Damn, you beat me to it.

I find the irony of letting someone go who broke the law more ironic.

I don't know how the laws are in Prague, but maybe hate speech isn't protected speech over there.

I always wondered why the leader of the KKK is called the 'Grand Wizard'....Seems like a strange title.

They need fancy titles to draw attention away from small dick size.

They're all closet Dungeons and Dragons fans.

Holocaust denial is a pretty serious offense over there.

Yes, apparently they've provided a definitive answer to the question, "Too soon?"

Even though I'm a biased Euro at heart, I find their lack of protection for freedom of speech absolutely appalling!!!! Throwing people in jail for expressing unpopular opinions sets a very scary precedent...

Minor tangent, but that reminds me of the incident years ago when JBL was goose-stepping in Germany IIRC. I'm honestly surprised he even made it out of the country.

It isn't as simple as that.
Same thing, really, Guile. That's a giant violation of German law.
I know, that's why I am surprised he wasn't thrown in jail.

Americans are spoiled with what are probably the strongest free speech protections in the world. Progressives worldwide usually want to ban "hate speech" but this hasn't gained much traction in the US.
Why not?
Because every country/everyone has limits to what they find acceptable as speech. Everyone. Even the most ardent supporters of 100% pure free speech has their limits. There is always an exception. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar or naive.

Arrogant as it may be to say, that doesn't make it right. Or, more pointedly, any less disquieting from a "slippery slope" perspective.

You're also making another fairly ironic argument given the subject of the article, but I digress.

Certainly. Though I suppose we just differ over whether this situation demands one.
