-flavor "Magic Pops" (pop rock candy) this time--fun!

Not sure if this is the right place to post, but got my order from Play-Asia and received the usual $5 coupon off my next purchase of at least $50 (expires Sept. 7). I'm not going to use it, so to help out a fellow CAG'er here's the code:
